Sting is timeless. His artistry from the Police to his solo career is distinctive and sets such a bar in music. He will always have a real special place in my vault of go to artists that never tire my ears.
Pure Genius
“King Of Pain”
Is the most underrated song ever
@Josue2018 Didn't Say That It Was His Best
Maybe you should read the comment before making ignorant statements
Josue2018 I know it’s rude to assume things
He's pretty damn "rated." No worries there. 😉
Sting is such a classy, kind dude and terrific musician. Kimmel always seems to be going for frat house humor.
Well said.
He's really ageing well. Like his music.
Yoga
@@lorrie2878 Baby Yoga.
@@FatNorthernBigot well, yes, there's the whole tantric sex thing...
@@lorrie2878 Plastic surgery ..68 years old common...check out his first police videos you can see he had a nose job too.
@@lucdion3363 I have never looked for a nose job. I know he's had hair implants or plugs or whatever they're called. I will have to pull my sting bin out and look at photos, lol!
"No, no, no...I do the 'magic'..."
"Every Little Thing He does Is Magic...!"
Anil Achar came to comment this. Glad someone else shares my humor 👍🏻
We're all magical just waiting for realization. Stings mission to bring us into the love vortex. 😁 Where magic runs high!
That's the first thing that came to mind for me too!
The Police were incredible. One of the best bands of the 80s. Miss the excitement of anticipating their next release.
Saw Ghost in the Machine tour in concert. Fantastic.
I love the "Soul Cages" album which captures the "shipyard" feel very well. It's my favorite of his solo albums. A great sounding record.
Lee Barry absolutely! “The Wild Wild Sea” makes me day dream, every time I listen to it. I have this fantasy of him playing it live, which I don’t think will ever happen...
Great comment...God he has done some amazing stuff...You have to wonder where people like him come up with this stuff
underappreciated album
"The Soul Cages" is the best music he ever did, including anything he did with The Police or on the own.
While I do like some of the songs on Soul Cages, my fav is Ten Summoner's Tales, by far. Such an incredibly diverse and upbeat album. Next is Dream of the Blue Turtles, then Nothing Like The Sun.
Sting has now looked the same for 25 years.
I know, right? He looks 5 to 10 years younger than the last time I saw him. Doesn't look like he's had any obvious surgery either.
DOESN'T LOOK 68
@@TheAlStewartArchives it's the yoga and tantric sex keeping him young.
He and David Lee Roth look like twins.
I think he must have had something done recently. A tiny bit of botox or facial fillers, as he's looking younger than a couple years back. Whatever he's had done has worked very well.
Unlike most of today's musical misfits this guy is a genuine class act, a proper musician from when music was still real....
Damn Sting looks fabulous.
And voice still sounds the same from the 80s
Great artist
He’s still gorgeous!
Sting is to genuineness as Kimmel is to artificiality
YES kIMMEL IS CRAP
Great point.
One of UK greatest imports... thank u sir for your contribution to my life soundtrack...❤️
Sting, if you are able to get away, come on up to Reno-Tahoe area and you can hike all over the Sierras. Come on into town and do a show or two. You will appreciate it so much more than Vegas.
Saw the play opening night and it was phenomenal. Worth my whole trip to L.A. I was so impressed that I'm going to hit Vegas to see his show there (though I wish I was seeing The Last Ship again.). One of the best soundtracks I have ever heard. Everybody was humming or singing as we left the theatre.
I’m not a fan at how Jimmy is doing these rapid fire questions... he interrupted Sting a couple times... dude Jimmy, show some poise 🤦🏻♀️
Jimmy you really blew this one man. Why did you interrupt the man so much, I really wanted to hear more about his hometown and the new project...ffs listen for once instead of just talking
Mahalo Aloha neither am I don’t like him
It's Jimmy Kimmel's show, the guests are just there to fill up airtime between his stilted monologues, clearly he believes he is more interesting.
@@dannygnaniah7552 I stopped watching because of how annoying interviewer is
'I do the magic'
Sting - 2020
He'll need it;!
Love sting. I live in his hometown (Wallsend) and there are no more shipyards and no working men. It is so sad town really run down now, but the people are still all lovely and friendly..
I LOOOOOOOOOOOOOVVVVVVEEEEEE STING.
I’m thinking a Vegas trip in May.
I actually saw his play in Finland. It was great! Also one of my most memourable days because he turned up to watch it! Just sat down in the middle of the audience and performed a couple of songs at the end of it as a surprise. It was all dream-like.
