Newcastle fan here, very refreshing to see an honest breakdown on the match. I agree I think the issue was your struggle to score and perhaps if Ben White wasn't as lazy he could have closed Willock down, Willock had loads of room to calculate and make the cross that led to the goal. Regardless, I appreciate your honest and unbiased overview! Certainly makes a change!

Arteta throwing away every cup hes involved in to put all effort into a league he wont win is costing Arsenal heavily. People will use buzz words like process and rebuild to stay positive while their club goes trophyless.

I love watching Arsenal fans (bar the likes of Lee and his community who are actually objective and have a spine) because of their arrogance. They think they have some divine right to winning. For a club that hasn’t a won a league in 20 years and never the UCL, you’d think they’d have more shame.

Arteta is naive. Instead of putting all his eggs in one basket he should prioritise domestic cups as well it would take some pressure off him. Getting knocked out of all the cups and then not winning the Prem again is not a good look at all. That’s no progression what so ever

Eddie No-Threatia! and the front 3 were useless. We can't blame VAR. This is down to tactics and the manager now and it's looking now that he's feeling the pressure. Havertz offered nothing again.

@nnamdichilakakingsleyibekw9177 It was a bad decision, and the officiating of the Premier league needs to be investigated. But you can't ignore the lack of creativity and chances. If we got that right and won the game, we wouldn't be moaning about VAR, and the fact that Arteta comes out in a post-match conference defending these players' performance is not good. A few of these players need to be thrown to the wolves of the media for their performances we can't wrap players like this in cotton wool and hide behind VAR. January will make or break Arteta.

Refreshing to see Arsenal fans able to see beyond the "controversey". The foul is the only part of the goal that really could have gone either way (don't get me started on spheres), and this time it went the way of Newcastle. Arsenal had about 100 minutes in total to make that goal pointless, yet they only managed 1 easy shot on target.

Newcase fan. Saliba was a beast today. As was Rice. The rest of them bang average. Saka well below par. Martinelli shut out completely by Trips, then by Livramento (what a player he is already at 20 years of age).
Newcastle, as usual, had a plan, executed it and it worked. Arsenal had no cutting edge & looked clueless in the final 3rd. Odegaard plays & it's a different game. Worrying for Arsenal they rely on him so much.
Take no pleasure in this one after all the cards & injuries, but at least we took the points as well so it wasn't all for nothing.

Keeper should just be catching that and theres nothing more to say. Arteta's done a number on deflecting away from the Arsenal shortcomings in that match.
