Lorenzo was one of my childhood favorite heroes as The Renegade. Also my Mom❤ had a crush on him too and always thought he was a great guy. Funny that we were both fans. Lol
Lorenzo Lamas is a great role model and an excellent martial artist. Also very good actor as well. By the way his father, Fernando Lamas, was an actor from my country who also worked in Hollywood. Excellent interview, Viking Samurai 🤺🙌👍👍
To Lorenzo Lamas, a really good man and an inspiration! I just got done watching all five seasons of Renegade. I'm an admirer of both Aikido and Tae kwon do, but I was only taught a little before I broke a finger on my left hand, and walked away. The rock musicians that do the sound for the show are the guys I play like, in fact I played along as I watched you do what you're great at. I've played guitar since I was 13, and I know you started on your journey early also. I related to you as someone about my age, and I found out your birthday put us less than a month apart, go figure! 1958 had some good people in it, and I'm proud to be in the group you're also a part of! God bless, hope I meet you someday! GO TRUMP!
I'm so happy to see him in such a good shape. It had always been a real pleasure to see him in movies. He was (and still is) a beautiful man, he was muscular and he showed very good martial arts skills. I'm so happy for him and I wish him the best.
Yes! 😃 Lorenzo Lamas i watched renegade as a kid religiously seen every single season episode back to back even re runs over again 😆 i loved it im a big fan even his movies loved all those to what a phenomenal actor and even seeing how he is in this interview what a all around great stand up guy a pure gentleman great interview Viking Samurai.
I was just thinking a few days ago and talking with my friend WTF happened to Lorenzo Lamas? We were both fans: he in the early 2000s I throught the 90s. And today, just out of nowhere, a video pops up in the feed by a youtuber I've never heard about my teen years hero :) The world (or google algorithm) work in te mysterious ways :) And to learn that he's the same cool guy you can still look up to and learn something? An icing on a cake! Cheers and all the best!
Awesome interview! There are a few actors that motivated me to learn to fight and Lorenzo Lamas is definitely one of them. I was born in '82 and I grew-up watching Bruce Lee, Renegade, Van Damme, Walker Texas Ranger, Cynthia Rothrock, etc. I miss them days. It's great to see Lorenzo, again! God Bless!🫡👍🏼
Great interview Viking Samurai! I remember Lorenzo Lamas from that great late 70's TV show; 'California Dreaming' Wow! i'm showing my age now! Lol! Love & respect, from the UK bro.
Great interview! Viking Samurai should try to interview Branscomb Richmond (sorry for the bad spelling) . He played Bobby Sixkiller in RENEGADE, Hard To Kill, Walker Texas Ranger, Showdown in Little Tokyo and many more. Amazing Native American actor!
I started out watching Walker and random action movies with my dad as a kid in the 90s. Some of the few good memories i have w him. Only today am I discovering Renegade and how good of a show it actually is. I saw your post on IG so I had to come check this out. Looking forward to all these interviews and thanks in advance
I always thought that Lorenzo Lamas was very underrated and could’ve been such a big star had he been given a chance to shine! Great memories from Renegade that show was cool to watch when I was a teenager! God bless you all in Jesus Christ holy and precious name I pray amen 🙏 keep up the good work Viking Samurai!!!
My mum loved him she was a black belt in judo back in the day she got me on to your channel that hook kick 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 she still watches it In your shorts ❤❤
VS NICE JOB Bro👍🏻 Finally the Interview with Lorenzo Looking forward to knowing data, Exclusive Stories Ancedotes... What good memories of the Movies of the 90'S and RenegadeI remember renting your VHS movies at the VideoClub in the 90"s and watching RENEGADO on Spanish Television in the afternoons... Greetings from 🇪🇸
32:28 the episode Lorenzo is referring to in addition to the fighting cage, which was the first two-part episode of the show released on video, the second one is murderers row parts, one and two. What’s interesting to know is with fighting cage, there were some additional pieces in that video release then are there on the DVD sets that were released by Anchor Bay in 2005 with the first three seasons being released, and then later in 2009 when the entire series was released by Mill Creek Entertainment. Millcreek entertainment would later release seasons one and two respectively as individual boxed sets.
