@@lanuovaterra they sell a good 7 inch eink tablet in more price then your asking price for this device which is a phone first so it will be be around 300 upward but i do also want it cheap as i havent been able to buy one yet but again it should have good specs first and it should have lcd panel and an eink panel like LGs phone which has two lcd panels
There is no warm light , no colour screen at the back like Hisense A6L. But boox wins because of their optimised software for E-ink

If the phone support the LTE and the 4g network I would say it's good also if it support the color I would give them five stars.

I don't get two things. Why did they make shiny back? Who likes it? It indeed looks nice when wiped and clean but mobile phone is meant to be used with hands. Thus it will always look dirty(unless you wipe it off every time after using it).
Also it has no headphone jack? But why? Its not too expensive to add one. Also why not to have both 3.5mm jack and bluetooth for audio out together?.. Still it would be nice if they released it.
agreed on both. As for the 3.5mm jack... most likely a usb-c to 3.5 adapter will work. It works on their Nova boox pro that I have. I use the cheapest/passive adapter (about $2)
A physical refresh button would be nice - and warm light

"Hoping to release early 2020". Little did they know what 2020 had in store for the world.
I would be happy to replace my Galaxy S9 with this phone if it has a screen size of about 6.5 -7 inches, NFC for Google Pay or Samsung Pay, super quality front and back cameras. Even better is if the E-ink screen supports 64 or 128 shades of grey.
Dude talk about everything even the fact that this phone can call but "FORGET" the most important for an eink buyer show us the fastest mod in action how fluid your device really is

huge, but it will depend by the chipset they will chose so I didn't insist for getting an estimate time. but, yes, battery life is always incredibly long on this kind of devices

@@fabrizio-6172unfortunately, color EINK technology allows currently just about 100 DPI, which seems not really sufficient for small screens yet. So the monochromatic screen would be preferred by many because of its high contrast, sharpness and high resolution.
@@notebookitalia I would say not dramatically better, I have their Nova e-reader and it lives a day (+- half a day) if you use it as a tablet... because wi-fi consumes all the battery... so now it will be probably even less because of the 3/4G. But if one would use it as a reader with everything off well it could give you much more reading time
Hi.. i did not know where to ask this... so i am asking it here... Is onyx planing to launch an eink laptop? it will be the best device for writers... I know you had a plan in 2017, but stopped working on it... but it is certainly what writers need... Thanks
they just released Onyx Boox Max 3 which is a 13" ereader with android and a good Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, you can easily pair that ebook reader with a Bluetooth keyboard or a keyboard with even a stand for the tablet and make it a 2-in-1 device. at the moment this is the best option, as far as I know they don't have any plan for laptop at the moment, but this is just my opinion, Onyx has always some big surprise so I won't exclude any option
Great but it has to be at least 7 inches like the Xiaomi mi Max 3, and it should cost no more than 100 $USD.
I don't know why they are selling E readers like if they were very complex technology it should be the cheapest thing in the world
It is very critical could not to see UA-cam and photo without color.

Hisense showed their color eink phone at ces 2020, but the refresh rate is lower than grayscale eink.
check our video of the Hisense color eink phone, the image quality is a bit disappointing, the color for now is just some bonus feature but it doesn't improve the experience
Sorry to say this, but I really don't see anything to get excited about, it seems the device is geared toward readers, but the screen is far too small
