Rents are too high why don't you buy yourself an Akiya house, even people from other countries coming to Japan to buy them, and they rent them out. You can use one room and let other rooms rental and that way you can even pay to bank or save up good amount.
@@cokdillihayat-multilinguallifeRent being super high also makes it hard to save for a house though. Not sure what the market is in Japan, but in Canada it's a double edged sword of high rents, and pricey housing. I guess if you find a mini home or tiny house lot that would be the best option, unless you've got good money or cheap rent.
@@oren1305 actually Akiya houses are very cheap mostly in good condition because population is declining in Japan they sell these houses in very good price. Mostly in rural areas but also you can find them near big cities some are very close to the subway systems that's why I asked him why he doesn't buy an Akiya house in good condition. Lots of people around the world from America Europe even Canada they buy Akiya houses in Japan because the house prices are too high there as you said and they even rent those houses because they can buy as much as they can there is not any rule against it. They renovate a little bit and get lots of rent out of those houses.
I've watched all of your videos, and this is one of the best micro apartments you've shown us. There is so much to like here: the way you don't see into the whole apartment from the entrance, that little laundry room, the square shape of the main part of the apartment, the windows on two sides, the clear glass in the windows on one side, the dish drying rack over the sink, the doors on the closet, the reasonable price, and the great location. I would definitely put the desk by the window--that would be a cheery place to work. Don't think I'd go for a loft bed, though. Instead, I might get a futon or possibly one of those little fold-out chairs that make into a bed (if I could find one that was comfortable). Thanks for filming this one for us us!
if i wanted to live in a micro apartment, i think this is the ideal layout for me. i love all the built in storage and the separate laundry room is nice even though it's really small. i think the loft bed with a desk is a really great idea.
Merhaba Usui, yorum yazmak için geç kaldım ama, dairenin dış alanı oldukça sakin ve temiz görünüyor, güven veriyor insana❤dairenin içini çok beğendim orada olsaydım oturmak istediğim bir daire olurdu, çamaşır odası olması çok güzel, ben oturma odasına kanepe alırdım, yatarken açıp yatılabilen kanepelerden, yatma dışında kanepe odaya dinlenme odası havası verirdi diye düşünüyorum bu arada yemek tanıtım anlarını ben de özledim knd iyi bak🌼🌼🌼
This is one of the best! I would remove closet doors/put desk in closet - there will still be a lot of storage, move head of bed on other side so you can project on big wall and watch from bed, hanging clothes can go over washing machine, add a narrow bookshelf under the window next to the fridge.
That's a wonderful idea. I thought of swapping the closet doors for sliding ones. I would put the desk next to the fridge and a horizontal Murphy bed next to the closet, which has built-in seating. Or, one with a built-in table, then I'd put a small sofa next to the fridge. I love this flat Usui San! Thanks for showing it.
Usui-San, this is a nice apartment with a lot of natural light and it looks like it is on a quiet street. The only thing I noticed was that you would have to get a very tall curtain in order to cover up that square window on the bottom so no one could see in. It looks fresh and appealing. Please continue to bring us more from your studies of Micro Apartment life. I do miss seeing where you went for lunch though!
Hi!!! It is a very nice micro apartment. One can think of renting it. But I look forward to seeing all others apartments in your long study to make my decision… Let’s see next… 🚶😃
This one is arranged super nice! I like that there’s a separation between the kitchen nook and that the laundry room is on the way to the bathroom. Lots of natural light, all the different ventilation spots… this is a top-notch micro apartment and it’s not horrifically expensive either. If I was single and lived in Tokyo, I would totally pick this micro apartment. Best one yet!
Although it's compact, it's certainly doable if you don't have a lot of stuff! Looks like a quiet area and well placed, also you can get out easily if there is a fire... I like it 😺
Another my favorite one. Plenty of sunlight, plenty of windows and no nees to climb the ladder. Layout is good. Everything is perfect for this room.❤❤❤
Love the shoe storage, launderette, floor storage. Put a gate leg table/ shelf with chair by the kitchen under the window, bed by the window, pop-up TV in a table between bed and window, and a chaise lounge along the windowless wall. This could be rather cozy, actually.
