Brother Milo, in 6 min you saved my swing and my back, therefore you saved my LIFE. I can NOT thank you enough.
Thanks for watching Joseph and I'm glad you gained some value from my video. If I can be of any further help, please do reach out!
The second drill in particular is huge. *HUGE.* I was one of those people that tipped the club out and turned, and I pulled it left all day. Once you get that club in behind you you can turn as much as you want.
Now you're getting it!
Nice lesson Milo. I'll try the shut club drill.
Letting the club follow u into the ball!! I will try that swing thought at the range tomorrow
This interesting swing thought has led me to swing more fluidly. It has also led me to realize for the first time that my follow-through was sloppy. When I think about letting the club follow me, my left arm folds beautifully in the follow-through and my swing is, therefore, more in balance and fluid. Thanks again Milo.
Feel the weighted club head following you as you rotate through the ball. Correct? This makes total sense to me since we are not throwing the handle with our trail hand as we might throw a base ball. In the case of golf; the club head is our ball. Nice! Conceptualization.
During the parts of your videos where you describe what the golfer is doing wrong, that is my swing 99.9% of the time. No ones ever critiqued my swing so well lol. I seriously need lessons from Milo.
You’re not the only one
Cheers Milo, don't know how I missed this one ? but it is just what I needed as my early extension was starting to rear its ugly head. You're the best mate.
Thanks for watching!
Love the drill with hooded face!👍🏻
👊
At 2:03 is this the student keeps the lower body including hips more stable/firm (less movement) ? Thanks.
Thanks milo- can you explain the difference between keeping my back to the target as long as possible vs letting my arms travel through impact?
Not sure I understand the question
Interesting milo. In this video you show us to drills that help us not hook/pull left; you teach us to correct for an overly closed face and teaches us how to not hit left; would the opposite be true as I hit right and slice? if i did the same drill with an overly open face, would i find how to avoid the slice? thanks
It would cause you to flip more to square it.
1:04 2:03 The different postures
Okay, for me, this video contradicted advice given in a previous video. My observation concerns maintaining a downward angle of the shoulders in the back swing. For me, I physically have to push my rear backward to maintain this angle, creating more bend at the waist. In this video, you say to not push the rear backward but to stand more upright. This posture causes a less downward angle of the shoulders going back. I look at videos of pros and their rear end is definitely behind their heels (when viewed from down the line). I tried your method for the past few days and my body finally started to respond consistently during the final 9 holes yesterday. I finished hitting the ball really well, slightly right at impact with a little draw back to the left. I also noticed my lower back starting to tighten up during the round. Today, I'm sitting here on the sofa because my back is wrenched from yesterday. I play golf 3-4 days a week and my back hasn't bothered me in years....Wonder why golf is soooo hard?????
K Walls ua-cam.com/video/Zm3pxrXf8t8/v-deo.html hope this video answers some of your questions
@@MiloLinesGolf I Went to the range today and worked on adding left sidebend while standing taller. It worked like a charm! Just have to keep ingraining the swing. Thanks for your help! My ball flight is now straight with a slight draw after hitting fades for soooo long.
Love ur work Milo. In foundation drill 1 sometimes a fear a heavy shot from the super wide to wide feeling. What would cause that?
Could be setup, refer to setup and posture videos and maybe narrow stance a touch when doing #1. Start off a small tee as well.
@@MiloLinesGolf I might be swinging to left arm parallel with stiff arms and wrists too, can that be a reason, swinging too far with foundation 1 drill?
Could be, but cross out setup first, then maybe look at where your pressure is, and are you having low point issues because of how your pressure is moving and the sequence.
@@MiloLinesGolf I went through setup and couldn't find anything wrong. I was looking for whether weight should be on left foot for a short swing drill but couldn't find that. Should weight be preset on left side?
Thanks for the video. What do you focus on during the downswing to get the maximum rotation?
Personally I focus on low tension levels in my arms and feeling as though the club is following me and that is it!
Your a genius milo.
You are too kind!
When you hit ball left hand starts to go under and right hand over on follow throw which I think if you do that it sorts out a lot of problems impact and down swing and body turn, which GG swing tips teaches his students to learn how to rotate hands over then works on body pivot
George teaches players to hit a push draw and then gets them rotating to straighten the flight
Will you do video on release as when you slow down your swing I notice club face turning over past the ball
Andy V will do thanks for the suggestion 👍
Like the drill, simple and it needs to be my body is insistent that it face the ball at impact.
Thanks!
What does ‘the club follow you into the ball” mean?
The center of mass staying behind you and to your trail side with wrist conditions, sequence, and rotation.
milo please help...I keep missing out to the right. a straight block (no good for scoring). any suggestion will be appreciated

A more pressing question for me would be, why cant I turn out of the way without suffering lower back SI joint pain? Im pretty fit for my age (61) but struggle opening the hips without then spending a week waiting for an appointment at the chiropractor!
Toby, I don't believe I've seen your swing? It's hard for me to give the best advice without knowing how you move and what could be causing your pain.
@@MiloLinesGolf Thanks but I won't waste your time......too much to fix! lol

4:20 mark...
I can see why you departed from Mike Malaska
Not trying to be argumentative, but to assume that my brain knows where the club face is pointing or that I'm swinging over the top, etc., while I'm swing the club is giving my brain lots awareness of what is going on which I don't think it has. My brain seems to be absolutely clueless.
Ben Jonson that’s why you do these drills to teach it
Ah...got it....thanks.
Milo....didnt you work for Malaska?
Your "Too steep" demonstration with the club "tipped out" seems like just what Mike is teaching...
B Johnson yes I taught under Malaska for quite some time. Mike sees the transition a little different than I do. I found that teaching my students to tip the club made the other athletic motions I teach impossible. If the pivot is working correctly the club never gets stuck which is why the tipping idea came about.
Golfletics Why did teaching your students to “tip the club out” make the other athletic motions impossible to teach? I was under the impression that “tipping the club out” was more of a feel than an actual position. One video I watched indicated that someone use to say, “feel like you’re standing the club up in the downswing” while knowing it doesn’t actually get there. Is it the feel that you believe is wrong or that it gives students the wrong image and they overdo it?
D Man it is an unnecessary feeling if the player can pivot the body correctly. Players that can pivot correctly are better served to move in a more athletic manner that will hold up under pressure. Nature will take over in the end. Most good players I have seen attempt to tip the club end up hitting pulls and hooks and move on to new Ideas. I prefer to spend my time teaching what actually needs to happen and create feelings on an individual basis because we all feel things differently. The tipping the club out feel may work for handle draggers and players lacking rotation but in my experience really good players don’t stick with that feel for long.
D Man if you still have questions check out my other videos and you’ll gain a better understanding of my ideas on athletic motion.