Just saw Lorenzo's movie Night Of The Warrior (1991) here on You Tube and I really enjoyed it. Also, I saw the pilot episode of Renegade on here as well and I looking forward to seeing more of the show. I recall when Renegade and Highlander: The Series used to air back-to-back on USA network when I was a teenager, good times those were. Hope that more of Lorenzo's action movies come to Blu Ray in the near future.
I miss those days. And I must admit I was forgotten his movies. And now I see this video it’s all coming back. He is a good actor great martial artist and he is a verry nice guy something I didn’t know back in the days. Thanks so much for this amazing video. ❤
Thank you so much for such an interesting interview. He is a very cool guy, much deeper than the image that I had from him from other interviews...I loved him in The Renegade. ❤ from Chile
Supposedly, there is a final episode from season five which was never released. It was never released because each episode in and of itself was a standalone, where even if some where shown out of order, it wouldn’t have made too much of an issue back then when the show first aired, and then later when it went into syndication with the final season being aired exclusively on the USA network from September 1996 through May 1997.
I grew up a Lorenzo fan. Always admired his lack of being in the tabloids & his dedication to fitness. I mean look at the guy now! Barely shed sounds same & is clearly a classy decent humble human being
It’s really interesting hearing about how close you should get or need to get on certain action fight shots. It’s a balancing act where you want to get close for realism but not too close where you’d really hurt someone. Also different camera angles convey depth more realistically so that factors into the equation as well.
Thank you! I wished for that already 2 or 3 year ago in the commentary section. Did you know he had a fight scene in "Falcon Crest"? He executed a perfect sidekick. More lately he appeared in "Boone - Bounty Hunter" (almost a remake of "Renegade") as a guest star...
To the question about what Lorenzo Lamas movies should one start with or revisit. My recommendation would be Bounty Tracker. That’s one of my all time favorites of his.
Great interview Viking !! Lorenzo Lamas still looks great for his age !! Renegade great show in the 90’s I think he should have been in one of the expendables movies just for his legacy !! I also loved Walker Texas Ranger in the 90’s !!! Would you be able to get Chuck Norris on your channel soon??
My name is Reno Raines I used to be a cop. My name is Michael Westen I used to be a spy. Both of their characters were never fully vindicated it would be great for a reunion movie. They would work together saving their close friends were kidnapped and Reno and Michael work to save them. Burn Notice and Renegade were both on USA net work and they are both black belts. I think it would make a sensational movie and the ratings would go high.
I watched Renegade all the time back in those days. It was a great show. I would have liked to have seen Lorenzo team up with Gary Daniels for a Lethal weapon type show. That would've been awesome.
I live in Sacramento, and have played guitar at Thunder Valley many times, by the way. I think your wife said she REALLY liked the place, and I second that!
Pretty cool you now put out the full version. I watched the shortened version when it came out and am already half an hour into this one now. Lorenzo seems a really down to earth person. I loved when in one of your videos the Lionheart director mentioned Lorenzo as one of if not the most well-rounded movie martial artists and you expressed that this would not have been the first name coming to your mind but he insisted on it. I laughed hard at the character description: rides cool motorcycle, does martial arts, and got a shot gun which he still needs to figure out using from a bike - that‘s how you write good characters! 😂 I will enjoy the remaining part tomorrow.
@@VikingSamurai True! My memories messed that up. Thanks for clarifying. And yes I am basically a nighttime person I'm retired so that's why and it just so happens I fell asleep earlier and woke up at 1:30am. He's the reason why my nickname is Lorenzo Damato. That's how much I admire his movies. Great Interview. Keep on the great work.
Loved his movies ehen I was a kid. They're still.classics. Total badass.
His view on negativity is very good advice.
There was martial arts in falcon crest. I respect that he put his acting career on hold to earn and take care of everything important props
Good to see you again Lorenzo
Reliving my childhood over here :D Thanks so much for this interview
YESSSSSSS!!!! The jock in Grease. What a stud.
He dyed his hair blond and he barely had any dialogue in the film.
Great interview

To the question about what Lorenzo Lamas movies should one start with or revisit.
My recommendation would be Bounty Tracker.
That’s one of my all time favorites of his.
