THE STORY OF MEM AND ZIN
Ehmede Xani created from Mem and Zin's epic a tragic work of art, which is equal to Shakespeare's "Romeo and Juliet" or Fuzuli's "Leyla and Mecnun" with it's literal worth.
The feature film is based on Ehmede Xani's work of and the shootings were done in real enviroments, in Mardin, Midyat, Nusaybin, Hasankeyf and Cizre.
Hundred years ago there were a ruler in Boten called Zeyniddin Bey and he had two beautiful sisters, named Zin and Siti. The girls go to the Nevroz festivities in disquise and fall in love with tqo young men who also participated in celebrations in disquise.
These two well known and respected young men, named Mem and Tajdin, also fall passionately in love with the girls.
First Tajdin ask Siti from the Bey for marriage and the Bey who also likes the young men allow them to marry. Tajdin and Siti get married with a great marriage celebration.
When times comesto the marriage of Mem and Zin- Beko, Zeyniddin Bey's vizier interrupts and provokes the Bey against Tajdin and Mem. He claims if Bey allows Zİn to marry Mem these two friends would destroy his kingdom and take away his mastership.
Bey gets suspicious and swears that he would never allow everbody get married with Zin until he dies...
