I tried your recipe but without waffle maker. I made it on a pan and it looked like pancake but it tasted superb I am just 11 and I love cooking and my family liked it and even skipped vanilla essence instant I topped it with vanilla ice cream

Yeah its a typo mistake. Ideally baking poweder should be doubled as baking soda. So for this, you should take 1 tsp baking powder and ½ tsp backing soda. 🙂
