Love this...and how they had two lead vocalists and both their falsettos are off the charts in this song and in Natural High. Most under-rated soul band ever.
I did also. We went to see them at McCormick place in Chicago, We had a blast, felt like the roof was coming down. Had a great time. I missed those days 🙂😀
Harry just tore that ish up. Charles could rip it too. These guys and the lead for Enchantment (Emanuel "E.J." Johnson) are some seriously underrated singers.
Beautiful these guys didn’t get the credit they deserved in the music industry. But they did in our communities because I love Natural High so much I played it until the record was too scratched up to play
You to was one of them. My Husband use to say ohhhhhh my goodness here you go again you will buy me another record since this one is mess up you can now have it
the big man is outstanding .......... the group ...amazing ......... this song and bloodstone ....... they are FOREVER !....thanks for the upload .. january 8 2023 ....
These dude were so badd and talented... I saw them many times in the 70s at the "Total Experience Club" on Crenshaw Blvd in LA back in the day and "The Whisky a Go Go" on Sunset Blvd... they remain one of my favorite RnB groups EVER!!!
Bloodstone what an amazing group with big hairy Williams on lead vocals the boy has some pipes that can reach heaven Bloodstone my favorite group Kansas City Boys
We first have to get a generation of Youngsters that understand the English Language then maybe we could get them to design and properly enunciate lyrics that are discernable and NOT 🚫🚭 derogatory.
These fellas even more powerfully charged in concert. The big guy could straight up blow in the high tenor to envy that of most 70’s soul lead singers. I recall thinking to myself, “Jeez, he’s pulling a Delfonics on this one”.
I kid you not, this group has got to be. The best group I’ve ever heard live on stage and man what a sound and groove and absolute musical talent and perfection .🎶👌🎶
The brutha can sing!!!!!!! I recently bought this album. I first heard it when it came out in 1973. It my last year of high school. And out of all the great songs, back stabbers, if you don’t know me by now, etc., this is THE song that stuck with me all of these years. Why was that? The performance of a little known group. Bloodstone. Thank you Bloodstone for getting me through the decades. It damn sure went quick!
I was 10 years old in 1973 when 1580 KDAY in Los Angeles would play it and I would almost break my neck running to the radio to listen. I can still remember how it made me feel
I still love the bloodstone regardless of what time it is! Maybe they can get to Sacramento CA they were here at Thunder Valley casino and hotel and they stole the show!! LOVE you bloodstone
I was seven years old when this record came out but I only heard it for the first time just a few weeks ago. I grew up in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, so all I heard on the radio was Philly soul! 😄 The local deejays in Philadelphia weren't going to bother with the Kansas City sound. Pity - Harry Williams is one of those incredible singers who can use his voice as an instrument. This song is pure joy.
*HARRY WILLIAMS... PERIOD. END OF STORY. GOAT SINGER!!! Rest in eternal peace to my one true love, the love of my entire lifetime, my twin soul and husband-in-Spirit Mark Bailey (4/26/1973 - 7/1/2003)... Death may have separated us physically but that's about IT. We're closer now than we've ever been ❤❤🔥🌹💯*
Being in quarantine let you catch up on all the oldies and the blood Stones was one of the best group around. Here it is October 17th 2020. Everyone please stay safe and please wear those masks!
I saw them in 1973. They were the opening act for the Chi-lites. Boodstone was so good and they blew me away. The audience was going crazy. I felt kind of sorry for the Chi-lites. They were fine looking and smooth, sounded good but it looked like they should have been the opening act.
A very underrated group but there's nothing like 👍 old school 🏫 still listening in 2024❤🎉🎉🎉
They're not underrated. That stupid comment being put out there all the time is overrated!
Love this...and how they had two lead vocalists and both their falsettos are off the charts in this song and in Natural High. Most under-rated soul band ever.
Indeed Big Harry and Charles Mccormick, there's a vid in this same session of Carles singing Natural High
Awesome Group!❤
Yes, Natural High was the bomb ❤
Finally. A live performance of this song from Bloodstone.
I feel you I seen them in person but never seen them on UA-cam or anywhere on the internet!

very. even that’s an understatement.
One of the best group's of our time there music is 1st class🤔
I was about to type the exact same thing
No they're not WE know.I still cry to this after 40 years
See, that's what you call blowin. I had the pleasure of seeing these brothers perform live about 40 years ago. They killed it.
I was just about to say the exact same thing!!!! I just wish I could give more the one thumbs up
So did I in Dayton OH and as you said; they killed it!
I know you will never forget it. I know they did
I seen them too at the Monterey fairgrounds they blew and they can still sing they are special Very special🔥🔥🔥
EJ IS DEFINITELY UNDERRATED! HE CAN SING IN A HIGH NOTE LIKE NO ONE'S BUSINESS! 💯
@@Positive_Indifference ,,,,yep.

He kills it live. No auto tune there!!
Where were you living at the time, Montana or Idaho?

The Great Harry Williams. 💯
Bloodstone what an amazing group with big hairy Williams on lead vocals the boy has some pipes that can reach heaven Bloodstone my favorite group Kansas City Boys
This song was good then and it's better now. Harry SANG that song like he meant it.
Right on!!!
Dude's got extraordinary vocal chords. Today's youngsters don't know this kind of music but if you play this in their presence, they'll take notice.
His name is: Harry Willams
Facts
Lol more like other worldly vocals from a different galaxy
We first have to get a generation of Youngsters that understand the English Language then maybe we could get them to design and properly enunciate lyrics that are discernable and NOT 🚫🚭 derogatory.
I just saw him in concert and My Mind was blown!!! He Still Sounds The Same!!! Even though he’s in a wheelchair he put on one damn good performance
This is not only how you sang but the delivery of this song is outstanding.
This group is priceless...Im still loving the soul from old school..nothing like it. WOW
Dam Harry murdered it!!💯💯💯
Bloodstone, there was no one better at that time!🔥🔥🔥💯
... that boy blows (I found raindrops.....)
I count raindrops...
Where is their Unsung
Old skool never go away ❤❤❤
One of the greatest bands of the 70’s. Great musicians and singers . They inspired me as a singer
IMO One of the greatest bands of all time
These fellas even more powerfully charged in concert. The big guy could straight up blow in the high tenor to envy that of most 70’s soul lead singers. I recall thinking to myself, “Jeez, he’s pulling a Delfonics on this one”.
This will always remind me of my late husband. He loved Bloodstone because they said things he wanted to.

A song that will lost for ever😊
It will last it won't get lost i assure you.
such talent. I can only hope that they were sufficiently compensated for their talent.
you cats sound freakn awesome nice work i love the track
You know I’m flop hat. DOWN
Pure Talent, Nothing More, Nothing Less. 👍 👍 👍
I now count TWO vocal Falsetto powerhouse singers in this group!
Can someone drop me off in the decades of the 60's and 70's I'm stuck in a time warp and don't want to be rescued... autotune is not allowed !
Love these guys, play them almost every Sunday while doing chores. Don't have this kind of music anymore, so thankful to have experienced it.h
Like this song ❤️❤️❤️❤️
I saw them in 1973. They were the opening act for the Chi-lites. Boodstone was so good and they blew me away. The audience was going crazy. I felt kind of sorry for the Chi-lites. They were fine looking and smooth, sounded good but it looked like they should have been the opening act.