I like this one a lot! The layout is very practical, and the rent was much cheaper than expected. If I had this apartment I would have a small loveseat for lounging, a lap desk for computer time and a futon that I would store in the closet. The street-facing windows would make me feel on display, so I would need some good curtains too.
I like it and the price is right. The toilet paper can be stored above the washer/drier, by adding shelves and it would be right next to the bathroom for grabs. A Murphy bed will be good for this space. During the day turns into a desk and at night turns into a bed. Looking forward to our next video. 🍀
This is my absolute favorite that you have shown us. It would not be great to live on first floor, right by the building entry, but I really think the unit overall would be very livable. New construction, good design, reasonable dimensions, and it is cheaper than I expected the rent to be
This is such a great micro-apartment, Usui-San! Like you and others have already stated, lots of natural light, making it so spacious and open 🙂! Also, the mini-laundry room is perfect, it doesn't take up any living floor space and you actually have the laundry facility inside your apartment which is always a big plus! Very cute, the toilet's tank actually doubles as a toilet paper shelf LOL! All-in-all, one of the top micro-apartments you have shared on your channel - just sharp and well-designed, no crazy wall angles or vaulted ceilings/wasted space. Thank you again for sharing your adventures, looking very much forward to your next video 😀!!
One of the best to date. Terrific amount of flexibility in the main living room to actually have a folding bed or pull out loveseat/bed, a chair, table/desk, and lamps. One could actually entertain someone here from time to time. Not wild about it being on the ground floor but otherwise, a little gem. I always wonder why there are so few shelves or cupboards on the walls of these tiny units. It seems such a shame to waste all that upper wall space when the overall footprint is so small.
I love the light in this apartment, white walls for brightness with natural wood tones give a warmth and cheerful feeling to this space. There’s good storage in the entry and a nice kitchenette. Both the laundry room and the bathroom are tight, but at least there’s laundry in the apartment. And toilet paper storage! I like the loft bed/desk idea, it seems to give access to the window and closet. Overall, I think this is good value for the apartment. Thank you for sharing!
Hi! One of the bests in my opinion. Thank's for sharing! One request, please: could you take your viewers to eat with you, as you used to do? Japanese cuisine it's very insteresting and tastes amazingly! Best wishes!
This one is great - even has reachable toilet paper storage! Noticed that this has a lot of the features you like. New build, you say? Maybe architects have been watching your channel!
I really like this apartement! The light, and that the free floor area is almost squarish, makes it easier to place furniture. Also like the bath and washer area. Kitchen could be bigger, but it's acceptable. I think the washing room is clever if you have friends or a partner over - the extra door before the bathroom gives more privacy. I think I could live in such an apartement👍
Alternatively put the fridge on top of the washing machine and get two noisy items out of the living room. And create space! Put Desk where you have the fridge, a fold up bed/sofa near the closet. Leave space to get that light in. Done!
A micro with a closet. That's not common but pretty useful. It's a livable little space, if a little high on the price side. I'd probably abandon the loft bed and just use a small desk by the closet. Sleep is important!
I'm sorry for the lack of explanation.🙏 In Japanese apartments, hot water is available in the bath, shower, kitchen, and washroom. The washing machine uses cold water.
I believe a short bed might fit directly in front of the closet. Assuming its a 72 inch/1.83 meter bed. That leaves 14.5 inches for the doors to open if the measurement is accurate. Then the little nook could be a mini night stand area. Put the desk beside the fridge, it can double as food prep space. The laundry room is efficient!
It is excellent, liveable, complete, with a good layout. I like the separate laundry room, you can put toilet paper in the floor space. I insist with the idea of a sofa bed, it also allows you to keep the table and chair without closing the window wall. Nice neighbourhood.
