In the video there s Halep but that's a different case, she bought it, used it and it was orally! Also she had questioned her biological passport
The question is not guilt or innocence. The questions are the failure to sanction as per their rules and the failure to report this until 5 months later. The question is how does Sinner's team and the people who bent the rules to accommodate him move on from this. They created the problem now they need to create the solution.
ATP CEO is Italian, and Sinner is the post child for ATP. It was totally corrupted for ATP to hide this entire incident when it happened. Tennis world will never forget about this, and will bring this up all the time. Sinner just needs to prepare himself for all the doubts and damages on his reputation.

If his appeals against suspension had not been upheld, then it would have been made public at that point..obviously he would not have been allowed to play. There are several factors, the amount of the banned substance found, the quick location of the source of the contamination, and, yes, obviously a very good legal team. In Halep's case, there was far more present and over a longer period of time and it took a while to identify where the contamination had come from. Also she still bore some responsibility as she hadn't double checked what she was taking. Same for Sharapova, she hadn't herself checked the banned list. They judge the degree of diligence as well as internationally. In Jannik's case, he could not have known and had taken reasonable steps to avoid this sort of situation. I agree the delay in Halep's and other cases was awful. But it just happened that, in Sinner's case, it was much more straightforward

For the more public doping scandals that you're thinking of either the player did not appeal in time, or their appeal was not accepted Between the low levels detected (not enough to enhance performance) and precedent with Clostobol being highly transmissable (scientific studies have been done on it), it makes perfect sense that the appeal would be accepted and the provisional ban to be lifted as they investigste further. A player ranked outside the top 300 went through the same prpcess just last year, its the way its done

Why do you assume this? The rule is that if you have a prohibited substance in your system, even if it was not intentional and not your fault. It's just the rule and it counts for everybody. If he had such good connections why wouldnt they let him keep his points? Or just throw the samples in the trash?

There's no way his team has dope around without knowing it's dope. They just knew they had enough plausible deniability to get away with it. All Italians need to be tested regularly and suspended if positive and Sinner should be retroactively suspended as well. This calls into question his slam win. There are players from some countries that never test positive. Anyone saying Sinner is innocent is compromised

Imo, the very least that Jannik can do to salvage this situation, is to 1) have any points that he won during this period be deducted from his overall ranking, and 2) return all the prize money back to the tournament, or somehow maybe the tournament could award a partial amount of the returned money over to the finalists who Jannik defeated Hopefully, everyone does their part to uphold the integrity of the sport going forward i.e. the ATP/WTA strives to be fully transparent with how they handle players, and the players themselves and their team all do their due diligence to make sure they don't get caught up taking banned substances

Half of the world's doping cases with clostebol come from Italy (mostly justified by the same/similar excuse about the wound healing cream that Janik is exposed to). It is one of the last countries in the world where clostebol is still sold. In Indian Wells, he failed a doping test and was allowed to continue competing. He should be suspended for at least two years and everything he won in 2024 should be taken away.
My guess is that the athletes knowingly or staff knowingly use this cream for marginal gains, and can blame a positive test result on the cream that is readily available in Italy, and then can blame staff, thus avoiding a ban if good lawyers are imployed...lets have tournament bans for anyone testing positive regardless whos fault it is, let the player come back after say 3 tournaments, strip the player of points from the previous 3 tournaments, then have to pass a test to come back. No appeals just be forced to forego 3 tournaments what ever level the player is at.

Tests are too sensitive, investigation process for most p,Ayer’s is too slow, presumed guilt while investigation takes place is wrong approach.

So what was he supposed to do??? Refuse and self-banning himself if he knew he did not take nothing?????
