UA-camrs must all go to Harvard, because this is a great lecturer, clearly intelligent, well articulated, and presented. Coming from a top Russell Group uni in the UK, this guy presents better than 90% of my lecturers - which is unsurprising because it's Yale.
@@zhihannai8633 Oxford university (the highest ranked university in the world )is a Russel group. It’s the English equivalent to Ivy League. Why are all American so ignorant
Marvelous. The way he has presented the topic is amazing, before this I could not understand the theory very well but this 15 mint clip is very comprehensive, help me to understand the topic. Thanks :)
I understood the non-linearity of probability weighting function in human behaviour and probability itself better by this theory than statistics based degree lectures and lesson for three years at university.
he gets lost and becomes boring (although the thing he is explaining is really interesting) no wonder during the clip some students are leaving. (you can hear the doors)
He sure knows what he's talking about but seems a little squishy presenting it to his students. Maybe it was a spontaneous act of explaining prospect theory or he was just not prepared at all on how to present it properly. Either way I personally would've expected more by a Yale professor.
very bad presentation of prospect theory! he didn't even make a single example of the famous amazing chart, what is it's relation to risk aversion, loss aversion and reference dependency... why?
he literally says in the start that he won't cover everything and you have to cover stuff yourself. you dk the context/setting of this video and for the most part, it seems like he's teaching a class, wherein he can later cover certain topics or have someone else go over them as per need of students. This video doesn't deliver on promises it hasn't made, perhaps moderating expectations in such a case would be wise.
Agumon5 if you think about it, it looks like he has a lot of other things going on in his head (which is perhaps why he got the Nobel prize in 2013), so this is like an autopilot mode
@@Nickins Lmao that's just not how thinking or attention works. He's not thinking up novel theories in the back of his mind while presenting the lecture. There's plenty of time to do that outside class anyway.
@@rutvin8763 that's not what I meant. I meant that he cannot quite focus on the lecture, which was obviously practiced and performed many times, simply because he is thinking about something else while presenting
No disrespect to this dude but I'm glad I never paid for this information. He just cannot hold my attention for more that 15 seconds. He had 15 minutes to explain Loss aversion and failed to do it really.

Revi im doing my masters at Queen Mary which is considered a very good university and most lecturers there cannot teach to save their life
The lecturer is Nobel Prize Winner Robert Shiller dude.. No wonder you couldn't get into oxbridge, lse, ucl, imperial lol

If you find that good.... He's so bad , our lecturers are way better than this
Prof. Shiller received the Noble Economics Prize in Oct 2013.
This was really helpful in helping me understand non-linear weighting probability as well as the diminishing weight of marginal utility! thank you!
Thank you! Clear and helpful explanation!
Great lecture, many thanks for uploading it!
ingenious presentation.
This was really helpful! Thankyou

Too well-explained. Great job!

his explanation is great and easy.
oh my god, he is soooooo goood! Can someone tell me the his name? He is amazing, but what else to expect from YALE!
Hey, he is the famous Robert Shiller, the guy who won Nobel Prize for economics.
I needed lecture insurance against this guy.
Absolutely Brilliant. The best video I watch this year. Thanks Prof Schiller. #SecretsSelfmadeBillionaires

Is this Prof Shiller?
Yeah :P
"Losses upset Investors more than gains un-upset them." Nice line! Have you heard the one about the two beggars in front of the Catholic Church?
I love Rob Shiller!
Apple paranoia - best insurance selling ! Our iPhones are most secure - still works !!
yup, still works

Actually, they might be entering..
Professor Robert J. Shiller
Why they interrupt the flow of knowledge from concepts to far deep into real world????
What do you mean?
I thought this was a pretty good lecture. Don't know what people are complaining about.
Probably complaining that this is not a video by Amos Tversky. There appears to be no video at all of Amos Tversky.
Who is this profesor???
Caltech students moo haa haa

Who is this professor? I'm sure he's smart but he needs communication traiining
prof shiller noble prize winner
omg prof shiller
Wow, some guy at Yale is actually writing his "p" that way? Unacceptable.
Poor presentation and communication skills. Incredibly smart individual.

It's not his fault, you're stup1d
The lecturer is terrible...keeps interrupting his own thought flows....Its only when he delivers the point that his brilliance flows through.
