Yoo, just listening to this podcast made me realise how similar myself and Kyle are. Pretty similar stories too. I used to make UA-cam videos, and got big into behind the scenes shit of filming. Loved it. I always have had the confidence that I will be successful. In film school now and half of it is bullshit, students not knowing what they are doing with their lives and how they will be earning their own money. Teachers are also people who basically didn’t get successful in the film industry. I decided to take my own route, I set up my own media production company and now I’m working with some of the top nightclubs and djs in Dublin, Ireland. Anyone else who’s interested in media, a degree is a piece of paper, the portfolio and experience is what matters. Work for yourself and invest in yourself and you’ll be at the top. Yoo, just listening to this podcast made me realise how similar myself and Kyle are. Pretty similar stories too. I used to make UA-cam videos, and got big into behind the scenes shit of filming. Loved it. I always have had the confidence that I will be successful.
In film school now and half of it is bullshit, students not knowing what they are doing with their lives and how they will be earning their own money. Teachers are also people who basically didn’t get successful in the film industry.
I decided to take my own route, I set up my own media production company and now I’m working with some of the top nightclubs and djs in Dublin, Ireland.
Anyone else who’s interested in media, a degree is a piece of paper, the portfolio and experience is what matters. Work for yourself and invest in yourself and you’ll be at the top. You’re an inspiration Kyle💙🔥

10 minutes in and this shit is just filling me with inspiration man… im from toronto/oshawa area as well and always dreamed of being apart of the media industry somehow. Always pictured myself working somewhere on a movie/tv set. Got into drugs hardcore for a while there and lost alot of motivation. Anxiety/mental health got the best of me. But now im almost a year clean, 23 and thinking about my future… havent given up on my dreams quite yet its just awesome to see how him and nelk made this shit work however they had to.. so inspiring man.. just grinding to make something u know can happen.. happen.

He was always “that guy” in highschool that was always doin shit with the camera and what not and i knew he would make something happen. When he joined nelk i was like ok wow 😯 this is wild tbh. Anything is possible. This man grew up in the same city as me around the same people and made something happen within that world. I should be able to aswell. Yknow? Fuck man.
