A13, nice! Now I know what that’s called. I always thought of it as the Beatles “The End” chord, as it’s in the main riff of that song (along with what I now know is a D13 at the tenth fret).
Correcting myself. Once I sat down to play it, I realized the Beatles “The End” chords are actually A7 and D7. But still, that A13 at the end of this song sounds so sweet!
@@HardlyRamone OMG, My life will never be the same😱😱😱 I thought Johnny was playing power chords, although the difference is almost not noticeable. Both on power chords and on barre sounds cool, but the first option is easier)
@@АлексЛиРот Haha, yeah the barre chords still sound kind of similar to power chords because of Johnny's heavy downstrokes hitting the bottom strings the hardest. But the higher strings in barre chords are played too, they add a harmonic fullness that really fills out the wall of sound to sound truly "Ramones"
@@HardlyRamone by the way, as far as I know, Johnny switched to power chords on the albums of the 80s and 90s, because the "wall of sound" disappeared and the sound became more pop
@@АлексЛиРот That's as far as the records and by the way it was played by producers who double tracked some rhythm and lead guitars. While playing live he still used barre chords until they disbanded in 1996.
I'm 58, this reminds me of my 14th birthday

I don't understand, you're used power chords or barre chords?
Barre chords, strumming all six strings
