Broke my heart when you spray painted that big beautiful, maroon bowl.
Came here to say the same thing! That was probably a hand done glaze. So sad
yes that glaze was beautiful
We buy bags of large white rocks from Lowes (under $5), find a spot to spread them out in our garden, then let our grandchildren make a fairy garden! I save all the figures and fairy decor from year to year, adding to it when I see a new item. To finish our garden, we sprinkle some of the see through gems that come in bags (different colors), and the sunlight makes them sparkle!!
So fun!!
Sounds adorable but doesn't the DT stuff ruin in the rain?
@@juliesatterlee5450 Not at all!!
Amazing cabinet
What a sweet idea! It’s one I will implement. Thank you🧚🏻♀️🧚🏿🧚🏻♂️
I never compliment anyone but wow that dresser came out amazing
Thrift stores marked up their prices 30% during the 2020 and 2021 debacle. They’ve reflected inflation as well. And some of us can’t even afford to shop there anymore.
I agree with you about thrift stores! Goodwill in my area is now charging $5.49-$6.99 for a single piece of children’s clothing! I’m talking size 2t and 4t! I could hardly believe it. It seems so wrong for a “charity” to charge people so much…inflation hurts the consumer most!
@@lorimills7372- It’s simply greed. Goodwill is for profit; look on the site I mentioned above to see where/how profits are spent. Many of us in my area got 2 locations shut by bombarding the regional offices w/ complaints of the shenanigans they were pulling on customers (the worst was always saying it was marked wrong, outright saying people were thieves switching tags! if every other store has to honour the marked price so do they), the deplorable way the subhuman mgrs treated employees😢. I haven’t stepped foot in one since I asked for a discount on a vtg dress that was completely trashed, falling apart w/ only the neck, sleeve trimming salvageable & they threw it in the trash rather than discount it; that’s a charity org? Not to mention caring about the environment? I even got cash back (unheard of) when I returned the items I [stupidly] bought after writing the regional office about the debacle, stating I’ll never shop there again thus wouldn’t accept credit. There’s power in numbers; gather people in your area & bombard regional offices, better off gone!
I work for Goodwill in the Human Resources Department and we are definitely non-profit. We have several missions that the community supports through donations and shopping at our stores. We’ve helped many individuals including at risk youth, disabled and veterans find jobs along with other assistance with finding housing, etc. I’m sorry you had a bad experience at your location. Please consider supporting Goodwill.
@mamitapreciosa100 What you're saying is so true. It also speaks volumes of the state our country is currently in. May God help us all.
I would agree with this. I was shopping for school clothes for my teen last year, and Goodwill wanted $18 to $20 for a used pair of jeans! I've been trying to find more smaller, local thrift stores instead. I'm not saying I wouldn't shop at Goodwill, but the prices have gotten ridiculous. If I can go to Walmart and pay like $1 more for brand new, then the thrift store really isn't a savings anymore.:/
I am not a thrifter. I am not a hunter. And I really don't like shopping. But I do really enjoy watching you have fun doing it!
Your redo of the dresser is UNBELIEVABLE 👏👏👏👏
Kathryn, you won’t believe this but I have that EXACT dresser you got to DIY that I got for $20 from a. Garage sale last year. You just inspired me to do something because I HATE the way it looks like now 😂😂
It really is stunning now, isn't it? And if you do this, you can really impress many people!
I loved the black and gold dresser you created from the thrifted furniture! You are very talented.
I know this is not the popular opinion but I love the way that bowl turned out. I would not put the fairy stuff in it though. We buy the more realistic stuff like the doors and put them around the neighborhood trees for people to discover. I like to keep a big bowl on the entry way table. Everyone tosses stuff in there. Wallets, keys, school and gym id’s, pokemon cards, half empty containers of gum, you name it. It’s there. You can scoop it all up as you walk out the door. I like to buy the little fake buildings from the fairy section. My oldest grandson spray paints them silver and white and they all get set out at Christmas time. We have a kind of tipsy tower made with thrifted tea cups and saucers super glued together that we put little plants in. We just spray them with water from a spray bottle to water them. It sits in the huge tank (thrifted, once belonged to a snake) that our leopard gecko lives in. The tank is large enough to have different areas at different levels. The live plants keep the humidity just right for him. I live 20 minutes from LSU and Baton Rouge Community College. 30 minutes from Southern University and just under an hour from Southeastern University. At the beginning and ending of all semester’s on campus and the neighborhoods just off of campus are full of furniture. Beds, dressers, tables, couches, etc… for anyone who really needs furniture and can’t afford it at restore or the local thrift stores that is the place to go. Every piece of furniture in my first house including the baby bed was rescued from a student. I drew the line at mattresses but those or in abundance as well. That house had two master bedroom sized rooms and one smaller one. I used this cube shelf things as dividers in my kids room and as book shelves everywhere. Not to long ago after watching you redo a bathroom with dollar tree tiles I covered one of those shelves with the tiles and then heavily painted it with clear varnish and set it outside in what all of the males here call “the cave”. I always love watching your videos and my favorite part is always when you say “you are enough”.
