Cool setup man. I appreciate using what you have and making things work!!! I am just starting out and using my 2005 Tacoma PreRunner (long bed). I like the reels in the back for quick access. I may actually add those to my truck! Thanks for sharing your set up.
awesome setup man, you have it all in there! I bet the Chief Steamer puts in some work for you. The only thing I can criticize is just put some straps on your stuff. From a safety concern, god forbid if you get in an accident for any reason, you don't want to get your self or some else hurt from items shifting around, especially your water tank, compressor or generator. Other than that you make a little bit of space go a long way and I bet your customer are very happy with your result!
I have one suggestion, I have the same hose reel I recommend removing the snap ring and removing the first O-Ring if you're having a little leakage and putting some plumbers tape where the o-ring goes then placing the o-ring back. Once its nice and snug the issue of droplets will disappear.
@SudzmanDetailing so from what i can gather, if you use the plumbers tape it creates a better seal in tandom with the o-ring. I think maybe I should make a video and give a better explanation, the o rings that come with the hose reel might not be intended to run with water perhaps why theres a smidget of space I'm not really sure. Mine broke down last week was going to give up on it until I bought replacement snap rings and O rings but adding the plumbers tape made the o ring tight so no water leaks. Sorry if my explanation isnt so good.
Nice work, I would definitely capitlize on thr space behind your reels, maybe for tour steamer etc. My son has a Tacoma Sport and does mobile detailing, I am looking to help him install a similar setup. Thanks for sharing the video
4:20 and that’s why I bought a Silverado lol. I wanted a Tacoma but I figured it was way too small and I don’t want to be smelling all my chemicals while I’m driving .
Digging the setup man. You actually don’t need a pump for that pressure washer man. I have the same setup with the ryobi and a 65 gallon low pro tank. It works amazing. I’ve even used it with the active 2.0 pressure washer. If you need help hit me up.
Thank you! And the reason I had to use a pump because with the tank turned like that, I dont have access to the outlet 😅. So I can’t gravity fed unfortunately unless I turn the tank vertical. Love your vids btw!
Hi SudzmanDetailing I already got all materials in your list, but cannot find anyone to install them on my truck bed. Please, can you simply post a diagram of the all system in order to mount by myself?
That looks nice. What brand or type is the reel for the pressure washer, and what parts you have to modify. I’m about to do the same thing but I haven’t found the reel for my Yamatic superflex 75’ hose. Thank you for sharing!!
It’s harbor freight, but i recommend not going with this reel to convert to a pressure washer reel. I have a lot of o-ring Replacements for some reason and I’m trying to figure out why. Recommend just getting a reel specifically for a pressure washer!
Yes, but im going to make an updated video. I’ve gone gravity fed with a new setup. Stay tuned! I’ll have a list of all parts, dimensions etc so you guys have all the info needed.
Unfortunately yes. Since the reel is meant for an air compressor, I constantly have to replace the rubber o-ring a lot. I would recommend to just get a retractable reel specifically for a pressure washer or get the non retractable kind.

I would like to do the same for my Tacoma but to clean at least 3 cars or less. Excellent work; you only need to organize it better, and that's it.
Thanks!

Funny you mention that because I ordered some straps today 😅😅. Thanks for the advice!
Bro I hope you’re doing very well !! What brand it’s your water tank ?? And the measurements
As info, if you look at RV pumps, they auto-start and shut off, idea for pressure washers. For others who might be looking at options.
Man appreciate this. I’ve been trying to find a tank for my Tacoma and you just helped me so much!
No problem brother! Hopefully your setup will turn out great!
I hope so. The goal is to be going by next month. Hopefully with spring around the corner, it will help jumpstart the business.

Will that cause the o-ring to not snap? That’s been my biggest issue with that reel lol

Nice set up! Not sure if I missed it but where you keeping a ladder for big vehicles?
Yes! I have a small step ladder I use. I have a enough room to lay it flat on top of the pressure washer.
How you feel the weight of everything plus water tank full on your tacoma ? Power, handle, braking etc?
Thanks great video and ideas
Thank you! Everything is fine, Have not had any issues with the performance of the vehicle. Brakes tend to wear down a little faster, but thats it
Thanks I was looking for a setup for my Tacoma, I’m copy 😅

What remote control do you recommend to turn off my water pump?
Any Bluetooth remote control will work honestly. Just find one in your budget
Do you use the same exact reel for your air hose and pressure washer hose?
Yep! Just converted one for the pressure washer
