I find your finance series (especially the house building series) very refreshing:your honesty and openness with everything is such a breath of fresh air. Good luck with completing the house. I can't wait to see that phase. 🏡
Madam,I live in the UK, and I work in the trade, I don't know how long they started the tiles in the kitchen I think they are slow because it a whole lot of work to tiles kitchen with all the sockets etc.p please be patient with them if you want a good job. My opinion though nevertheless great things you are doing.
I know what you mean sister Flo about price of cement; we started building in October and found out our Architect hadn't ordered cement in bulk and was planning to buy piecemeal and did for almost the foundation stage ..oh no no...the price was already over 3000 per bag. He tried to charge me the difference...I wouldn't have it! Still may come up later...lol. Long story short, I made contacts and bought 900 bags in bulk since I plan nonstop work until after roofing..building a duplex. Two weeks ago, realized we were almost out and had to do thesame again. To me, it's the best way to get more reasonable price, if you are able to afford that bulk. I like bulk buying in everything...meals etc
I’m about building my house in Lagos and I get a lot of inspiration & knowledge from your videos. Looking forward to seeing the video of the full completion of your house.
Weldone Anty Flo🙌🏾I would suggest you use a white chalk and draw the pattern how you want them to lay the tiles on the walls of the rooms so they don’t make more mistakes! My two cents🤷🏾♂️
Kudos! I can’t begin to imagine the frustration of having to supervise every detail and yet be paying an arm and leg! It’s ridiculous. House looks nice. 👏
Am so glad I subscribed. My house has just had the POP done and we are getting ready for the almighty tiling $$$$$. God help us but I know we will get it done. God bless you our sister
My sister, that wood floor will look very beautiful with white paint. Also you can write down how you want everything down on paper and maybe give it their leader to look. They should send you pictures as the work goes on,or video. You can easily correct their mistakes from far.welldone.

