After reporter Josh (Dustin Milligan) questions Terry (Michael Greyeyes) on selling out his Indigenous culture to ""earn a dollar or two"", Terry engages in a powerful speech that leaves Josh speechless.
Synopsis: A small town in the Northeast and the Native American reservation it borders are turned upside down when local legend and town namesake, Nathan Rutherford (Ed Helms), fights the moving of a historical statue. "Rutherford Falls" is created and executive produced by Michael Schur, Ed Helms and Sierra Teller Ornelas, and stars Jana Schmieding, Michael Greyeyes, Jesse Leigh and Dustin Milligan. Mike Falbo, David Miner and Morgan Sackett also serve as executive producers.

I was liking the show. Then this speech occurred and now I’m loving it! It only occurred to me on a second watch that the store owner claiming it was “his property” is especially rich considering the entire town was Terry’s tribe’s land.
He deserves an Emmy nom for this performance!!

He's a hero and 💯.
Truly baffling that anyone could look at what Terry does throughout this season and call it villainous. Sure he's guarded, and cares a lot about money (due to growing up dirt-poor) and doesn't baby the white characters' egos, but that just enriches his story.
I have waited my whole life to hear a dialoge like this! BRAVO 👏🏾
A portrayal of a character long long overdue. I hope he gets all the plaudits he deserves for the acting, but the writing is also superb.

I loved this episode, made Terry the best character in the show. I want him to be the main character, not Ed Helms.
I would say Reagan is the main character, but I'd love to see her have more screentime with Terry.

Great show, and the writing is stellar. It's always great to see Michael Greyeyes, and I also enjoy seeing Bobby Wilson - whom I know from the 1491's. Also I love that Julia Jones is on this show. Reagen is funny too! Looking forward to the next season.

Paying to watch the show pays the company that's producing the show, WHICH PAYS THE ACTORS AND ACTRESSES.
Hopefully, 12-18 months after each episode has aired they'll make it free to watch on the weekend. If they did it might entice people to subscribe to see the latest episodes.

He didn't state that money was zero sum. He stated that power is zero sum, and that in current society, one of the most reliable ways to achieve power is through money, all of which is correct.
Power comes from people organizing. You can't achieve a "traditional" way of life by engaging in anti-traditional practices, like the exploitation of people and the Earth that is capitalism. You wanna make all the people dependent on the few who are able to make money in the unsustainable capitalist system? Decisions about land use, wealth distribution, etc. need to be made by the entire community. Ways of relating to each other need to be cooperative. Embracing capitalism means allowing money to reign supreme in your area. Commodify everything and produce for personal profit. Whoever has the most money makes the decisions. Individual enrichment rather than collective well-being. Only being able to do what makes money, not what is best for people. Ridiculous idea.

So a corporate capitalist TV series thanks regular capitalism is bad, but tribal capitalism is okay. So when is Peacock going to engage in tribal capitalism?