" I do the magic" classic
Sting! The ever evolving talent! Saw his show here too 👏❤️😀
"The Last Ship" is a really beautiful show. I'd highly recommend anyone in the area to check it out if they can- I'm sure seeing it with Sting himself would make it even better.
Agreed. Saw it on his birthday even.
The Last Ship is amazing, one of the only musicals I've ever really enjoyed
Sting.... We saw the last Police concert at MSG and it was Awesome!!! Thank You for the Many many great years of Awesome music. 😘😘😘. I Love You 😘💕
I was there too. Incredible show!! Loved the NYPD Drum Corps opening into Message....AMAZING!! 🎤❤🎵
Sting is awesome - and really, really funny.
...AND talented!! yes, some people are gifted by nature..!
I lived in Bayswater and studied there love it love ❤️ Sting I have only seen you live once in DC amazing 😉 now going to Vegas seems like I must go also going to see the Last Ship this spring is important
My favorite singer since i was 14 years old, i saw him four time, and it's was very magic each time !!!
Love Sting, the great poet.
Class act. Enduring music. ❤👏👏👏
Geez Jimmy, let Sting talk! You interrupted way too much!!
Yeh...way too much. Really annoying.
Jeni Wixel Exactly!
That’s exactly what I thought
So annoying when interviewers do that
I was yelling at the screen, "Jimmy, jeez, shut up! Let the man finish a sentence!" lol
Boy, how I wish I could see and hear "The Last Ship" production in LA. I remember him performing the title song on a TED Talk video. Beautiful, and he's quite a storyteller.
Hehe I've heard Sting tell these stories dozens of times over the past 30 years. They get more and more embellished. I really love the guy. What a great voice - even when he's just speaking.
Ditto lol
Such a legend... Last ship is awesome!
I enjoyed this musical enormously. Much better than I envisioned; it's stunning.
I'm sure the show in Cesar Palace will be amazing.. wished I could be there to see Sting.. he is amazing 💖 Have a delightful delightful day everyone Enjoy life 💕🍃🌍🍃💕😎✌💕 one of my big-big favourite 👍
I am going to purchase your book Jimmy, its such a lovely gesture. So awesome to see Sting to. XOX
Kat Buckley my favorite endearing term, Silly Goose!
I've seen this gentleman in concert numerous times and yes, he does do the magic. Cheers Sting.
Could listen to that man telling stories all day😍
I wanna be like him when I grow old : healthy and stylish 👍
I love how Sting clarifies who Andy and Stewart are. Come on! Everybody knows who they are, too, Sting. It's okay. Just like they know you. 😂😂😂
Roxanne 1978 I was at school then and remember the time it came out. Scary. Sting's a good old Geordie boy.
Absolutely love Sting & the Police. Wish I could go to Vegas.
And Jimmy... LET YOUR GUESTS TALK
Some of Stings lyrics are incredible. Synchronity One and Two lyrics are amazing. A once in a generation talent.
Hello Sting. Your one my all time favorites. I listen to your music and collaborations still almost everyday. Your up there with John Denver, James Taylor for me. I love band Chicago, Jazz, Jazz fusion, light rock, crooners, ballads, easy listening. Great to have songs tell stories it great inspiration poetry to music to Chaney was world positive vibes, I hate gambling
Sting is just a legend I miss those days in the 80s with band like the police. We need to keep that music alive ❤️
I will always remember Sting, not for his music, but for his role as Feyd-Rautha in David Lynch’s Dune.
that was many things. forgettable was not one of them.
I'm dyslexic but read his book Broken Music, in fact it's the only book I've read from cover to cover, aside from the Bible lol I once was told by a friend "obviously your not reading the right books if your not finishing them". So I made it my aim to finish at least one.. I have a lot of respect for the man and great book and unexpected insight into the work his doing now particularly with regards this shipyard life...
Amazing interview to a music genius!
There's literally no artist in existence like Sting, his music is so ( for the lack of a better word ) different....
Sting is very unique and talented
Agree..
Can't wait to see sting in Vegas!!!!
He is still so handsome and eloquent.
Sting is awesome. He is a great gifted talented singer.
His Confidence is radiating
His solo work is amazing....Bring On the Night--amazing movie
He's a nice guy. Thanks Jimmy. You're nice too. Good job man.
