When this song was first released in 1977, I was just about getting. ready for High School graduation and I was a total "rocker". I was also just starting to play the bass and coming to the brutal realization that disco and pop had some of the most amazing bass parts with offset rhythms that meandered about the "house beat" making it more appealing to me than your average rock n' roll of the day. I started to learn some of this stuff in secrecy and wouldn't DARE tell my peeps that I had been working on it for fear of rejection! Luckily, I finally started speaking out about how incredibly grooving and "in the pocket" some of these bass lines actually were! Nice work on one of my all-time favorite Bee Gees tunes, Gal!
These guys are fantastic! I love their work-cool disco vibes with exciting harmonies like Major 7ths, 11ths, and rich vocals. Must’ve been amazing to be in the States during the '70s and '80s when all of this was happening. No surprise you started to like the bass back then, hehe!
Fantastic🎉
