Thanks Lisa for the video. I didn't realize using the interfaced felt I needed to watch my grain lines as well. Where I live in the mountains in the US it is a little hard to get some things without driving 60-70 miles to one of the chain fabric stores or ordering online and waiting. I made my own woven interfacing by using Heat n Bond lite on light weight Bleached Muslin. So far it has worked great for my felt and fabric parts. It is such a difference in 3 D sewing. Your patterns are super accurate. Thanks again for all the great videos and patterns. Your teaching style is thorough and easy to comprehend.

Oh Lisa u got me pegged. I am a tailor for the last 30 yrs and u would be correct, that is exactly what we do. If it's a little off on the pattern we will fudge it later, no worries..lol I cut out my first Lisa Pay pattern last night and I pinned it and cut it and recheck just to make sure by just laying the pattern piece on top of the already cut pieces and found I needed to trim. So glad I just watched this video before I did anymore. As a tailor u really need to re-adjust your mind set. It's definitely is a different learning curve. Back to basics you r so right. You are really teaching me some new skills. It's true u can teach a old dog new tricks...🤔😉

This definitely helps a lot. I also need to sit a prep felt sheets I use the colors a lot of with Heat n Bond, and interfacing, that way when I need certain colors, I already have the felt ready, and just need to cut off whst I need.

Hi Esther, I have to be honest, I don’t keep tiny scraps unless they have Heat/Bond on the back, iI find them very useful for other projects. And my latest patchwork designs do make use of some of them!🥰

For the life of me I can’t seem to find any real medium weight WOVEN interfacing either locally in stores or online like Amazon. Even reviewers say the one Pelion brand of woven interfacing is very flimsy. I am wondering if it would be crazy to use the flimsy stuff twice as in fuse it to the felt once, let it cool, and fuse it a second time to the already interfaced side? I have made teddies etc previously, but I have learned of so many tips, tricks, sewing best practices for the little pieces here, that I hate to just go for it and end up disappointed. Any ideas?
Hi Laura, I’m in Australia and buy mine from an online supplier here, it is called Voodoorabbit.com I’m fairly sure they ship overseas? You could try doubling up on a scrap and see how that go’s. Or, you could create your own fusible interfacing using Fusible web and a similar medium weight cotton fabric. I hope this helps 🥰