Home town = Wallsend / Newcastle upon Tyne, UK
I can’t stand how entertainment, destroying America. Media entertainers are trolls, But, Sting is still classy suave and debonair.
It's probably me, still one of my favorite songs ever. So sad I left the US a week ago :( Love you Sting.
Eazy A and love the version of gregory porter amazing
It is an amazing performance , MR porter did the first version of the song, which I only find in Lethal Weapon 3 background song.
Sting is so charming here... I mostly remember him being standoffish and reserved. He's doing a Vegas act now? I want to go!
Yup. He used to be that way. Not anymore. Fatherhood and grandfatherhood will do that to a man.
Jimmy thought it was so funny that Sting had to get a seaman’s card which of course in Jimmy’s mind meant the other little swimmers. Thankfully Sting let him giggle to himself and didn’t play along.
Saw The Police's second-to-last reunion show at the Gorge on the Columbia River.
4 encores.
I think Sting has found his Geordie accent again.
As great as always!
He is so sweet.
I love his song desert rose and still listen it
✌🏼❤️🔥 One of my faves
2:09 He’ll always be King Of Paint
Pretty much my 80s hero!
This is a good archive. Also, walking on hot weather and mountains is just for Rio. Tom Jobim would say it was Insensatez.
Sting have home outside Figline Valdarno/Toscany/Italy. You are most welcome here!!!!
He is a true gentleman!!
Sting is a legend
Make way - the legend cometh
Jimmy to Sting - I haven't seen you for a long time, imagine being able to say that!
Yeah, Sting was having none of it. Kimmel was a fringe hanger on.
pete gerard and here I was thinking Sting was a cool guy, but apparently he thinks he’s too good for people according to you - Sting must be an arsehole in your world.
@@SonjaDawn I'm sure he's a cool dude. But Kimmel is an insincere jerk. That's just how I read the body language.
Legend.
He’s awesome
Sting was very good looking in his younger years and now he is just soooo.... handsomely good looking.
The first night of my “college life” I was introduced to “Drunk-a** Roxanne” which if ur unfamiliar: the song “Roxanne” starts and every time they say “Roxanne”, u do a shot. That night was...I have no idea what happened after that. Lol
Paying someone else tens of thousands to get drunk off your ass and party. Really? The Greek system is a joke. Your "cute" little story is pre-CISE-ly why non-STEM university education is utterly worthless these days, Dee.
I love sting and I want to meet him, shake his hand and talk about music
STING , THE ONE & ONLY ...
If I Ever Lose My Faith in You
This Cowboy Song
Fragile
Set Them Free
Fields of Gold...
I could go on w/ more songs .....
Angelofmusic Wonder you just searched all those up
Set them Fred lmao
I haven’t yet heard I could go on... is it one of Sting’s more recent songs?
Spotify Account I am a Bonafide musician who’ studied classical music from age 5-17 then Jazz and Im also a vocalist and Sting is my ultimate vocalist! Along with George Michael. Every song I listed I have on both iPhones.... so no I didn’t research anything... musicians know lots of artists and songs, working musicians and vocalists that is...
Esoteric Enchiladas oh no... I was saying I could go on with more songs but I’ll stop there. Yikes, that was cool, it’s all in the interpretation of the person reading! Lol
Sting is a great guy
Stunning pic !!!
Still My Beating Heart is a great song!
"There"s only one radio station in England"
:-D
@ 2:30 I can definitely relate to that
144,209 views in a few days.Good to know that his music is still appreciated
My dream is that one day attend in one of his concerts or something...
Unfortunately I'm not from USA or UK!..
Wish me luck because that's my DREAM.
He is intriguing
Jimmy talks to himself with Sting present.
DESERT ROSE 🌹
Listening to these stories make you want to see a movie called STING or something else, it doesn't matter.
Sting: "Somebody said, 'Checking out your star, Sting?'..."
Jimmy: "Did anyone recognise you out there?"
Sting: "Yeah, the guy who said, 'Checking out your star, Sting?'"
Jimmy needs to listen to his guests more.
Obviously he had that question prepared to ask and didn't pay attn to the fact Sting already answered it. 😂
The King of Pain!!!!
🤪Sting!😍😍😍
Almost 70 years ? U r a role model !
There’s more than one radio station in England sting 🤣🤣🤣 and you know it!!!
Hi jimmy i love you.
I was st Cesar's palace this week
Howay bonnie lad, yer Geordie accent is almost gone, but every now and then you give yersel away.