I want to comment on your Caption. Your money can not finish and this building can not be abandoned. In Jesus name. The money just got exhausted, my dear. Go and make more and get back and God will finish what He has started. Nwanyi oma!!!.
You have done a great job and safe trip back. Thanks for sharing and inspiring us to start building ours too. May God never dry that pocket where the money is coming from. Nice work.
Wow.. beautiful house..I hope I will be invited for the grand opening oh sis Flo..for the tiles,i love the vertical pattern more than the horizontal..the POP guy did amazing job..
Wow. Sis. I duff my hat. Well done. Some of us who don’t have your courage will just buy ready made and considering the loss of income from your time away from your job/ business. The finishing is equally important in a house, please let them do a good job. I understand your frustration. Our french speaking Cotonou people are generally very good artisans. Bless you my sister
You will normally do this during your vacation so it should not affect your job. I was only in Nigeria for the time equivalent to lots of people's vacation period. Some people take extra 2 weeks (without pay) and add to their vacation so they can achieve more. It's worth it.
Nne congratulations, you and oga have really done a great job. There is nothing like having a confi place to rest once head when one comes back home especially in the village. Norh east south and west, there is no place like home, and our own home is our respective villages, no matter where else we find ourselves in the diaspora. So once again congratulations!
Wow, the kitchen is spacious Aunt flo, i really like that. the house is going out so fine. Weldon dear Aunt flo, don't worry they will finish in due time.
sis Flo, I also follow you since 3 years now, I congratulations on this project, , this was exactly what I went through , I live abroad have to come and supervised, and the work been slow , also expensive and inflection, l also making sure that I see pictures of labour before I final accepted whom to used, keep it up,t the project is almost ready, looking stressed and tried with the way labourers, slow work , any you said it all, God bless you richly in Jesus mighty name
Aunty you are awesome! Pls be patient. #Ndidiamaka! LOL. Naija is slow in building. You have to keep coming home and do the supervising so that things will go smooth. Na wa! We have started building in Imo state. Its a big project and we have to be patient! Jisike ma, the house is turning out so well, I cant wait to see this house when its finished. God bless.
Congratulations! It is not easy. I started mine exactly October 10th, 2020 and we are at the same stage as yours. Luckily I found Togolese and Ghanaians to do my job. Otherwise it would have been painful dealing with our people.
All thanks to God for what He has done and what He's still going to do and for your long stay in Nigeria, may He continue to lead and protect you now and always. See you in Spain Sis. Flo
Edging for tiles is necessary, but the one for floors is different to the one for walls. I hope they used the correct one. They should not leave it long to do the grouting of the tiles, especially in the heat... it’s unfortunate that you should have the headache though... the foremen should be the one to do things correctly, and rectify things.
Chineke Daluu. Well 90% is A+ abi? So you passed my dear sister. We thank God for his mercies! By your next trip it will be completed ijmn 🙏🏽 By the way the wood finish tiles that was “messed” up......were you able to salvage it?
Yes, we thank Him! Amen to your prayers. For the badly installed tiles, for now I'm thinking about it. Hubby said he doesn't mind for his room but I foresee a long time of those tiles annoying me whenever I enter my room. 😂 So I may well change them before painting. Let's be going first.
Sorry to say this but can't help it. It's a lazy tiling job on the kitchen walls. The cuts very important around switches but they went the easier way of joining tiles. Welldone money flying quick. Those shining things are called tile trim. I am a" builder" and electrician in UK and do supervise projects in Nigeria too so I m happy to give tips and advice.
Hi this freeman from Midwest states having knowledge-based of the building business finance designer floors plans here the time cost labor is up there to be do this in nigeria in last yrs even this job not completed at this point u hv did awesome wonderful job more then most u hv bless your family and people in this villages in this country that would be a 12. Millions dollar Madison completed in rich area nothing to complain about be bless god
Flo I really love your house. I'm in another country and I'm wondering if I can borrow your house plans and use it. I haven't found a house I love here
The tiler is not good at all because you can see that he doesn't know that tiles have head and tail. You can see easily where head is on head. There's always a dot to show the head and tail. You may be looking at your walls and seeing that something is wrong with out knowing what is that. Only good architects can see it immediately they enter the site. You're doing a good job.
Well done Sis you're doing a great job. I'm just picking some ideas here and there for my new home yet to be built just recently bought 2000sqm at St Helena's Bay Western Cape and still here in London. Hope to start my project after this virus is under control.
well done sis Flo, I went through all this too , You said it all, please take care of ur self, cos you look stressed, God bless you richly in Jesus mighty name
Horizontal is better not only preferable because horizontal gives an impression of a larger space. It expands the space. Congratulations on the house anyway
I think it's a matter of preference because for me, that horizontal bathroom now appears shorter, like my head will hit the ceiling even though we intentionally added extra clearance to the heights of the rooms in this house. I unconsciously duck whenever I walk into that bathroom. LOL It's so bad it makes me feel dizzy to be honest. Maybe if the tiles were plain, it wouldn't be that bad.
I think most of the job has been done.one important thing is staying on ground to supervise your job.most Nigerians answer professionals but they are not.imagine what would have happened if you are not around.the house is a nice house standard.lets hope money will come so as to finish the job.
No wonder the book of proverbs says the price of a virtuous woman is worth more than rubies. I sincerely believe madam Flo qualifies as one. Men who have highly intelligent , resilient, resourceful, focused and goal oriented wives as this woman do not often know how much blessing from God that is. Give the same money to some women, they will steal half of it and lavish it in frivolities. A good wife is the best blessing any man can receive from God because it comes as a total package. In my case i was not so lucky and i have spoken from a bitter experience. Well done my dear sister, you have done noble. Jidekiji!!!
It seems they do a nice job while working under supervision. I personally like the tiles. Time management is not an African thing, which is a very very sad thing. It is coming out really fabulous.
I have a quality paint to recommend for you ooo Flo, its called PERMOLIT PAINTS very quality, and with a very perfect finish, you will love the paint. Meanwhile, welldone, Agu nwanyi ka ibu, a few men can do the very job you have done here.
Does this place have water supply ? If not will the solar be able to Operate your own water pump? I’m asking because I’m building a house in my ancestral village in the middle of nowhere in Uganda. No electricity, no water supply. I’m just wondering how far solar can go. Great job 👏🏿
Wow I just found this channel very much needed. How long would you suggest someone stays in Nigeria to complete a project? Until the project is finished or when it is half way done?

But so far so good you are doing well and I love the pop so neat and lovely design. I can't wait to see the unveiling of the house. Interior is were all the money goes. You and your husband are doing well.
My Cotonou tilers could not come. 😭😭😭 Their money will not increase o. They charge per quare meter ooo. So it's based on the size of space to be tiled. Their oga took 4 days off to attend a wedding. Whether he is the groom, I don't know. I went to film this video and found out his second in command also travelled. Unserious bunch! Thanks Jossy.

They do better under supervision, Channeling the rain drops with those pipes are the best
It's not an abandoned project.
God will provide for you to complete this amazing job.
Very beautiful and massive structure.
Kudos.👍
There's no God that helps people to own homes, you do it if you can.
We’ll all be here to celebrate the opening on GOD

Those people really need supervision seriously and it's frustrating. I was just talking about this with my mum few hours ago.
I can’t believe I have watched this video more than twice, I was showing something to my boys, in this video.
Our Mazi, nice to know you have other interests apart from the liberation struggle. You’re highly admired.

Then next time. Please use aluminum roof gutters. It will outlast the building. The PVC type is not going to last.
