Greg Miller returns to show us just how wonderful it is to work with an ancient tool that still has relevance and place in the 21st century. Drawknives not only make certain aspects of woodworking possible, the connect the worker to the wood in a very human and tactile way. Watch this video and be inspired by this Aussie craftsman.

Hi Greg. Dunno if you'll remember me; but I sure do remember you and the family. I am currently an active member of a men's shed and am currently building a forge to be able to teach myself knife making etc. One of my goals in this is to make a draw knife and found this vid very informative on several levels. Great to see your still wood working too mate. I remember some of the beautiful work done with jarrah by you; cubboards, turning etc. Hope the family is well. Please pass on to R, our love (H and me). I have sub'd and will take time now to watch all I can of what you've videod. Love n Blessings mate.

Hi Richard. Thanks for your kind comments. We will pass on your comments to Greg, as this isn't uniquely his channel. We have simply had the privilege of working with him to produce the videos he features in on our channel. There are some more to come.
If you wanted to catch up with Greg, he does have his own UA-cam channel:
      ua-cam.com/users/thejoyofwood
      Perhaps give that a try.
Meanwhile, please enjoy the hundreds of woodworking videos here on our Timbecon channel.
      Thanks again, and kind regards.

Hi there from a NEW sub living in Casey ILLINOIS [USA]!! Home of the World’s Largest Golf Tee. It originally weighed 3300 or 3800 pounds & is nearly as long as a semi-trailer!! Google if and when you get a few minutes. I will guarantee you will be impressed.
Now back to my one question for ya. And it’s a rather simple one: is the shave horse shown in this video walnut?? Or is it from something different??
Thanks for sharing your knowledge on this subject!!
    Mike H.

What is the brand of drawknife that you start out with in your video?
