I’m so happy that there are more and more brown skinned girls being represented in the media especially someone my daughter can look up to.
Aaaah brown skinned girls...you are simply amazing
You want your kids to look up to some one who degrades men and promote racisms? Good for your kids.😂😂
yess in ginny and geogia they put padma as a pretty girl so causally... like it didnt feel forced yk which is a big step in the acting industry to bring representation
I'm really happy about it too!☺️
Good lord? God helps us work your thinking. Whatever happened to talent. Now, it is skin color. 😭😜
Why do people think gen z ONLY talking in slang💀
If you didn't notice, they were both talking slang xD Gen Z's is just a little newer so its probably more noticeable but Millennial Lily also was speaking slang the entire time. Also some of the 'Gen Z slang' used was also 'Millennial slang'
That's how they are - young
@@cinnow what?? Young people don't speak in all slang...

I’m actually happy that specifically brown girls ( Indian ) ARE being showed more on the media I just love it honestly 😭✨
Maitreyi is srilankan.
@KUNJAL NAGDA well obviously but she specified indian, which she is not. she’s a srilankan canadian.

The one good thing about a lot of GenZ is NOT pretending on social media, although it's understandable why you would do that

There's a reason why over sharing is almost as discouraged as deliberate fakery. 🤤🤯☠️ censorship is civilization.

Lilly speaking Tamil is whole another vibe... and her cursing in Tamil is 🔥🔥
Translation plz of what Lilly and the other girl said?
@@sonali9696 Lilly: 'Vaaya potthudi' which translates to 'Shut up'.
Maitreyi: 'Ariyay' (I think she actually said 'Adiye') which translates to 'Hey (girl!)'

Yey!!!!! Me being a genZ yet acting like a millennial
I think it's very possible for that to happen for older Gen-Zers born 1995-2001, some of us feel they're both.
Like I use both skull & laughing face emojis depending on whatever I feel like impulsively that day, I prefer looser jeans right now bc it's cooler spring weather, but I do feel I'm more into skinny from time to time in the cold winter. I like a lot of 2000-2005 music, get nostalgic about certain things or trends in that era, but hate their fashion that was mentioned, saw friends' older siblings into it. I've seen my female friends on IG post both happy selfies & sad selfies, we also show off photos of quinoa salad bowls but also hate the gentrification of avocado toast. Even I myself use the hashtag #blessed but "allergic" to #adulting or #momlife
I sort of knew Maitreyi myself irl b4 the show, even tho she is born Dec 28, 2001 on what she calls Maitreyi-mas, I do know there's things about her than r common with the older Gen-Zers such as loving Harry Potter, & use hashtags like #bossgirl or #blessed
I was born in 2002 I relate more to lily
Ahh, the perks of being an old soul
Ya'll are just never been on the internet yet... Also probs are 12 and still learning English, so it's gonna be lill hard to relate to this video target just at the American population of the world
@@Albert-xx5fy I was born in 2004 and I relate to Lilly and perhaps a sprinkle of gen z. I don't understand all the overused slang that they use...sorry.
As an elder Gen Z (2002), whoever said skinny jeans were out is straight LYING. They are a staple in a closet, same as leggings. They are the only things that make my legs look good, and they go with everything.
Yeah as a petite person, they’re never leaving my closet. :P I can’t do mom jeans! So unflattering! It’s like the bad part of 90’s fashion all over lol 🤦♀️😝😖 closest i can pull off is a high waisted straight leg ankle jean 👍😝
Nooo
What o didn’t know 2002 was considered an elder genz...
Old gen z people are 1996 lol
Yeah I was like what is she talking about.. Isnt it still what all teens and gen z wear to this day? Millennial here
This is so embarrassing, literally no-one from Gen Z talks like that. This feels like those cringy sketches from boomers about millennials
as a member of genz I hate to admit that we do talk like that
@@aryanprakash4716 bro no one talks like this

dude no millenial talks like that. The whole point was that they were overdoing the stereotypes.
yes 80% of us dont talk like tht...excpet for the emoji part i disagree with all and few genz use millennials emojis too
The 2000-2005 denim situation was so bad, I still have nightmares with low rise jeans and panties showing all over the place! 😂😂😂 (yes, this is the only possible emoji for laughing)
As an elder millennial working in a Pediatric clinic, this is EVERYTHING! 💯💯Also can I use this as a Continuing Education credit?💀💚😂

From the laughing emoji til Bye, Bye, Bye
If there's anything I got to learn from this video, it's that I'm so millennial, I should not even try to understand gen Z's language or fashion lol
I’m Gen Z and have no idea some of the emojis, I basically behave like millennial
Nooo you should try! ( so we can further confuse you for our fatal attempt at humor )
Lol don't try... I am gen Z and I find it very toxic
I think they key to understanding gen z fashion and language can be summerized with: weave meaning into a motley stream of the precursive sameness..Ignore quality..it's irrelevant without audacity. Truth can only be implied. If stated truth easily becomes subverted into lies by installing dubious context. Language must be encoded to protect the recipient from interference.
It's really not so different than the last 4 generations really. This is the short wave cyclic effect of runaway consumerism it's just recycling faster and leading to implosion and entropy. Never fear though..the bots will replace, study, protect, and nurture us. The future is chill af actually.
The tragedy is that the hoomans are so quick to turn on each other for the sake of clinging on to already obsolete ideals, and often toxic personal tastes.
