Your book? If so, thanks for this excellent work. I got the whole series, incl. the very first Pz. IV issue. I have been using them for years in model building. Just wish there would be an English version, I am not even sure what I am missing by not being able to read the texts. Other than that, I am very glad to have your books in my shelf. Best regards from Germany.
@@Custer0706 I am grateful that they have all my books. I was able to write this book with the help of three German people. These books were written as a reference for model making, but I have now donated them to the museum to help with restoration.
@@Custer0706 Take pictures of the text and put them thru google translate. It wont be perfect translations but should mostly be understandable enough to benefit you in your modelling work.
@@MitsuruBitoh Dear Mitsuru San I really agree to Custer0706, you should look if in this times it may be possible to find a printhouse to have an ebook version with English text, the technology to protect this ebooks is getting better these days so you can be sure to sell them ;-) It has been like finding a diamant, when I discovered the first one on a show in UK, back in the 90ties. Today I have all of them except the Tiger issue. I think your way of presenting knowledge it is very helpful for all modellers. THX
You guys are the sole reason for making me to fly to Australia at some point of my (for the largest part spent) life. All the best for 2025! Looking forward to following this project. Regards from Germany.
Dears, you asked for the round iron bar at the back of the Pz. II. You can find the information in Panzer Tracts 2-1. In comparison to the first a series prototyps from series b on, the armor (Panzerung) was done with rolled, homogeneous nickel-free steel, that brought an extra weight of 500 kg. At first there were installed Verstärkungskegel on some b (reinforcing cones) to manage physical stress of the hull. When Ausf. B Series No. 24001 - 24569 and 25001 - 25058 came to production the crews had stressed the existing tanks enough to learn that using the tank for sure may lead to cracks in the armour (or welding), so the engineers added a ZUGSTREBE (tension strut) to strengthen the chassis against the strong forces, this maybe used as a backfit on earlier tanks aswell.
Amazing projects ahead, ausarmour is becoming the best tank museum in the world, only 1 panzer 2 lowercase c still exists, a handful of Wespe’s none running, no surviving flamingo ( turret ) that I can find, no surviving 221’s ( for now dmitry bushmakow has one to restore in the future)
I LOVE these digging-through-parts-bins reveals for the same reason as I loved unboxing model kits as a kid. Laying the main bits out on the floor feels just like clipping the big bits of the kit together, to get a sense of the whole and for that little boost of instant gratification that helps fuel a long-haul job. Excellent stuff!
Hi from France,I want to wish all the fantastic team a happy new year for 2025 ! With these projects,I'm sure my wednesdays for this year will be good days ! Keep on reviving all theses historical pieces to show them for public.Again a great thanks for the EBR from last year. From a guy who did his military duty in the french 2ème DB (2nd armoured division) in 1978/1979 .
There's a smile on Darrell face! Mine too! Love the II and its derivatives. That Pzkfw II build is going to be a breeze after that Pzkfw I! and to make that Wespe a runner! That will be fun to ride in!
A Wespe and a Panzer IIc (lower case) to look forward to, awesome. Looking forward to seeing the completed Stug III and SdKfz 251 (?), so much to look forward to. Happy New Year guys, all the best.
It is blatantly obvious that you all are masters of your craft. To look at a Wespe in that condition and then just list off all the steps necessary to return it to pristine condition leaves me speechless. I wouldn't know where to start! Thank you for the video and keep up the great work!
Rendkivül izgalmas projekt lesz. Hihetetlen sokrétü tudàst igényel. Bravo!!! Én is pàncéloson voltam katona de régen. Silka volt légvédelmi gépàgyus pàncélos volt. Zeusz volt a Nato kodja! Jó nézni hogy vannak még szakmai zsenik.
I love your videos. The perfect mix of narration and just letting us watch them work. I also love that you guys do your best the make this stuff functional when you can.
That's what I was thinking, if you aren't starting now just soak it for a few months and your life will be so much easier when you eventually get to it
Nothing as impressive as the German Armour and aircraft of ww2. Thanks for restoring and preserving it. You guys are amazing, so much fun to watch. Thank you.
Happy New Year you lot Down Under! Just makes me smile when any of the guys see a busted up lump of metal and say 'No worries - we can sort that'. The Panzer II looks a right challenge but we know it will be built.
Thanks for this video.. for health reasons I'm not longer able to do any of this kind of work.. so it means a lot to me to see these projects and the enthusiasm and skill of the restorers.. preserving these highly valuable lessons from history for future generations..
I hope Daz got to do this on Christmas Day! Like a little kid he would have been there 2 hours early waiting impatiently to get in 😂 Happy New Year Kurt Fromausarmour and all the gang! p.s Putting that Panzer back together will be like building a 1:1 Scale model 😂 Only having to fix it all first 😒
oh wow another video surprise full of potential epicness this project is going to be so entertaining, tanks to all at Aus Armour for sharing this it really is not something you see every day, building a WWII tank i'm sure again as with previous vehicles the level of reconstruction will be very sympathetic the series of books showing all the level of detail is in its own right a masterpiece of information
You guys will have plenty to do this year, 2025, but you all will do your best as you are all very skilled craftsmen! I wish I was there just to help you! Happy New year 🎉
This is going to make Workshop Wednesday unmissable! Some great projects coming up. Shame I’m on the other side of the world. Happy New Year from a wet and stormy Southern England.
Yep, new year, new Workshop Wednesday; doesn't get any better! Amazing collection of parts. I cannot help feeling that you guys must be now some of the last that will be able to revive some of these WW2 relics. Good on you and here's to prosperity. You are definitely leaving your mark!
11:55 Differences: One of the more notable differences are heavier sets of suspension springs on the ‚Wespe‘, as compared to the regular PzKw. II Ausf. c and A-C.
Suddenly it’s 1978 and my glue-covered teenage fingers are slaving over a Bandai Wespe kit in 1/48th scale… tempted to jump on a plane and log some hours on the real thing! Happy new year to all the skilled craftsmen in Cairns!
Happy New Year to all the staff of AusArmour ! from Japan. It seems a lot of cool new projects being ready to start there. Can't wait to watch them on Workshop Wednesday !. There are some more Panzer books writen by the same author you might be intersted in. 😊
I always found that if you chop split pins flush to the castle then pop on yer socket and a long bar you can cleeve the remains of the split pin off by turning, then punch out the last bits Great vid! Can't wait to see these little beauties back up and running!!!
Thank you for introducing my book "ACHTUNG PANZER".

