So, Iceland is ranked the safest place in the world but it's about to lose its title because of people doing dumb stuff. 🙄

I‘ve been there a few years ago, exactly on that part of this beach, and YES, it is quite dangerous!!! But the landscape is phenomenal
Why stop people from getting the Darwin Award ! I saw a guy put his foot in molten lava setting his boot on fire.
Despite dangerous waves...still people visit for breath taking visuals
We get a similar phenomenon in north eastern and some other norther parts of Australia. At low tide the sands can be exposed for up to 5 kilometers away from the main sloping beach (high tide mark). It can stay that way for an hour or so and it is easy and common to walk out quite a distance. But, when the tide turns those kilometers of flat reaching sands become covered quite quickly and many people find them selves overtaken by the incoming tide and having to swim to get back to shore.
The waves carve the black pebbles so beautifully. And many such stormy ocean waves at many locations there. It has carved huge holes too. Basalt layered inlets. It has many sailors injured while fishing ?!?
This happns in nusa lembongan also I was almost swept away which after my parents didnt permit me to go near the waves apthere again.

is that the beach where this ice pieces get washed up and called diamond beach or is that anouther area..Iceland is extremely expensive because basically everything gets imported ive seen the outher youtube channels about 20 bucks for a frozen pizza or close to it money doesn't go far over there especially on food

They should tell tourists not to swim.
You don't have to go near the water or swim. Those big waves can run up over 50 to 100 meters of dry sand without notice.

@@cynthiagonzalez658 Here on Australias east coat the tide can go out showing up to five kilometers of flat sands. It nice to walk out on it, until the tide turns. 5 km is suddenly a long way to run when tide starts to come back in, and numerous people don't make it back.

They should require tourists to attend a seminar before going on the beach. OR, post the number of people who have died from said tides,& describe the tides. We stupid Americans have never heard of tides like that, except when there was an undersea earthquake, when the sea recedes to come back with a vengeance.😭🙏
@@cynthiagonzalez658 We do have a lot of public awareness campaigns and the tourist brochures give warnings plus public beaches in those areas have warnings. But that's what everyone reads after they get back, if they do. I don't think we have had many loss of life from it but it still a long way to get to shore with with water around your chest and sharks around your ankles. :)
