      I do too! Its a neat little piece of marketing, and shows how affective rail can be. Thanks for watching!

    Nice old switcher. I like that banner they've hung on it 🤭

      Those older EMD SWs are hard to beat, and Progressive does a great job with them. Those banners are a neat touch too. Thank you for watching!

    A very interesting video. Good to see a single industry serviced, and traffic departing. Give context to some of the traffic seen at speed on the he main lines. I liked the drone footage as well for the extra dimension it adds, and we'll edited too. Thank you. 😀😀😀

      Thank you for the kind comment, and feedback on the video! The drone really adds a lot, and helps to show the trackage in the area. Its neat to see some old school branch line railroading in todays modern era.

    Cool to see such an old loco doing switching work.

      Sure is, and what makes it even cooler is that this unit is a former MN&S switcher back on home rails of all places! Thanks for watching!

    Oh the Northfield Day job. Went down to Faribault to crown cork or up the high line to lakeville. The job started at Northfield of course.

      Thanks for the comment! What era are you talking about for this job? The current opps start and end in Bloomington for this section of track.

    ****** JUST A SUGGESTION *** Rail traffic crossing the Mississippi this time of year with the leaves turning could be very interesting. I have really enjoyed all your videos.

      That would be cool, and I actually shot the HAT there the other day. I should pay it another visit before all the colors are gone. Thank you for the comment!

    I have visited the Dan Patch Line twice in my life: in late August 1998 and in June 2018. On my second visit, I photographed Progressive Rail EMD switchers at dusk, with flash! It was a break away from bland and boring rail action. I am no longer interested in photographing the same ol BNSF units.

    Is this a different line than CNWs line they called the Valley Run, that swiched out Savage and Shakopee? My old roomie was a brakeman in the 70s and worked that job a lot.

    • @SD457500
      @SD457500  3 роки тому +1

      This is different; this route is former MN&S, not CNW. This line would eventually connect with those tracks once it crossed the Minnesota River. That portion though, is OOS. Thank you for watching!

    Do you know if they still serve the Aggregate Industries on the north side of Richfield?

    • @SD457500

      I believe that they do, but the frequency in which, I do not know. Thank you for the comment, and watching!

      I’m not sure but I know that track often times has storage cars sitting on it.

    The slow fade cuts make this basically unwatchable for me, sorry. They're incredibly visually distracting and they mean that a large fraction of the video (probably upwards of 10%) is a blur between two different scenes. Fades give a sensation of time passing between the two shots but, here, there's no time passing.

    • @SD457500
      @SD457500  3 роки тому

      All's good; we all have different perspectives on this! They actually reduce the video length since they overlap different cuts. I appreciate the comment, and you watching.

      @@SD457500 My brain's too slow to watch two things at once! But thanks for engaging with the criticism. Watched a couple more of your vids and prefer those.
