Great win for Auchinleck Talbot. I am from England but after visiting the ground whilst on holiday in September and getting a Talbot scarf, they are the team i follow in Scotland.
The dugouts which we recently installed are from Airdrie and the floodlights contain many parts from Cardiff Arms Park. Rumour is that our original floodlights also came from Cathkin as well as our boardroom table. Turnstiles allegedly from Brockville and Muirton Park. We are the original recyclers!
Thanks for coming once again Sam, great video covering our club once yet we can’t seem to send you home with a win😭, the decline of our club is so sad to watch
Very much agree with your sentiment about watching lower league teams on historic grounds than teams in overblown stadiums where the game doesn’t matter as much.
My good friend Nicki Paterson played for them 2-3 yrs ago. Incredible journey for him, from Hamilton to USA and back again. Great video, learned so much listening to the staff
Amazing video as usual Sam. From England but got connections to Scotland. Your videos at all levels of the Scottish football pyramid are great to watch. These old Scottish stadiums like Albion are unrivalled.
The game when the terracing was last used was 5/4/03, Albion Rovers v Morton in the bottom tier (known as Division 3 at the time). The away fans were housed in the terracing. The home side won 2-1.
Sam, the last time that bit of terrace was used, in 2003, Morton were the visitors. We were in the third division chasing promotion and brought a really big support that day as there were only 5 matches left after that match
I suppose the reasons are many and complicated but it has always amazed me how neighbouring Airdrie have been more successful since forever than Albion Rovers in the slightly larger neighbouring town of Coatbridge. It is a shame that so many teams in the towns within 25 miles of Glasgow find themselves losing out to locals who support Rangers or Celtic.
Funny how localised the weather can be in Scotland. I wasn't too far away watching another former SPFL side, East Stirlingshire v Lochee United at the Falkirk Stadium, and it was lovely sunny weather all game in Falkirk. Not even that far from Coatbridge! Good game too, finished 3-2 to Lochee United.
Weird fact; the most postponed game in Scottish Football was 1979. Inverness Thistle v Falkirk. 29 times called off due to ice in 1979. I was there eventually with my Dad, at Kingsmills Park, for the game.
Great video again, good to see some of the smaller grounds from down south. Wish i could get my edits done as quick as you, I'm still uploading the files from this afternoons match before i can start editing.
Love the vid Sam Was at the raith rovers game today vs falkirk and raith rovers bagged in a 11th minute penalty top corner to win the game What a result keep up the good work.
The last time I went to Cliftonhill we stood in the now condemned stand; 10 March 1990 and a 5-2 win for Saints (St Johnstone) having trailed 2-1, and we were on the way to the First Division title.
An amazing place. Effectively a two sided ground. Such a shame they can't use the other side as one of Scotland's historic terraces. These are your best video's Sam. Btw there is an amazing book on Third Lanark which shows that ground in many different stages. I did not realise that the seats at Albion Rovers were from Cathkin Park.
I was at Cliftonhill with Falkirk maybe 40 years old. Most of the Falkirk fans were under that old stand, but there was a big bloody hole in it, only for some local rascals to drop bricks on us..Happy days, Sam COYBairns 😊
Vic Kasule ? i think as well - remember it strange to see a black player in lower leagues in early 80s - Clydesdale Book ; was pictures of some players
Another great video Sam. Delighted that Talbot got through. Am I right in thinking it was me you first heard about them from way back in the early days of your channel? Or am I just making that up in my head? 🤣🤣🤣
Love your vids Sam, was at the Troon game today against benburb, 91st minute equaliser from 2-1 to 2-2 and then an absolute SCREAMER from over 35 yards to win the game 3-2 in the wos premier, also, how do you see the league tables, is there a certain app? Anyway you enjoy your night, love the vids, hope to see you at Troon some day ❤
Was at Dundee North End v Tranent today. North End's first ever Scottish cup tie, and they run out 4 nil winners. Absolutely ruined Tranent from the Lowland League. You should make your way to their next tie Sam. Could be a Dundee Derby against Lochee United. Draw tomorrow.
They won the bottom tier title as recently as 2015 and held their own in the third tier the next season. There needs to be a clearer path back for clubs that drop down. Easier in the Highland League for Brechin as the standard is much poorer.
Rovers could have a record low crowd on Tuesday night at home to Civil Service Strollers, competing with Dortmund v Celtic on TV. Why this wasn't moved to the Wednesday I can't understand. There are matches split between the two nights in the LL. They don't help themselves and I'm not getting at Rovers but the people running the league.
It wont be a record low and CSS will bring no fans and Rovers fans aren't staying away for that - our players train on Tuesdays and Thursdays so a Wednesday match would upset things.
Could I put in a request for the second round u should watch north end FC a Dundee club who have dominated the Dundee Junior league for a couple years or Lockie United to sign our former are both player Bobby Lynn who have got Peterhead away
The beuauty of football support: two young boys with a wonderful accent, so passionate about the match and Scottish football as a whole.
Great win for Auchinleck Talbot. I am from England but after visiting the ground whilst on holiday in September and getting a Talbot scarf, they are the team i follow in Scotland.
Talking to the legend that is Sandy Clark...Airdrie,Rangers and Hearts. Excellent.
and west ham
seats in the main stand came from cathkin park, home of third lanark
The dugouts which we recently installed are from Airdrie and the floodlights contain many parts from Cardiff Arms Park. Rumour is that our original floodlights also came from Cathkin as well as our boardroom table. Turnstiles allegedly from Brockville and Muirton Park. We are the original recyclers!
The lads Energy and views on the game at 11.50 is is brilliant 👏
Coatbridge obviously local to you but that's some effort to get the vid up only three hours after the game finished
Cheers Ross! Just edit as I go and it saves me time later on!
I totally agree with you about watching football in old school grounds....it's so much better
Magic...Cheers ma man...Eeka Peeka!!!..

