Really cool idea! My students are K-2, I think this might be a bit too tricky for them. Could you make a similar challenge using the melody instead of chords? Love your videos!
Absolutely. I really wanted to test the concept. Some students think this is easy work and others have been scratching their heads. I think it would be fun to do this with nursery rhymes and viral kids songs for the younger grades.
I feel ridiculous asking, but what song is being used from Encanto? I've watched the movie so many times because I love it, but it is the only one that really stumped me! :(
This is great! My students are gonna love a new challenge. Would you mind sharing which songs you used to represent each movie? I myself am having trouble figuring some of them out! Especially Coco, Zootopia, and Frozen!
Each class has been surprising me with the diversity of their knowledge. Kinder got The Little Mermaid today but sometimes the older kids get 3/10. I did the Nursery Rhyme song to make up for the difficulty of this video!
I had one student crush this guessing all the songs, whilst all the other students were guessing random stuff. It was hilarious! At one point, everyone (except the one student who got them all right) was saying : MOANA ! In hopes of landing on it by accident lol
Very clever! My students will love this! Thanks for the fun activity
Very clever, this will be a fun one to try! Thanks for your time making this and all of the other resources.
Just trying it out with my fifth graders. I see success but some difficulties. I definitely want to make another one!
My 3rd and 4th graders were insanely amped over this today! What a great activity!

I can’t believe I missed #8. Literally been listening nonstop because it’s competing in our March Music Madness tournament. Awesome idea!
Thank you!!!
This was awesome! Very engaging. After the first few my kids figured out how to listen and started getting them correct.

Coco - “Remember Me”
Zootopia - “Try Everything”
Frozen - “Let it go”
I just put all of the answers in the description.
Ms. GArcia's class got 9 points! Great vid, kids loved it!
I love that!
My 2nd grade class in WA State, got 3. They would love more videos like this. Thank you!
The hard mode version is coming out tomorrow. I have a request for easier melodies. How'd the difficulty sit with your students?
im from WA
Great idea, but it was too hard because the movies came from different decades. Very few of my students saw Little Mermaid and Hercules

Are the long notes rumbles??
Yes, students should play at a quick but not reckless pace for the long notes.
@@SwicksClassroom thanks!!

My class got 5!

I love that!

We're the missed songs because they were too vague? I'd love to sharpen up the experience.
