This poor flight instructor. Trying to make the “foreign student” feel comfortable and being so nice out of his own kindness and integrity. Talk about the ultimate betrayal and con job. This gentleman reminds me of my dad-honest, good-natured, and decent. Makes me so angry that he was used in this way. Completely not his fault. Awful deception and pure evil.

yeah, Americans of his type are very mis used because they are way too nice to people they shouldn't be. They've been brought up to be decent and nice and then are taken advantage of by criminals and terrorists. And criminals and terrorists worldwide are very aware of this American tendency and utilize it. I always tell Americans, stop being so chummy to people you should not be so chummy with.

Just like many of those people on the Kibbutz in Israel. The people they brought into their homes and community, the people they helped were the ones that handed over details of their families, homes, children and pets.
      Betrayal is a potent pill.

He didn't just treat him as "the guy who trained a 9/11 hijacker" but he also gave this man dignity by ending the interview with a good chunk of his personal stories of being a commercial pilot. @@olliestudio45there was precedent. The FBI had intelligence on middle eastern people who are in flight schools that are possibly involved with terrorist organizations and possibly planning an attack involving airplanes. The problem is the FBI and all the government agencies didn’t talk to each other and that’s how things like this fell through the cracks.

I’m a private pilot and I see what you are saying. Especially back then. They screwed me up for doing a low pass over my own property in my super cub. Nothing came of it but I had to deal with their bullshit and not fly for over a month and it was all for nothing but they let shit like this get by as well as taking forever to catch up with idiots like Trevor Jacob. The faa now is all over everything in good ways and bad. Unfortunately just being suspicious does not constitute a crime and there is a fine line between being proactive and protecting people and violating rights

Back in 2004, I was a teen going to Florida from Philly with my family. We just happened to be walking to the terminal at the same time as our pilot. We chatted with him, he was a very nice man. And during boarding he actually let my younger brother and I sit in the cockpit. We were super shocked considering 9/11 was only 3 years prior, and I have no idea if that was even allowed, but it was such a cool experience and those pictures we took still make me happy to look at 20 years later. I hope that pilot is well and living his best life.

I don’t know when airlines officially stopped doing the whole take kids into the cockpit and give them flight wings thing but it would’ve been 2008 and I was flying for the very first time on an alternative spring break trip with a big group of college students and someone ended up flagging down the flight attendant to tell them it was my first time flying. It must have been before take off but they took me up to meet the pilot real quick and gave me the flight wings pin.
I’m drawing a blank right now on which airline it was- one of them that doesn’t even exist anymore, but yeah, that sort of thing seems to have still been allowed- or at least happened while the plane was still on the ground. I assume not every flight crew or airline was even allowing young adults up front but it’s kind of a bummer that they all have stopped that kind of thing. I’m pretty sure I still have those wings floating around somewhere. I love flying and will drive to airports to just watch planes take off and listen to music in the car when I need to de-stress or just go somewhere to think. Would love to learn to fly but one of those kind of far out dreams.

I flew only a few months ago, they still let two kiddos into the cockpit. But I believe as long as you’re still on the ground there’s no real danger involved-and usually it happenes during boarding when door etc are still open and stuff.

From what I remember some stuff was released but also there were threats made by the Saudi government that if the 21 page is were fully released that they would immediately dump All American Financial assets that they had which would be not a good thing for us because in those 21 Pages it implicated members of the Saudi royal family and heavily implicated Saudi Arabia themselves being involved

I was so afraid for my twin brother who often took long hauls from Boston to L.A. for work. It was early afternoon our time when the tragedy occurred & I couldn’t get anyone in Boston on the phone. Lucky my brother sent me an email telling me that he was sick & at home. He lost two coworkers though on one of the flights. Never will forget that tragic day & think of all the people who were killed. We have been to NYC twice & visited the memorial & museum 😢

Most Muslims are very peaceful people but just like any religion you’ll have bad people just like now it is with Christians, Catholics,Jews, etc….
A easy way to compare radical Islam is like how in America we have Mormons yeah they have parts of the Christian religion but they tweak it and convince people that it’s the true word of god when it isn’t. cash is king. and back then it was not on the radar that this was going to happen??? according to the Fbi. cia. and any body responsible

@stevenphilip719 he said the fbi knew they had information there are some who are trying to infiltrate and get training but left hand wasn't talking to left hand, and they obviously had that rule for a reason. So really should've checked that out more.
If even this guy and others felt something sketchy enough to call when they hadn't before that should've been red flag.
These guys even said once they heard about 9/11 they asked each other if they thought it was this guy so he definitely stuck out in their minds.

Let's be real: 911 is this guy's fault, period. Not really. I just started watching - like 30 seconds. Why should this guy feel guilty for giving anyone some flight lessons? He's a pilot and a flight instructor, not a psychic. Doh.
