These are very pretty, I've made a couple myself and just love them. Plus you are reusing something that would normally be in the landfill. Love your videos 😊
Thanks so much for writing Nancy. I agree with you, I also loved the look of plarn, hope many more people could try this up cycling technique and avoid throwing plastic bags away, best wishes!! :)
I LOVE my basket so much! I took it to Walmart to show the girls in the crafts/sewing department what I did with all my WMT plastic bags! :>) BTW, do you think you could make an EASY tutorial for beginners on how to crochet hoop earrings with some beads. Not too fancy tho'. Keep it simply and EASY!
Thanks so much for the last messages, I'm so happy to know that not only everything worked out with the basket but that you loved the result!!! I also think they look amazing, and it's so great you shared your experience with the WMT girls :D I will definitely add your request to my "tutorials to come" list. Im not certain when I will be able to make them but it's a lovely idea, thanks, warmest of regards Pinky!!!
I'm starting mine and I'm using plarn cord! so I'm using up more plastic and I think it has a more yarn like look and it's deffinetly stiffer and more durable. Though it really needs some strength to do the stitches I think it would be worth it in the end, Thank you for making this! I hope you can make a plarn bag/basket handle that's either crocheted or braided, I think it would really make the basket look even better! Edit: Also, I was wondering if I can switch the sc to hdc in back loop only when I reach the part of no increase?
Thanks so much for your kind comment and for following this tutorial for your own plarn basket. I agree, it's not as easy to crochet when it's thicker but Im sure the result will be great and sturdy. Will take the handle making suggestion, it's always practical to add those useful details. Have a great day and hope to see your finished result! 😉💐💐
Thanks for watching. When you make rounds with the same number of stitches, without increasing anymore, like in the big basket from round 8 on, you make 48 sc in each round, the basket starts growing from the flat base. If you want to see more details about the pattern you can visit this link chabepatterns.com/free-patterns-patrones-gratis/home-hogar/plarn-baskets-canastas-de-plarn/ hope my answer helps, have a lovely day :)
Im not sure if I get your question, there's always a front and back of stitches. Single crochets in the round look like "V" shapes from the front, hope this helped ☺
I was a total beginner and i made my first plarn basket just by seeing your video. Amazing explanation. 👍
It is wonderful for me to know this tutorial allowed you to complete the project, congratulations and thank you so much! 💕☺️🎉

Wait a minute!! HOW did that get from FLAT to a basket?

Yes! I found that out. THANKS for the video. I made the big basket like the one on the right (blue & white).
It's gorgeouss! Thanks for the tutorial!
Why is it that my stitches look neat from one side and “dirty” from the other? How can I solve this?
Im not sure if I get your question, there's always a front and back of stitches. Single crochets in the round look like "V" shapes from the front, hope this helped ☺
Wut size hook is that?
Nevermind, I see the answer in the description box...
Glad you found the details for the pattern, enjoy your crocheting and thanks for visiting ;)
Very nice
Glad you like the idea thanks so much!!
