      Jessica Lim Haha maybe just a Little I’m just tired of people asking the most stupid things when I have already put all the work in to make it as easy and quick for them as possible to find out what they need to know. I mean it’s all in the description, all episodes are in the captions so they’ll know which shot is in which episode. They shouldn’t need to ask. Simply look!
      Also I’m not exactly sure why a google search ever occurred to anyone? Honestly if I like something I will look in the description first, granted some are empty. 🤷🏻‍♀️ But still it’s worth a look either way. Most especially with songs as UA-cam copyrights most regardless of whether it’s in the description or not. Sorry for venting, I’m just so tired of it! 😅

      because the tenacity of Emily Dickinson's visionary mind will always be much more powerful in inspiring hope to oppressed people than a simple piece of cloth ever could. all over the world women are valued for their appearances or just a body and talked about in this way so frequently yet infrequently about their intelligence and feelings. not everyone wants to be a part of that narrative once they realize this. she's being abused for being a woman. she's asking for death. yet she keeps going despite the injustices. that's beyond any wardrobe and shows that maybe talking about only one woman's wardrobe and not the entire cast's, which would also include men's appearances and not just women, might be something to think about.

    To be honest, this is so underrated because of how amazing this video is. Even though I haven't watched the film yet but I can see how powerful and dominant it is presented. Every emotion is from the heart, that's why I adore this movie. I love how it seems that the character is very weak or submissive. But if you watch deeply you can see that the character is very indomitable. Words are more powerful than actions. This is my conflict and I know many people have different arguments. Overall the actress played the character very well.

    I’m so happy that we are two months away from the second season and a third season was confirmed on October, I recently watched the show and I loved it and getting to see Hailee again, in such a great role was incredible. Also I was wanting to watch this because Emily is what a great poet, her work is incredible, every fragment that was shown on the show and the ones I’ve read just AMAZE me, Emily deserves all her recognition, it’s so sad that she can’t enjoy this but it is inspiring how she kept witting even if she had to be hidden, this can serve as an example that also artists (musicians, novelists, poets, etc.) can work on their stuff for years and one day you’ll get to release your work. So much respect and love for Emily, I really wish that she could read and know how much people love her all around the world, I know for a fact that she would be so happy to know that.

I don’t think her dad actually hated her writing. I think he supported her. Based off what I’ve heard and read outside of this series. This is just someone’s interpretation of her life, although some of it is true. I think her brother was actually jealous of her writing and didn’t like that. That part I think is true. Btw if anyone's wondering why Emily and Susan's relationship is only now really being explored, you can put the blame on Mabel Loomis Todd, who was Austin's mistress and edited Emily's poems after death, removing any mention of Susan so that she could demonize her as a cruel woman, solely because she was her lover's wife.

    • @richardrussell6861
      @richardrussell6861 3 роки тому +4

      That is fascinating and completely plausible, the only explanation of the disappearing of Susan that makes sense. Dickinson wrote more letters to Susan than anybody else, and Susan is one of the only people in Dickinson's poems to be specified by name.
      One thing I hope Dickinson explores in future seasons is that Emily and Lavinia allowed Austen and Mrs. Todd to meet privately in the Dickinson Home. My guess is that Emily took advantage of when Austen and Mrs. Todd were meeting in her home to spend alone time with Susan next door.

    I love the fact that everytime I come across Hailee’s character, comments are always talking about Emily Dickinson as if she was real and alive felt like she really is the real Emily that was in the series. Hailee did a really good job portraying her.

    Emily is such a great writer during her era and i can feel the pain of her in each and every poem. Words are so relatable one's can see a portrayl of her personal life and difficulty she was facing from the very beginning. Many of her poem denotes 'Death' and that's what she was gone through in her life .
