amazing how countries like greece and turkey are still both using these aircraft, shows just how good it is
You forgot Iran which also uses the F-4 alongside the F-5
South Korea also operates the F-4E
@@PPSh.41 Didn't they retired theirs?
Japan still use the F-4
You forgot Erusea as well
Why the heck I don't remember that scene?
It was completely deleted from my mind...
you’re not imagining things, I don’t remember this being in there when I saw the movie in the theatre.
@@tdlf156 Interesting...
Maybe a deleted scene or sth...
I’ve watched this movie at least 3 times and I don’t remember this scene at all
@@tdlf156 i dont remember it either lol was it a deleted scene?
@@65stang98 i saw this scene
Hold on, they got it mixed up;
If your J79s are trailing smoke, you're good, if not, then RIP
it wasn't called "Old Smokey" for nothing.
Why do I not remember this scene. F4 E
Hello Johnny.
Many people (including me) don't remember watching this scene in the movie. I saw it yesterday, but nothing. Do you have an answer for it? Maybe a deleted scene?
Anyway, thank you for your uploads and videos. They're very interesting and entertaining
Wonder if they used a real F-4E for this scene.
Either it's real or the best damn CGI I've probably ever seen. The "animation" if we presume, is so ridiculously great that it's hard to imagine to be animation, the motions of the aircraft look natural as hell. I gotta watch the clip a few more times but my first impression is this. If this is all CGI it's WAY better animated than Top Gun 2 or Midway or really anything I've seen in my life.
Edit: Yep, can in no way be CGI even after second look. Wonder how the cockpit scenes were shot, those were probably trickshots in a sense, but this HAS to be real aircraft in the shots.
@@hunormagyar1843it is CGI brother. Half the movie was CGI. 🤨🫤
@@AgamTheShagamm I wonder how they did it cuz it's really that crazy. Musta been they filmed real aircraft of a random type at least, then uh "mapped" the look of F-4s over it in some way. No way the animators just went "yea let's animate some random planes flying". They knew their shit, one way or another. Never before have I ever seen something this good claimed to be CGI...
Maybe Top Gun 2's F-14 wasn't bad. Maybe these Phantoms look so good exactly for the same reason/method used in making the CGI.
İ heard that they used QF-4's in this movie in some scenes
@@hunormagyar1843 I believe they flew QF-4s here, the close up shots were filmed in a studio on a green screen
i honestly cant tell if this is real or CGI!! its either real or its the best CGI ever, its actually insane, it has to be real right?
It actually is real, QF4 phantoms!
I saw this movie😊
It looks like literally nothing is wrong with the bird lol
If only Sully had gone to Vietnam
Why does he keep calling him sir if they are the same rank?
Because he is the captain of the plane he is in charge
Inside that plane he is sir
@@northamericanintercontinen3207 There is ALWAYS a chain of command.
The F-4 was nicknamed the "flying bus". Was it beacuse it was as big as a bus?
Could probably be called flying brick as well. I heard they didn't have the best maneuverability, that they were "a brick with enough thrust to make it fly". Flying bus is probably the same thing; its "handling" felt "heavy" in the air.
@@hunormagyar1843 they were aircraft not specifically meant to dogfight, yet they proved more than a match against the MiGs in Vietnam. I watched a lot of Vietnam episodes from Dogfights.
@@kristelvidhi5038 Oh yeah, Dogfights... Back when History Channel was cool lol
@@hunormagyar1843 and it had the best finale of any doc ever; Dogfights of the Future.
@@kristelvidhi5038 Isn't that the one where they made a huge beyond visual range engagement between, initially, F-22s and different kinds of Sukhois (and I think also Rafales on the anti-US side fsr)? All started with a Coast Guard helo shot down, then it escalated from like an airborne... laser? EMP? thing being used on the "bad guys", the Raptors merging with their enemy to dogfight, futuristic B-1 Lancers providing BVR support to em, even anti-satellite and like idk hypersonic plane concept thingy, and Raptors covering F-35s on a bombing run amid some bad weather.
Idk lol it might be that I'm mistaking something else that's also a cool as heck future dogfight documentary - for what you said, but what I've seen, I could definitely imagine being titled Dogfights of the Future regardless. lol