The crystal gallery wall has a museum quality feel. Very nicely done!
I love how creative you are - & you are giving such clear directions. Still a teacher at heart!
I'm never so lucky to find something so beautiful as those lamps.
Awesome to combine thrift stores and dollar tree merchandise to make something fabulous
I not only have always loved your content, but your energy, it's contagious! I don't even get to do half the things I would love to from your videos but I SO enjoy living vicariously! YOU are enough!! Love, hugs & God Bless you 💕💕
Wow! That dresser came out stunning! Looks super expensive! And those lamps are gorgeous! 😍
Love the dresser make over and the jewelry hack.
Out Habitat for Humanity has awesome paint colors in 3 finishes in lots of colors. And at $19 a gallon!! Paint can be over $50 a gallon at hardware stores. Score!! I’ve painted many rooms and furniture with it.
WOW! There are just NO words Kathryn, I'm SPEECHLESS!
So many great ideas! Those lamps were definitely a great find, wow! I love getting furniture from the thrift store. The quality of furniture today is so disappointing, I’d rather redo older pieces, or just enjoy them as they are.
Fantastic ideas, as per usual! 🤩 My favorite part? Sticking around for the end when you tell us WE. ARE. ENOUGH. 💕 I remember when you first started saying that, I thought, WOW what a beautiful sentiment. 🥰 Thank you for being like my cool older sister or aunt. Love, your Texas teacher friend! 👋🏻
The dresser and jewelry turned out lovely❤🙏🏾
Thank you for your cheerfulness and kindness. Sometimes I watch just to see you smile.
You are enough, too. Thank you for your time & inspiration. I like a good fairy garden. I didn't know that Dollar Tree had pieces for them.
The dresser looks so nice. My grandchildren, has one that needs to be redone. You just helped me.
The gallery wall looks stunning.
Thanks for sharing all your wonderful ideas. May you have a Blessed day.
The dresser is out of this world!
Love the black dresser. Beautiful! Looks so high end.
LOVED your dresser flip! I love natural wood with a color contrast the best. I would have left the top natural with a sealant. I love the hardware too!
Wow Kathryn love all your find. That black tall boy is stunning. Ball also and the jewellery is so elegant. Great finds all.🎉👌👍
Oh my goodness I love what you did w/ the black dresser. That would also look great if you added the ornate metal feet! Beautiful
Love the dresser flip. Turned out so elegant with the black and gold. All your flips were amazing as always.but the dresser was my favorite.
One of my favorite videos. I loved the dresser. Can’t believe you found the lamps! The black mat & crytals, chef’s kiss. Can’t wait for the next video! 🥇🏆🏅
I’m always conflicted after watching your creative videos! I’m more of a minimalist but I find myself making clandestine trips to the Dollar Tree to consider buying things you share!
OMG! That was my exact childhood dresser you thrifted! Pretty sure my dad still has it in his house.
That dresser is STUNNING! Great job!
The dresser transformation is fantastic! So many great finds!!
Wow that looked like so much fun! Thanks for all the inspiration you brought to the video.❤
The dresser is stunning and those lamps are such a find. I love classic lamps and furniture so much more than the modern stuff.
One of my favorite ReStore buys is in the lighting section. The glass shades that are from wall fixtures and ceiling fans are beautiful when turned upside down over a votive or tealight candle. They make a pretty glow and there is always something to match your decor.
I like the jewelry pieces you made. They look like they could be a very expensive set! Well done 👏.
Thanks to resellers thrift stores have raised their prices so high, the people they were meant for can’t afford it. How WONDERFUL to make a quick buck, huh?
There are hundreds of resources to help everyone in their current situation.
How condescending, I bet your a hoot at parties
😂 I got so tickled when you were talking about the Peter Pan frame & You said... I didn't end up buying it well... because it's ugly" 😅😂😂😂
The necklace and earring set looks way better than the original necklace
I LOVE these thrifting/re-purposing videos!! Please keep them coming!❤
Loved the jewelry dead and the crystals displayed on the wall! ❤
I love that necklace and earrings. I never would have thought of that
Love all of these. I'm an avid thrifter and, sadly, the shops in my area really don't have much furniture, including our ReStore. I think people just don't part with it around here or they sell it themselves online for way too much money.
I have the same issue. 😢
The dresser is very elegant!
Wow! So many great ideas! Love love love the 9 black frames! 💡I have some of my Grandfather’s rare coins. Thanks Kathryn ❤
You're such a spark of sunshine!
That dresser turned out fantastic!
You are such a precious soul and I love your ideas!!! Thank you!!!❤
U r so creative! I love it! Your channel inspires me and gives me ideas. The added bonus is, “U r enough.” Thank u for being inspiring, creative and encouraging us.