I am curious when this apartment was built. Looks pretty modern, however the layout of the bathroom and the old-style buttons on the kitchenette make me think. I also noticed that you can dry your laundry outside, which is very useful! As for the furnishings, I would place one of those low desks by the window, sleep on a futon which I can fold during the day, and use a small fridge for extra minimalism.😅Who knows, maybe I could also fit a narrow book shelf and a plant in there! All in all, I'm finding this apartment to be very livable! Thank you for this channel, it is good for my imagination!
Dear friend Usui-san, the apartment is nice and has plenty of storage space in the cupboards. The underfloor storage in the washroom can be used for toilet paper. You have also furnished the apartment well and the rent is reasonable. A very good presentation from you.
Livable space with a lot of light. Couple of possibilities for arranging things. Think I would get some sort of small rolling counter just to get some prep space and storage. Not a bad space.
Indeed funny, the understorage in the laundry room. Also this cabinet takes away space. Also funny that toilet paper storage is that important, lol. With these micros you must use the hight, shelves on walls, foldable furniture like pull out sofa beds, desk etc. The bathroom is not bad. The windows can be covered with removable foil that is semi transparent, light in, but no view into the apt. Curtains are not my first choice. I would not want to be so exposed though on the street level. First floor seems to be safer. Thanks for continuing the micro videos, I like the way you present the apartments.
A nice apartment for a reasonable price and the best part is there are no rickety loft ladder or scary emergency escape ladder. If you didn't need a big fridge, you could have a small/ fridge in the larger cupboard in the kitchen. Their would then be space for a multiple use storage unit. Thank you for sharing this one Usui. I give it 8/10.
Hi Usui, I have to say, I like it! I was decorating as you were showing it. It is cute. The only thing storage in the floor is that I am not sure about that. however, since it was in the laundry area and bathroom, I would put the laundry products in it, maybe cleaning products and maybe the toilet tissue. Does any of the windows have screens? So, you can open it and not have bugs fly in. Yep! I really like it.
A nice apartment for one Has a good bathroom and laundry room You would have to have curtains being on first floor and able to look into windows Furniture as you showed with a loft bed would work Good price of apartment too You and Spidey take care See you on next video ❤❤❤❤❤
No ladder need for emergency escape! Here in North America we can buy a plastic film to put on our windows to make them look "frosted", then you only need curtains for when it's dark outside. I like this one. It always surprises me that in these tiny apartment they don't install more shelves. One can never have too much storage space! Could a mini fridge fit in the kitchen cabinet? If so, then that would leave more space for funiture.
Hello Usui-san! Thank you for continuing your channel. Even though you aren't looking for a micro apartment these days, I still enjoy watching your videos. This latest little apartment, though small, is very good one. 1. The entrance is very well appointed, with a roomy shoe/extra storage unit. 2. This little room is very bright and airy. 3. The laundry room, though small, has an underfoot storage area, for possibly placing extra fabric detergent or conditioner. Perhaps even for placing extra toilet paper in. 4. The bathroom, though small, is very well appointed! The flattened part of the lavatory, could indeed be used to stack a few a few toilet rolls on. Or above the toilet, there could be room for a small shelving unit for the aforementioned purpose. 5. The neighbourhood appears to be a rather fine and quiet place to live, with excellent rail connections and local amenities. Looking forward to your next video!
@@usui503 Or you could put a small storage unit ABOVE the laundry machine! Ans storage other cleaning/ exra tp in the floor storage. Thank you for replying!
I like this micro apartment. The bathroom/toilet room is a bit smaller than I would prefer, but the living area has some potential. I would consider a futon to save space. No ladder and loft is much appreciated!
I really like this and the location is great. I would put a tall, thin table on the wall opposite the wall without windows. I would place a futon or chair bed against that. Under the table could be storage for a suitcase and I would place lots of plants on the table, which could also act as a bedside table. I would use the wall without windows as a TV/video screen.
Nice new apartment. I do like it. Odd floor storage and I agree with others that curtains could be difficult for privacy. A loft bed would be the best choice I think too.
I like it. A window in the bathroom is great. But also the wardrobe. You would have no place for cooking but a board on the sink in the kitchenette would do. 😅
i would put a narrow shelve near the window for some plants and then a bed right against it.This would take use of the space that would be left otherwise empty between bed and window. Desk would go between bed and fridge. I'd get a movable tv with stand and store it on the wall between clothing cabinet and bed.