Fantastic video as always! Hope there’s a video coming about Aberdeen. They are flying and level with Celtic.
Top drawer video once again sam.
Great turnaround from being at game, then on here. Love your content and Blair's also. Keep it going.

Watched all the games from that stand in the early 80s. Remember it being packed for a game against Dunfermline.
I have been to Cliftonhill it’s a proper, old school stadium.
I remember Celtic legend,Tommy Gemmell,managing Albion a couple of times (80s and 90s)!
Weird fact; the most postponed game in Scottish Football was 1979. Inverness Thistle v Falkirk. 29 times called off due to ice in 1979. I was there eventually with my Dad, at Kingsmills Park, for the game.
This game had Footy Adventures written all over it. Loved the intro by the way, love the see more of that in your match day vlogs 👏
Great video Sam, that stadium was an old school football stadium tho, lovely
Great video again, good to see some of the smaller grounds from down south. Wish i could get my edits done as quick as you, I'm still uploading the files from this afternoons match before i can start editing.
Remember being in that old stand late 90s for an away game
I also love these auld style footy grounds, youve already done the one i grew up with (camelon juniors) those terraced style grounds need protecting
Love the vid Sam
Was at the raith rovers game today vs falkirk and raith rovers bagged in a 11th minute penalty top corner to win the game
What a result keep up the good work.
Saw that Raith score! Finally Falkirk have lost a game 😮
@FootyAdventures yea I'm really surprised we beat them 😅
Football Heritage.
Cliftonville, the last time I was there I was watching speedway. That was sometime in the 70s.
Cliftonhill, not Cliftonville. You're thinking of the Belfast club.
@@gordon1545 True, although the area of Coatbridge called Cliftonville is there or thereabouts!
Thats a proper goal mouth that with the no grass! 😂
You failed to pick the correct ticket at half-time as it wasn’t mine! 😢

Wish i knew you were in my wee town today, I'd have popped along and said hello. ARFC fan since 1980
Bernie Slavin in the 80's was transfered from Albion Rovers to Middlesbrough i was at Cove v Arbroath the game was on Alba
Vic Kasule ? i think as well - remember it strange to see a black player in lower leagues in early 80s - Clydesdale Book ; was pictures of some players
That pitch is hilarious, i was there a couple of weeks ago and its so uneven 😂
I saw you doing the half time draw today just behind where I was standing, came up to say hello but you had gone. Was a good game to watch a neutral.
Hopefully I’ll see you next time!
Clifftonhill is the best non league ground in Scotland IMO
It’s a classic!
Yasss Mon the Rovers 🔥🇲🇰
Was there at the start of the season. What a shame the place is such disrepair.
Another great video Sam. Delighted that Talbot got through. Am I right in thinking it was me you first heard about them from way back in the early days of your channel? Or am I just making that up in my head? 🤣🤣🤣
I’ve probably heard a lot from you first! Always good comments that I get a lot of info from. Hope you’ve been keeping well!!
@@FootyAdventures - Thanks Sam and your welcome 😁
Yes I'm not too bad. You too I hope 👍
Albion nice kit😊
Did you see Brora scored last minute winner

Sam’s Went to my local
wake up 😍
we have an Albion rovers in melbourne with quite a complicated history, incorperating scottish and turkish migrants
There is also one in Wales and the Republic of Ireland.
Albion Rovers are also 130 years older than sevco 😂
Geez piece you
@baileypeden5852 Sam wiz pointing oot ah the club's ARFC are older than, but he missed oot the fact they're 130 year older than newco rangers.

It was North End's second game in the Scottish Cup, they won at Tayport in the last round.
@@gordon1545 apologies. I forgot about the preliminary round tie.
Talbot knocked out the junior cup but thrn beat Albion Rovers
17 minutes in to the video and Harry Potter is raging
Yeah now in lower league but for my teenage years they consistently finished bottom of 2nd division. So pyramid makes sense.
They won the bottom tier title as recently as 2015 and held their own in the third tier the next season. There needs to be a clearer path back for clubs that drop down. Easier in the Highland League for Brechin as the standard is much poorer.

It doesn't seem like a pyramid system, more like a long pipe system.
Sandy Clark needs to go, shocking manager
What are you trying to go with in that thumbnail pic ??

All good but "loyal" Albion Rovers fans? 98% of Coatbridge gloryhunts at Celtic
Get a real job