You saved a lot more than $700 on your copy cat RH crystal on linen. They sell them for $700 A PIECE! You made 9 for a savings of $6300!! Cha ching $$ BTW your copy was amazing 👏
Love your channel. I adored the jewelry hack. I was lucky to inherit costume jewelry. I've never wanted to get rid of some sentimental pieces, but you have given me a few ideas on how to make more modern. Thanks
Have the pieces evaluated and appraised before breaking them down.
You may be surprised by how valuable they may be.
Lo v e the dresser! Bowl too...Iove your ideas! ❤
THANK YOU - for not being one of those types that show your ideas at hyper speed. You speed up in the right spots. I dont have to watch it 10x to figure out what you did. Keep those videos coming.
Great ideas for saving money and having new ways of using items from the thrift store.
The dresser looks amazing.
Nice dresser re-do!!
The lamps are gorgeous!!!
That wall art with the black canvases is stunning!!🖤🖤🖤
The bowl looked better when it was red. 😢
I know 😭
Ahhh I had that dresser growing up in the 90s!! Looks amazing with the black! ❤
The viral R.H. Moss bowl can be duplicated very easily also. I got the wooden acacia bowl from Aldi for 19 dollars. You could just make a concentrate bowl with sand and concentrate mix or a thrift bowl painted with the stone paint. Dollar tree floral foam carved into hills in the bowl add either the reindeer moss from DT or Spanish moss over the floral foam hills. The RH bowl is hundreds of dollars mine cost 23 dollars 🎉
You have a fabulous energy AND you're so creative 😮
AMAZING video Kathryn!! Love, love, love it!!👏🏼👍🏼❤😊🫶🏼
so many great ideas, had to order the soft close hinges . . I had no idea that you could convert cabinets into soft close so easily and inexpensively. Thank you Kathryn. Love the dresser and lamps!!
I absolutely love this video! Wow 🤩 especially the jewelry at the end 😮 gave me so many amazing ideas thank you!!
The black dresser came out great
I just love watching your videos. I look forward to seeing your videos pop up in my notifications.
I'm now thinking of putting family pictures on the black canvases. I think that they'd really pop.
You always brighten my day.
That dresser came out amazing!
I watch you all the time, and today you showed an item I've been trying to find for months. Uplights! I was so thrilled I dragged myself out to the Dollar Tree (not exactly around the corner) and they had nothing like it. Soooo disappointed. I want those darn things!
You are the kindest person ever 💕
You are so talented and creative!
I really enjoy all your videos!
You seem like your genuinely kind. ❤️
Wow! Fabulous video. I love the black dresser you did. It turned out fantastic. I loved all your projects you are so talented. Thank you for sharing ❤❤️❤️
The lamps turned out amazing
Great ideas! Thank you for all you do for your viewers!
I love two lamps, a good fine. Keep giving us great tips!
Thank you.. I love redoing thrifts.
Brilliant as always Kathryn!! Love you!! 💗
Those lamps were an amazing find!
Instead of silver wipes, I use Brasso to clean a lot of metals. It works beautifully.
The dresser was beautiful 😮 I loved the rock frame gallery and the tips about the jewelry.
Love & prayers ❤️ 🙏🏻
You are so talented and smart with everything you do. I love watching for your videos and what new information you bring to us. Bless your family. ❤❤❤❤
These were amazing! Please keep sharing more thrift ideas mixed in. That dresser was beautiful and such a steal!
Love all these ideas, Kathryn!! Thank you!!
Love your programme but unfortunately live in New Zealand and we don't have a Dollar Tree .however your ideas inspire.
I love love love all of you DIY projects and I get so much inspiration. Thank you for sharing 👍🤩
I'd like to mention the chalkboard paint at Dollar Tree is made by Plaid, a well-known craft supply company.
Wow, Katheryn, you did an awesome job on that thrifted dresser. It turned out amazing! And the thrift store jewelry makeover necklace & earring set turned out spectacular. TFS!
I just recently found out you are in NC just like myself, and LOVE your videos and all of your tips and tricks. I sure wish you were my neighbor because I have SO MANY unfinished projects I sure could use a helping hand to make it all come together, however I love the inspiration you give me now if I could get my hands and brain on the same page I be golden lol . Thanks again for sharing all of your ideas
OMG!! The dresser is amazing!!
I always enjoy your videos. Have watched for about a year now. Thanks so much for your time & work. Blessings Always

Wow!! You always amaze me. Everything you do turns out perfectly. ❤😊
I did this with a piece of my jewelry! I love how it turned out!
Wow so many cool ideas and your hair looks so good long. It's so youthful❤
I always love all of your diy projects. I have to say, though, when you painted that bowl, was a sad moment.
The dresser is amazingly beautiful!!!!!! Love the jewelry hack!!! Why didn’t I think to do that? I love your energy!! Keep shining beautiful Kathryn!❤
Love you doing thrift store stuff!
