Nice job to be on! Have u used much of the crown fast flow satin?i been using it on and off for a bit in certain situations. Satin seems quite nice. Not sure how hard wearing it is tho. Time well tell I suppose. Can’t bring myself to use water based on something like a handrail yet tho. Are you using water based etc on handrails?i find no matter what water based paint I use they go soft with hand grease after about a year or two. Almost like chewing gum. I test them out in my own house 😂have recently done my own handrail in crown fastflow satin and a coat of poly vine water based varnish over the top to see if that stops it softening over time. I find even on the side of doors where customers don’t use the handle the grease from their hands can soften the paint after a year or so.
@@johnpgray I know what u mean mate I find it more like an eggshell. In rooms with no light it looks very flat. They do an eggshell too and apparently it’s very flat
Hi Stuart the Johnstone’s aqua guard satin is excellent lovely to work with & tough smooth finish expensive but worth it Johnstone’s have nailed this paint give it agitlet me no what you think.👍
swissanthony hi Anthony every paper hanger is different I’ve learned myself over the years when your hanging quality wallpaper take your time with speed you can’t do a quality job & most costumers want quality especially if there paying a lot of money for wallpaper.
Lovely job as always Ger, little question for you, Do you not find when cross line the wall first that once paste hits it especially on a paste the wall paper that the lining paper wets and lifts ? Thanks
donna gammell hi Donna your lining paper should never lift when the paste touches it you should always seal your wall before applying lining paper & always put plenty of paste on your lining paper I also wouldn’t recommend a ready mixed adhesive on lining paper as it drys to quick when it’s applied I recommend solvite.
As always great job keep it up ...👍
