Tbh I wish i had more diverse/inclusive estheticians where I live. The last time I went to one she suggested I BLEACH my SKIN for acne scars that went away w love care and dermalogica’s retinol. Jackie has helped me more w my skin than anyone else! I STAN a glowing queen

I wish I knew my African heritage. I’d just like to have a definitive culture to draw from and experience. It’s like I don’t like just being “Black” because it doesn’t feel good and I don’t consider myself as “African American” because that gives the impression that I am from Africa but also an American. Basically it feels fraudulent because Africa is a whole continent with different cultures that I cannot identify with. I’m saying all this just to say that I admire people with a definitive heritage like Jackie with Nigerian culture. That is all...
I get what you’re saying, but when you think about it African American is a culture too
nitta rogers I know it’s not for everybody, but I was going through much of the same thing as you so I went and took an ancestry test and I’m so glad that I did. It’s not 100% accurate and it can be a bit pricey but it gets you really close and can give you a pretty good idea about where you come from. I found out that most of my ancestry comes from Nigeria and Cameroon ❤️Best of luck to you!!
