'Cheese' is now the unofficial code word for any time Bandai:
1) Rushes an incomplete kit into production;
2) Reuses an old kit as the base for a new kit without updating it (ie: Tristan, HG Jegan);
3) Just plain releases an arse kit.
You know, like AH used 'bum cheese' in their Mastermind videos.
Make it official code i say.. every time bandai make a crap kit, called it a Cheese Grade. A grade not worthy at all...

To be fair, the Blastmaster is the only Jegan I have. That doesn't mean I wouldn't have preferred them to give it the Revive or GEP treatment first, and a peg connection would have easily been more solid for the satellite canons. I just want to ask the engineering and design departments 'why?!'

I just finished watching "BEST GUNDAM GUNPLA KITS OF 2021" and jumped right into this.
OMG, we need this every year!

BTW, I built Rinko last year and did a review; it was bad but not THAT bad imo. lol
You know what really hurts me the most? Is that Bandai was able to improve upon Sinanju's articulation (and quality) with the Stein Narrative but didn't even bother with improving their main protagonist suit's HG Unicorn... I mean this was the damn perfect opportunity to do in with the revive version... It felt like they have no respect for the fans of the Unicorn design... and it makes me really sad.... (I understand that we have the RG Unicorn but HG's a quite cheaper and a little bit more playable)

The Unicorn was my first kit too. Customized it, then just had to buy another so I could replace the parts that kept breaking.

In my opinon at least, the 00 Diver is actually pretty good, Its articulation is really good, the build was okay and it holds up okay (With help from a little super glue)
Watch Spicy Build's GM III vid where he turned that Cheesemaster into a GM III, it could seriously be the best Gunpla review I've seen, its Effin hilarious

Ive been watching your videos for a long time and because of you I've decided to finally order my first gunpla. I picked the HG gundam kiramaris. Hopefully I spelled it right but I just wanted to say thank you.
So the 1/144th Destroy mode Unicorn was my first kit too but that was all the way back in 2013. I took a very long break and didn't get another Gunpla until November of last year, what was so bad about the HG Destroy mode Unicorn?

yeah, i just went and bought some gold plated color spray paint, sprayed some into a tray and used a paint brush (toss away) to deal with gold plated nub parts for my Gundam 1/100 Gundam Astray Gold Frame Amatsu. i was actually thinking od getting a HG 144 destry unicorn (bright green variant) on my trip to Gundam Base last year. didnt get it due to luggage space and real estate back at home to store it. still considering it to this day.
You could call the phenex gold coating, Gundam phenex DM gold coating

Just as a note the base HGUC GMIII is a nice solid kit. If you like the design get that one (assuming you don't paint or modify. Or if you like the orange scheme get the BD version and just build the base since it got all the parts)

I actually bought and built the gold plated unicorn phenex and I’m only truly disappointed in it’s immobility and lack of complexity, it’s all just panels. I bought it thinking it was going to be like my RG Celestial Being 000 because I’m newish to gundam and didn’t know about all the varients. Do you maybe have a video for people new to gundam collecting, stuff highlighting “must haves” and alike?

xD lol best for laughs ever! The Phenex gold-coating part makes me think back of Super-Mode God/Master Gundam, similar nubs problem.
And thank goodness they corrected design and scale of the Gundam Girls like Diver Nami etc, rather than those wrong-scaling, big old Build-fighter Girls that needs to be scrapped for good. ( thank god Shia Kijima-Portent is saved from being created as the old HG-girl kit abomination lol )
The Jegan Bowel Movement was my USA Gundam kit last month. I built the chest and head, and just stopped. ITs awful, and theres juuuust enough missing base parts that producing a regular Jegan is impossible.
In HGBF's defense however- they also had some truly GREAT kits this year as well. The Guard frame is superb, and has such potential. The EZ-SR has an amazing number of extra parts, and can almost make a regular EZ-8.
The one who dislike the video is the one who liked the no.1 worst 😂

i am one of the Fumina cult but in all honesty, the kit suck. But Nami Divers on the other hand oh damn, that's hot! but still cannot beat the megami device and frame arm girls line.

I'm a little surprised to see so many Build Divers kits on here. I've actually been working on building a lot of them lately, and so far, I actually like the series. Granted, I haven't picked up Ogre GN-X, GM-3 Beam Master, or Jegan Blast Master yet, but what I have built so far (Shining Break, Momokapool, 00 Diver Ace, GBN Base Gundam, and Mobile Doll Sarah, with Leo NPD, RX-Zeromaru, 00 Sky, GBN Guard Frame, and Astray No-Name waiting in line), I actually like them. But then, I actually liked the anime too. It's different from the space politics the Gundam series is known for, a lot cheesier and more light-hearted, but to me, a little cheese now and then is okay. *looks at Beam Master* Hmmm...

i did modify the design by only having the rifle equiped the rest of the weaponry and those hip things is stored for future use in custom gunpla.
Still waiting for a build variant of the gn-x that acts like the gm gm or guard frame and is called Gn-Gn

About Phenex Destroy Mode Narrative Ver Gold Coated ver, wow, that's too freaking long. And also the disadvantage is lack of beam saber effects for either Beam Saber or Beam Tonfa, I prefer to wait the RG version of that or I buy it just for the Unicorn Gundam spare part.

You should go for it! I've built most of the hg ibo kits and I've gotta say I enjoyed them! I love the Barbatos line of kits and the hg grimgerde! I'm trying to get my hands on the hg flauros!! Loved it in the anime and loved the pilot too! My poor shino! :( but again you should go for it!! XD