I really like this micro apt, I would have preferred on the second floor, so that no passerby and cars just outside the window. Otherwise it has everything, cozy and affordable. If ever Usui san decides to move, this could be an option. Thanks for sharing. And please continue to explore micro/mini apt., it is the best option in such a big city. By the way, I was there end of May and took the chance to go checking Ghibli museum and the Gundam robot...45 year anniversary, it brought memories!
I strongly recommend using a convertible sofa with a pullout bed. _Using the floor plan at __8:50__ as a reference point_ , you can place the refrigerator next to the kitchenette. On the same side of the wall, you can put a convertible sofa with a pullout bed. Looking at the floor plan, that side of the wall is wide enough to fit both a refrigerator and a 63 inches wide sofa. During the day, the sofa won't take up much space. At night, when you pull the bed out, it will measure about 80.3 inches -- well within the width of the room. You now have the wall by the closet and the adjacent wall free. You can put your entertainment system and even a small bookshelf by the wall next to the closet. That wall has no window, making it the perfect place to place your TV and bookshelf. Lastly, you can put a computer desk by the wall on the left. The computer desk won't block the window and the inflow of natural light. Imagine the layout described above - you don't have to compromise your comfort and settle with a loft bed. I _hate_ the American style toilet in this apartment. And it is also not separated from the bathroom room. Thanks for sharing!
Good light in the apartment, I have two pairs of shoes, so the storage is good. Workable kitchenette, laundry closet (cute), underfloor storage is handy even if it's in a weird location, sink in the bathroom (good), shower, window, you'd have to rig up something for toilet paper storage. Sink hangs over the tub so that's not good. I prefer windows that open in an apartment. It has an air conditioner, but what about a heater? Closet's good. Desk and a folding bed could work a loft bed and desk. Love looking at micro apartments. Thank you, Usui. :)
This is a pretty good micro apartment. I like the laundry area, under floor storage, bathroom with window, closet space and natural light. The main turn off for me is the location. I’m worried that I would hear everyone as they entered and exited the building . . . Talking or yelling, perhaps the door slamming, etc.
Also dieses Apartment gefällt mir sehr gut. 🥰👍Auch das die Waschmaschine nicht direkt im Raum steht, sondern gesondert.👍 Und dafür das es neu ist, ist der Preis eigentlich akzeptabel. 😊 Ich könnte mir vorstellen dort zu wohnen :)
When I saw the big window into the main room, I was very thankful that the bathroom did not have a glass door!! The storage space in the laundry room is interesting. At first I thought that would be a good place to put in laundry soap. But then it occurs to me that you have to exit the room in order to open the door to the storage space. So that would be inconvenient.
Love all of the windows, especially in the shower area. But in watching all of your videos, I definitely like the shower/bath separated from the toilet as in most of the apartments. This bath/toilet room is really small.
Lots of storage with closet and below floor thingy. Maybe add storage over the washing machine as the toilet roll could get damp in the bathroom? Reasonable rent too.. Looks like a winner to me
Love this one. Have well distributed footage. A furniture murphy bed (Amazon), a folding desk and a recliner for small spaces are good alternatives for this place. 👍🏻👍🏻
I never thought I was claustrophobic until I saw some of these ridiculous micro-apartments! These would not fit many over 5'3"/160cm tall and 2'/61cm wide! 😂 Murphy beds and metamorphic furniture would be great in these spaces.
Todo perfecto para un mini👌la zona tambien y los materiales del mini son de buena caladad.¿usui en Japón teneis sofas cama?gracias como sienpre por el video 🇪🇦❤🇯🇵✨
I’m surprised the kitchenettes aren’t as well set up as a motor home or caravan. Or even a yacht! . There are induction stoves that can be unplugged and stored to increase bench space, and covers for sinks that also create bench space. Some smarter design thinking is needed in these tiny spaces.

Livable space with a lot of light. Couple of possibilities for arranging things. Think I would get some sort of small rolling counter just to get some prep space and storage. Not a bad space.
