I don't understand why you have not included Kaman vs. Hoost fights. Rob "Mr. Low Kick" Kaman is generally criminally underrated. And he schooled Hoost.
Seems like Cikatic had stones for hands. Personally, Hoost vs Hug was his "best" defeat in that that it was one of the greatest matches in the history of K1.
Nearly all of Hoost's losses were brutal. While Sapp did hit Hoost after the bell and I believe the other fight was stopped early Hoost losing to Sapp really makes Kickboxing to this day look bad compared to it's counterparts. I couldn't imagine an ex toughman fighter from another non combat sport coming to boxing or MMA with very little technique and beating guys like Muhammad Ali, Mike Tyson, Larry Holmes, Tyson Fury, Stipe Miocic, Fedor Emelianenko, Fabricio Werdum, Mirko Cro Cop, Josh Barnett etc
Honestly, this was one of the few times brute strength overcame skill. Size does matter in a fight and there’s only so many punches you can take from a person that’s 300+ lbs
@Koreja Korembad Yes but as far as I understood Cro Cop's win against Sapp came later. Sapp was 'figured out' and if you watch the fight Cro Cop knew better than to get into a slug fest with him, moving around the ring staying out of his way until he gets to land a terrific shot which broke Sapp's orbital bone. Hoost wanted to prove Sapp wasn't worthy and wanted to beat him with his style - there's only so much skill can do when you get into a slugfest with a roided up 175kg tank who was fighting for his life. He let his pride take control. Also it was in the early days when Sapp was literally fighting for all he was worth.
@@Speaker12311 Bro Bob sap was WAYYY heavier than 300 pounds dude was like I think around 420-430 pounds for that fight he's also like 6-6 even the biggest guys in the NFL aren't that big
Please look at the fights between Hoost and Rob Kaman. Kaman is certainly one of the best Dutch fighters ever. A petty he is not as well known as the usual suspects.
7:25 I still have questions about that stoppage; Hoost wasn't loopy and Sapp was hardly landing on anything but the gloves. But if Sapp wasn't such an inveterate headhunter, he could have shut Hoost down early, because Ernesto was hardly guarding his body, at all.
Ernesto Hoost was King of k1 grand prix. Was 4 times golden,11 times in finale. He was not surpassed by anyone.Unfortunately, Bob Sapp and other not-so-good fighters defeated him.

Hoost vs Sapp is such an enjoyable fight that I regularly rewatch.
Technique vs Raw Power!

Hoost vs Kaman 2. That’s the fight Ernesto Hoost learned a lot from.
В концовочке Боб Сапп передразнил надменного хуста😂
RIP branko
Branko is biggest warrior from 🇭🇷
Another loss was Sam Greco vs Ernesto Hoost in 1998
Ko vs Rob Kaman 18.11.1990 - The Battle of the year - Amsterdam

Бранко Чикатич умер в 2020 а не 2010
Filho knocked out Hoost unconscious. Then he beat the Brazilian "on points". He didn't avenge shit.
why did branko had a so short career?
He came to K-1 at a very late time. When he won the first and last K-1 champion belt in 1993, he was almost 40 years old.

Jean Theriault defeated Hoosta.

Sapp is 1.96 m not 2 meters tall. I mean 4 cm is a big difference in my opinion . What I would give to be 1.82 m and not 1.78 m.lol😘🥳
His weakness is powerlessness.
And now Mirko cro cop said I'm the best fighter in Croatia Mirko you are nothing big O Branko rules
