En el capitulo que Ruyi renuncia a ser emperatriz cortándose el cabello le pregunta "yo queria se emperatriz?". Cuando llega la Princesa de la tribu Han, el se hace pintar el cuadro por el sacerdote jesuita italiano con ella, sin ser emperatriz, es decir, para Yongli ya no era importante Ruyi ni siquiera como emperatriz, ya que se super enamoró de la Princesa de Han e hizo por ella cosas que nunca hizo por Ruyi. Ya no tenia ningún interés por Ruyi, pues aceptó casarse con Yongli porque estaba enamorada y ella creia que Yongli también le amaba, pero vemos que Yongli no puede amar a una sola mujer si los valores en los que fue criado y vive le permiten tener tantas esposas.