I like the natural light, the shoe closet, laundry room and kitchenette. Are you sure you don’t want to move? 😂
I really liked this one 👍🏻😊
Small, but the arrangement of the rooms allows you to somehow arrange them functionally... :)
A nice apartment for one
Has a good bathroom and laundry room
You would have to have curtains being on first floor and able to look into windows
Furniture as you showed with a loft bed would work
Good price of apartment too
You and Spidey take care
See you on next video
❤❤❤❤❤
Thank ypu for the heart ❤️
Thanks for your comment!🥰
You're right, I can store laundry detergent and conditioner in the underfloor storage!🧴
@@usui503 Or you could put a small storage unit ABOVE the laundry machine! Ans storage other cleaning/ exra tp in the floor storage. Thank you for replying!
Quite a nice place and I like that it has a door to the laundry room. That'll reduced noise from the washing machine.
Ich mag dieses Micro Apartment! Es ist schön hell !
🤩 🌞 🎉
I could almost live in this one, though I wouldn't want the elevated bed.
This is tte nicest micro apartment I've ever seen, and extremely reasonable rent! Nice layout. Thank you for your videos!
I like this micro apartment. The bathroom/toilet room is a bit smaller than I would prefer, but the living area has some potential. I would consider a futon to save space. No ladder and loft is much appreciated!
Sold! 😅 I wish I could move to Japan and rent this one. It has everything I want, including a reasonable price! ❤
Guess what! I like it 😂 there is a place for everything and how often do you find a closet? Its a decent micro apt 😊😊😊
This place is perfect! ❤
This is one of the best apartments you have seen. With the loft bed as you set it out, it would make a lovely home. Very impressed.
Thank you for your nice comment!🥰
Thanks for your comment!🥰
I went to the Ghibli Museum when I was a child. It is a very beautiful museum. I still remember the little cinema.
I would take the closet doors off and put a small bed in there, overall i like it!
I live in much larger house and frankly the top of the toilet is my toilet paper storage area too. This apt looks nice and convenient
Great one! I would use under the floor storage for cleaning supplies. Love tp storage. Awesome!
This is a pretty good micro apartment. I like the laundry area, under floor storage, bathroom with window, closet space and natural light. The main turn off for me is the location. I’m worried that I would hear everyone as they entered and exited the building . . . Talking or yelling, perhaps the door slamming, etc.
I do like this one very much, it's set up wisely and the bathroom has toilet paper storage. I give this one a 9 out of 10. 😊
That's a high score!🥳
Well... I'll remove closet doors rest it at unused corner, we will have more space for a bed.
🤯
Dokładnie tak też pomyślałam. Pozdrawiam z Polski 🇵🇱
Lots of storage with closet and below floor thingy. Maybe add storage over the washing machine as the toilet roll could get damp in the bathroom? Reasonable rent too.. Looks like a winner to me
Your videos are so interesting and relaxing to watch! Thank you for the content!
Love this one. Have well distributed footage. A furniture murphy bed (Amazon), a folding desk and a recliner for small spaces are good alternatives for this place. 👍🏻👍🏻
Looks very comfortable. I like this one 👍
Jaram się mikro apartamentami i w ogóle minimalizmem, jesteś moją inspiracją 🥰
開始時看到廚房用的是瓦斯爐心動了,畢竟電費比較貴。浴室的浴缸也很加分,只可惜有點稍小一間。不過地點和價錢算合理了啦😊
I never thought I was claustrophobic until I saw some of these ridiculous micro-apartments! These would not fit many over 5'3"/160cm tall and 2'/61cm wide! 😂 Murphy beds and metamorphic furniture would be great in these spaces.
2nd setting would be my pick
it has really good vibes
Thanks for your comment!🥰✨
I’m surprised the kitchenettes aren’t as well set up as a motor home or caravan. Or even a yacht! . There are induction stoves that can be unplugged and stored to increase bench space, and covers for sinks that also create bench space. Some smarter design thinking is needed in these tiny spaces.
