Patch, patch, patch. Just a matter what they fix then what they break lol. Used to it now. Still going to play and complain. Just have to adapt, but dang I wish defense would just get stellar love from the beginning like the offense.
Played a game last night and watched the CB match the #2 receiver on a streak after the #1 stopped on an 11-yd curl 🤦🏽♂ Ran the same play, in practice, against Palms to confirm the CB does properly match the #1 on the 11-yd curl. Many will not notice this issue in the match coverage logic that affects only Quarters coverage....I hope EA can identify this defect and fix it.
I swear i responded to this a couple days ago. They usually do, the are a ton of coaches that play this game and talk to them directly. Idk why they did this after making such big strides in the logic. Honestly, all the needed to do was add more checks 🤷🏾♂️
I have a small bit of hope that they might fix that in an upcoming patch but that is super annoying if not. It worked correctly last year so why would they mess with the corners coding in quarters. Makes no sense.
I can’t believe they took off the Match coverage setting in Madden too, i get it for CFB to an extent, but how do you introduce this function, have it for a couple years and then take it out. I was just learning how it all functions and now you can only use it for two different coverages essentially.
@x7empestx I mean, there's a LOT to match. The one thing I wish Madden would do is at the very least explain Quarters, Palms, and 3 Match (the basically took 2 match out the game) because sure...imma need lol I bought books to understand it and I'm subscribed to like 30 different coaches cause I just love football BUT for the people that might wanna use it but don't understand why it does what it does and then...CHANGE how it plays is wild lol and like you said...they took out the ability to just take it off. NOW, with that said....any match coverage...if you shade down or up...it turns that coverage into drop zone instead of match.
@@WhosmanzYT man that’s such a terrible change to the game, felt like they were moving in the right direction with it on Madden 24, I didn’t understand it at first and was mad how it would leave wide open holes in the defense, but I started studying how Nick Saban employed it and wanted to start getting a good scheme going in Madden, then they just take it out entirely to toggle it on or off now in 25. Between that and not allowing custom playbooks in regs like CFB has me pretty heated man because I took my game to another level in Madden 24 once I started adding/removing plays to my playbook. I had great formations and plays for certain scenarios, now I’m limited to whatever default playbooks I feel comfortable with, which like you add all these new plays/routes to the game, but now I can’t even access them in the way I was able to in the last one. Always 1 step forward 2 steps back with EA. They add some cool stuff to the game, take out some stuff you liked, finally fix something that’s been an issue for 10 years, sell you on next years game and then they rinse/repeat.
