I love seeing how less pompous things were with the first Empress. Not surprisingly why Empress Doweger would fight about it, and still, the Empress would constantly remind the concubines to be frugal in their clothes and accessories. With Xian as Empress, all the palaces and clothes looked more colourful and expensive

Because fhe Empress Dowager specifically asked Ruyi that the concubines should be all beautiful flowers and be in total harmony as much as possible. The previous Empress was frugal and the Emperor did see her as a Buddhist with a virtuous heart, but the Empress Dowager only chose her because she would serve a lower temper than Ru Yi, who she felt was incompatible with Hong Li’s character.

Sin mencionar que sus registros del palacio fueron limpiados y sus retratos fueron removidos
No te molestes. Es una serie basada en hechos reales, pero no apegada totalmente a la realidad. Tengo entendido, que Ruyi no era tan buena como la describen en esta serie. De cualquier manera, lo que intenta decir está historia, es que al haberle dado ese final, fue con el objetivo de hacerla libre, ya que al principio, el emperador le dice que para poder pasar juntos a la otra vida, tienen que descansar juntos, y para que la entierren junto a él, tiene que hacerla emperatriz. El la liberó de pasar la eternidad con él, ya que ella dejó de amarlo.

Debes ver YanxyPalace que tiene un poco mas de realidad, de hecho el emperador quizo mucho a la emperatriz Xiaoxian y a la emperatriz Nara (Que efectivamente cayo en desgracia sin saberse el porque realmente) Y a su Noble consorte Imperial Ling que manejo los asuntos del haren como una emperatriz sin serlo realmente despues de que la emperatriz Nara muriese.
Ella cometió el peor crimen declararse muera en vida l9 hizo cuando se cortó el pelo. Ella misma Quito su retrato de las pinturas. El emperador sólo respeto su deseo de no ser contemplada como emperatriz
Creo que es muy difícil acertar que fue exactamente de cada concubina, emperatriz o emperadores, ya que la apariencia es importante, por supuesto harán pasar muertes como si fuesen enfermedades, darán títulos a los muertos para hacerse ver benevolente y seguir con el favor de los clanes. La historia puede escribirse por conveniencia, lastimosamente nunca sabremos con totalidad que ocurrió.
Ula-Nara, casi toda información está destruirlo y la última vez que se hizo un examen óseo, se registró que mantenía veneno.
Incluso en la actualidad se ve reflejado que deben hacer todo lo posible para aparentar.

@@lleshanasayurimontano7046 , if you want spoilers, everything turned out to be instigated by Consort Jia, the consort from Korea, who from the beginning, plotted against Ruyi by telling lies about her to the Empress and the other consorts.. Not to let the Empress and the others off the hook but they chose to believe in her lies against Ruyi at seeming face value. But the series had in store another villain after Consort Jia who turned out to be even worse.

Even in death, Imperial Noble Consort Gao is denying her crimes just to protect her clan.
She didn’t deny them she literally confessed everything to the emperor the emperor only protected her clan because that was the only way she would confess.
The main reason behind her being the most favoured concubine was because of her powerful clan. The emperor couldn't offend the members of gao clan as he needed their support in the court therefore he didn't send her to the cold palace just like ruyi rather he ordered royal physicians to stop treating her so she would eventually dies because of her sickness.

Foot binding was a custom on han Chinese. They were Manchu royalties and they didn’t follow Han custom. How could the Manchu ride horses in the annual royal family trip if they had their feet disfigured
@@麒麟葉 there was also a part in the other series - yanxi palace - where the emperor has a fit bc one of the prospective concubines had bound feet and he had her hauled away for punishment. it had been banned by the manchu emperors. (in the true history as far as I understand it)
