9:59 most crooked judge I’ve ever heard of. They clearly broke the law by arresting this man and then directly afterwards admitted on Camera that he hadn’t committed a crime. Then they clearly conspired to make up a charge to cover up their own behind. The charge didn’t even make sense to charge him with failing to identify when he didn’t have to identify in the first place if the officer admitted there was no crime . Should’ve been an easy lawsuit to win.

In the state of Alabama the cops can demand for identification if you are under reasonable suspicion of criminal activity. The cops had reasonable suspicion because of a call from a neighbor who thought the man was doing something shady at the neighbors house. If you do not give the identification to the cops when they asked for it, you can be arrested. Fortunately the man did nothing bad at the house except that he did not show them his ID.

Police officers, as trained officials, are even expected to endure harsher verbal abuse than the average citizen. You can cuss in their presence, or even call them names, and it all falls under free speech.
Calling him a tyrant was the right of that person. He did *not* violate any laws. Arresting the pastor was thus *not lawful* and the police officer who did so, did not protect the law, which would be what his job is, but was actually the only person *violating the law* in this scenario, making them the criminal. That's certainly not, by any stretch of the imagination, "doing his job".

People can feel aggression and their emotions get the better of them, not everyone is immune to that. Every encounter with police is considered dangerous and armed (because of the fact every cop carries*.) The image of an officer also helps create tension, the boots, the belt, especially the badge, etc. Modern day media representation of the police does not help either. I am NOT excusing the police in the first video by any means. People have egos and need better training to control them. Clearly you and the channel who uploaded this video know nothing about the law. There was hardly an investigation to be made in the first place, all you have to do is identify the subject and then verify that he is supposed to be there. Issue is, that when the officers gave the Pastor a lawful order to identify himself, he decided to refuse and in doing so he broke the law. They later find out from the RP (who is not required to ID themselves) that he most likely is allowed to be there. The pastor still voluntarily chose to break the law.
If I show up to a call where some people are fighting and I go to break it up and then the guys fighting punch me. I then later find out that they were messing around or whatever and nobody wants to pursue charges, still doesn't change the fact that they punched me and broke the law.

It absolutely is protected by the first amendment, yes. It was an unlawful arrest. He has a right to yell w/e the heck he wants from the sidewalk and there's nothing they can do about it. However, even if they unlawfully arrest... you still can't resist or evade... you just have to wait for your day in court and then take the MASSIVE payday that the city or agency will ultimately settle with you on if you are in the right.

@@LezahTX Completely agree. On the other hand, perhaps a healthy republic is one in which those who abuse the power entrusted to them cannot simply do so without SEVERE consequences, and a passive response will rarely if ever achieve this. I wonder, at what point does our natural inclination towards passivity actually erode the foundation of our society? I tend to think the men who first erected the amendments, which should have protected these pastors, had the right of it. They weren't passive. They were willing to kill to secure those rights, and the men they were willing to kill would have hidden behind the same authority as the pigs in these videos. 6:29 - *_Pastor Jennings,_* arrested for 'watering flowers', highlights everything that is wrong with police, and why police are not trusted. They arrested him for "impeding government operations" by not identifying himself (which he actually did) ...while he was watering someone's garden?! I mean seriously, being a good neighbor is now considered suspicious activity? Last I heard, a person only has to identify themselves if they are suspected of 'criminal' activity, of which the specific criminal activity must be articulated by the police, and not just on general feelings of suspiciousness.

No it's very believable. I would estimate he weighed about 150 lbs... People bigger than him get drunk off of 2 manhattans all the time. All the time. Used to work at a bar I don't think people realize how much alcohol that is. A Manhattan is only alcohol -- whiskey, vermouth, bitters. Not even ice. About 30% ABV, served pretty universally in a martini glass. So even if we guess very conservatively here, then he had about 10 fl oz of 30% alcohol, total. For comparison a shot is 1.5 fl oz of 40% alcohol. Not going to do the exact math here, but ballparking it 2 manhattans is about the equivalent of like 5 or 6 shots of liquor. The majority of people will be strongly buzzed if not drunk from that amount of liquor unless they are drinking very slowly or are heavy regular drinkers. And again my guess was conservative too, it is very likely his pours were larger than that and he had closer to 12-14 fl oz total.

Yeah, the more you actually look at current day events, the more you notice how "freedom of speech" is just an illusion to give its citizens a false sense of pride and talk about things that suits the interests of the government (as well to brag about the great American freedom and use it as justification to invade othet countries) at this point nothing will convince me otherwise

No it isn't. He was just race baiting. The cops were right, just show your ID and it's all good. It's an unwinnable scenario for them, if they leave people alone and he IS breaking in (being a lookout for another guy breaking in) Then they didn't do their job, and get criticized/investigated. If they walk up to black people and question them, they are racists. Literally an unwinnable scenario.

I mean the cop was wrong in not letting him go and lying/trying to excuse what he did but the guy also was at fault. He says the officer is racially profiling him but the same thing would be reasonable regardless of race, there is a man with a hose in his hands (ok he may have been actually watering the plants but how does the cop verify that? (The guy could've picked that up when he heard them) he also wasn't willing to give his id, he said his name but how did they know he wasn't lying? Maybe by checking his id which he didn't let them do. He also said they were just trying to arrest him but if they really wanted that they could've done it moments sooner. Also if someone called saying there is an unown car and a person near the home of someone that was on vacation, the cop would probably expect that they were up to no good regardless of if they're white, black... But I mean if someone was at fault it was the neighbour, she knew who he was, that he lived next door...etc.
