They later find out from the RP (who is not required to ID themselves) that he most likely is allowed to be there. The pastor still voluntarily chose to break the law. Used to work at a bar I don't think people realize how much alcohol that is. A Manhattan is only alcohol -- whiskey, vermouth, bitters. Not even ice. About 30% ABV, served pretty universally in a martini glass. So even if we guess very conservatively here, then he had about 10 fl oz of 30% alcohol, total. For comparison a shot is 1.5 fl oz of 40% alcohol. Not going to do the exact math here, but ballparking it 2 manhattans is about the equivalent of like 5 or 6 shots of liquor. The majority of people will be strongly buzzed if not drunk from that amount of liquor unless they are drinking very slowly or are heavy regular drinkers. And again my guess was conservative too, it is very likely his pours were larger than that and he had closer to 12-14 fl oz total.

You are correct especially since both parties who were argumenting had separated and left each other so there was no potential of harm or actionable threats. Also, I'm pretty sure the pastor's lawsuit was settled out of court while a secondary law suit is occurring as well.
The first pastor resisted arrest, evaded police, and disrupted peace, all of which are arrestable offenses yet everyone is forgetting those things somehow..... also the Pastor wasnt meant to be involved and he was the one who started it all, the Police were doing thier jobs and were disrupted for doing what they were told.

Police officers, as trained officials, are even expected to endure harsher verbal abuse than the average citizen. You can cuss in their presence, or even call them names, and it all falls under free speech.
Calling him a tyrant was the right of that person. He did *not* violate any laws. Arresting the pastor was thus *not lawful* and the police officer who did so, did not protect the law, which would be what his job is, but was actually the only person *violating the law* in this scenario, making them the criminal. That's certainly not, by any stretch of the imagination, "doing his job".
The first cop was SO WRONG for that. You can't arrest someone for being pissed at you.

They should be trained to keep their cool. Sure, the pastor is in the wrong for calling him a Tyrant, however, cops should still deescalate.
@@sebastianorye2702 Officers across the country ARE trained in de-escalation and to 'keep their cool'. However, *bad police exist which was shown in the video. People can feel aggression and their emotions get the better of them, not everyone is immune to that. Every encounter with police is considered dangerous and armed (because of the fact every cop carries*.) The image of an officer also helps create tension, the boots, the belt, especially the badge, etc. Modern day media representation of the police does not help either. I am NOT excusing the police in the first video by any means. People have egos and need better training to control them. Defunding the police also is not a valid excuse for bad police because the FIRST and EASIEST thing to 'cut' is funding for training programs and systems.

The pastor had the right to call them tyrants under the first amendment.. The police officer just straight up revoked his rights without a valid reason then proceeded to beat them up. Both the judge and the police officers should be put on trial, honestly.

Clearly you and the channel who uploaded this video know nothing about the law. There was hardly an investigation to be made in the first place, all you have to do is identify the subject and then verify that he is supposed to be there. Issue is, that when the officers gave the Pastor a lawful order to identify himself, he decided to refuse and in doing so he broke the law. They later find out from the RP (who is not required to ID themselves) that he most likely is allowed to be there. The pastor still voluntarily chose to break the law.
If I show up to a call where some people are fighting and I go to break it up and then the guys fighting punch me. I then later find out that they were messing around or whatever and nobody wants to pursue charges, still doesn't change the fact that they punched me and broke the law.

No it's very believable. I would estimate he weighed about 150 lbs... People bigger than him get drunk off of 2 manhattans all the time. All the time.
