Is it an ud with an extra-long neck?
It is called "Lâvta". Its neck is longer as you said and it is fretted. Ud (Oud) is non fretted.
"Lavta" has a form similar to "oud" instrument. It is narrower and shorter in width than the oud and is a fretted instrument.