Starting the new year with a workshop Wednesday. Off to a good start
Same thoughts and a fresh ☕, settling in for year 2025 😃
True! Also I like the first few seconds of video with Steve monkeying around far behind Kurt. :D
Nooooooooooooo doubt about it!
The best start
They got 90% of the original parts for the Panzer II, gonna be a really short one.😅
OMG! I'm so freaking excited for the PZ-IIc!
新年おめでとうございます。毎週水曜日、日本から視聴しています。職人さん達、尊敬しています。

I got to Oz some years back and when you leave you will want to go back again.
I recently visited Berlin and was absolutely blown away by the history you have there.
@@paterson247 We have been doing stuff for a while now… ;-)
"Tiger 1 Final Drive" ohh let's see inside that box!
Oh. It's broken...
That caught my eyes 😮😂❤❤❤
I love the enthusiasm and skill these guys display.

Omg workshop Wednesday on New Years Day. You guys are top notch. Looking forward to all the work shops and fix its in 2025. Stay healthy and safe.

Yes likewise, its totally absorbing and we just KNOW that the end result will be spectacular, maybe even unique?

Very cool guys, but really the Wespe is awesome too hear! I wish there were more Ferdinans out there and a Survivor Bison Arty.
This channel is so great. The enthusiasm and determination to restore these great pieces of history is fantastic.

Great way to start the new year. Thanks to you and everyone at the
museum.......
Nice I can't wait for these, especially the Wespe. 👍
Looks like the team had time to fix up Daryl's missing tooth, nice work
Their workshop is pretty amazing
They found their crate of spare Daryl parts in the storage facility.
Happy new year everyone, will be following the progress on these two projects and any updates that come our way. 😊

Congrats on completing your collection of full scale period correct Panzer kits, have fun with the assembly work.
The funny thing is that's just how they were built, a whole heap of smaller parts stuck together. No chassis really,
A Wespe and a Panzer IIc (lower case) to look forward to, awesome.
Looking forward to seeing the completed Stug III and SdKfz 251 (?), so much to look forward to.
Happy New Year guys, all the best.
I take my hat off to everyone there, the amount of dedication/knowledge/skill and care shows in all they do.👍🇦🇺😎

The stamp on the aluminum box, priceless stuff.
I'm looking forward to the guys putting this puzzle together. It would be great to have a runner when it's finished.
Thanks Kurt! Happy New Year to you and all the staff at the museum.
I think that Wespe is in the best starting shape of any AusArmour project that I have seen!
Suddenly it’s 1978 and my glue-covered teenage fingers are slaving over a Bandai Wespe kit in 1/48th scale… tempted to jump on a plane and log some hours on the real thing!
