I'm always delighted when I learn something new about the this game. Tier 2 and 3 bonuses for solo heroes did not know exactly. Felt it instinctually, but who cares ~ now I know the exact maths. DH or Warden solo are the only times this nice feature gets used. But to be fair that's more often than not when vs HU.
Nice wrap, some things I didn't know yet in there, for example that an Acient Protector gives you 85 XP, that's huge :O My favorite hero combo is undead beef supreme: 'Crypt Lord, Death Knight, Pit Lord' And for Orc: 'Fire Lord, TC' :D
Now I'm sad that nobody has ever mentioned Grubby's destiny to "make other people create meaningful contemporary art involving decorated fruits on top of cars" since this video!
One of my favorite hero combinations is the Warden(Shadowstrike/Blink) + a Firelord(Soul Burn/Incinerate)... It's good for taking opposing heroes out of the fight. As your Warden is about to trade unit target abilities with the opposing hero(like say mana burn), you can Soul Burn them to negate the Manaburn and reduce their right click damage which totally removes their presence from the fight. The Warden can just blink out if she doesn't want to get a manaburn, or she can always just tank one if she has enough mana and if the next Shadow Strike is lethal. and just...Rinse and repeat. I believe Firelord is the best secondary hero to combine with Warden for his Soul Burn ability for its damage, damage reduction, and most importantly silence. Incinerate can also be good in combination with Warden as the game progresses. I just think Firelord is better than Naga at protecting Warden in particular...DH no, Naga is better for DH, but if Warden is the first hero, I think that yes, Firelord provides better protection with Soul Burn as it is both silences and reduces dmg. Soul Burn does dmg too, but it's not really all that much if you cast it on heroes as the duration is cut in half on enemy heroes. It's best to use on enemy heroes, but it can of course be really good on regular units as it does do quite a bit of damage over time, especially in combination with shadow strike, the 2 abilities cast together on the same unit will most likely kill anything. I think both together at rank 3 each will do around 800 total dmg. Yeah Warden's is 450 and Firelord's is 340, so 790 damage over time. Anyways, if you spam Rank 3 Soul Burn on their main hero, they'll only be active 25% of the time...kind of similar to cyclone(minus to surround), cept you can still focus fire and kill them while they're disabled. Another hero combination I enjoy quite a bit is a Pitlord(Cleave/Howl of terror) + Lich. Banshee's curse + Howl of Terror + Frost Armor work really well in combination with each other...but Lich's Frost Nova is massive when both the Pitlord and Lich with Unholy Frenzy start to right click the slowed army. This hero combination focuses more on army containment and destruction, rather than the more preferred UD strategy of single target burst with DK/Lich. DK third is a possibility, but I don't think it's totally necessary...the main strategy behind this hero combination is to max Cleave asap to combine with unholy frenzy. The final hero combination I'll talk about for now is Blood Mage(3Flamestrike/1Banish/1Siphon Mana) + Tinker(Cluster Rockets/Engineering). The beautiful thing about using this combo is being able to use the sorceress's invisibility on both heroes to engage with the aoe combo at will. I think the main trick behind it is to shift click the Blood Mages Banish/Siphon Mana while he is channeling Flamestrike, then Tinker can cast Cluster Rockets as to make sure not a single straggler can get away. The Bloodmage can Banish multiple targets at once to make sure they don't go anywhere, but it's not necessarily instant. However, the Tinker's Cluster Rockets is very unique in that it is the only basic ability in the game that can stun in an AoE from a range which is the main reason I think it's good. MK's Thunderclap is always good, however, I personally think Cluster Rockets is a better ability to combine with Flamestrike's massive aoe damage. It's simply more reliable. Oh btw, AM third is fine ofc. AM is always good, first, second, or third hero, it doesn't matter, he's probably one of, if not the best hero in the game.
This is a very nice video and you explained 90% of everything I wanted to know about XP. Can you tell us the following: 1. Do you gain XP, when you kill a hero with Ankh where it revives? 2. How is it with Tauren Chieftain - Do you get XP when you kill it and it gets revived directly afterwards? I always wanted to know these two things and I was always too lame to look them up by myself :D
A hero that dies and reincarnates gives no exp, whether the reincarnation happens from TC Ultimate or from Ankh. You need to kill them again (for real this time) to get exp.
Triple hero is actually quite popular for Orc these days. But no, the third hero doesn't get any bonus experience. He'll need just as much XP to level up as his older siblings did.
Hey! Great video, I learnt that AP gives way too much xp when killed during construction... this need to be patched :D My fav solo hero rush T3 is with Panda first vs Human. I used to do it long time ago and seeing your vid give me some ideas for new tactics! Cheers

Maybe discuss tactics that noobs think work good, but are actually terrible?
items
micro battles or item synergy + consumables.

Cool guide, I usually don't make 3 heroes as orc but I think the third hero gets bonus exp? I don't think you covered this in the guide.

Amazingggg! please do more of these
