About Game:
Peter Jackson's King Kong is an action-adventure video game developed and published by Ubisoft, based on the 2005 film King Kong.
The game was created in collaboration between the film's director Peter Jackson, and game designer Michel Ancel.
The game allows players to play as both Jack Driscoll and King Kong. The King Kong segments are played from a third-person perspective, while human levels are played from a first-person perspective.
This game NEEDS a remake for ps5. One of the best game i’ve ever played.
If they did remake the graphics would be insane and they would make a ton of money if they make it just like this one I would preorder that in a heartbeat

This level in New York was so much fun I can't even tell you how many cars i destroyed, climbed the buildings, smashed everything in my way and saving Kong was the best part. Never got tired of it.
Kong NEEDED to be saved! He was just an animal in an unknown world, he doesn't deserve death
Imagine an open world Kong game where you can just destroy stuff all day and do missions and you choose between the city or skull island.
Peter Jackson confirmed that there were some parts of the game that didn't make it into the movie such as the Alternate ending in which would've been a happy ending but they chose to make it a sad one so they moved those ideas into the game instead.
okay when it's based in the original one where Kong always dies but in my third alternate one I still make Kong the hero when the scene was based on Jurassic Park when Carl choose to bring the vastosaurus Rex to New York too as part of his second Main Attraction.but instead the vastosaurus also breaks loose after seeing the cameras which allows Kong to escape by accident or mistake or on purpose. Then the vastosaurus start s wreaking havoc and chasing after darrows but Kong still saves the day and used these taxi cabs to throw it at vastosaurus. after that come defeated the monster and then he returns back to skull island.

What?! I never knew this, the alternative ending would have been a brilliant scene to put in the extended version or even in the bonus features. Pity we wont be able to see that as a film version, I still love Jackson’s take on King Kong but it would have made the film a little more unique than the previous remakes

The points needed is quite large, so props to you for the dedication
I know I’m pretty late but I didn’t even know you had to replay everything and getting a good enough score to get this ending! I remember picking up a book at my schools book fair with cheat codes for a bunch of different games spanning all the systems that were out at the time (ah, the good ol days) and I was surprised to find this game had a code to unlock this ending! I was so happy to save Kong, and that book became my best friend on many a play through lol. Geez, this game and remember that book and the book fairs really took me back, simpler times, dare I say better times. Now with the internet, you can look up the codes to be able to play this level if you have a system that can still run it. My Xbox one S (not series S) can still run the Xbox 360 port no problem but I’m sure you can find a pc rom to this game as well!

Goddamn when I was a Kid I thought King Kong was a beast the size of Godzilla this Game makes me see him like a ant compare to Godzilla
They made him alot bigger in the movie Kong Skull Island so quite frankly he's the same size as Godzilla :)

They change the sizes of both of those monsters for narrative purposes throughout the years.
1954 Godzilla was big compared to Kong 1933.
But if they had made Godzilla & Kong the competitive size scale as the beast from 20,000 fathoms (Also one of the inspirations for Godzilla) Kong probably would've killed Godzilla in an instant by breaking his jaws open like he does with the rexes because Godzilla is almost the equivalent of a t rex if they had chose to make him the size as Kong.
Great thing they hadn't. Godzilla would be weak & wimpy. With small arms. But he never will be because he's tall & strong. He never loses.
Kong is also intensively strong too. He wrecked & smashed those T rexes in like a boulder over a cave entry. When it comes to Kong don't get in his way. But Godzilla? He's got some skills too.
Time to time they intend to make both of them smaller, large any size scale. 1962 King Kong was approximately the same height as Godzilla because they figured the original Kong from 1933 was not big enough because of.. height scales. I wish King Kong vs Frankenstein could've been a thing but I can say Godzilla vs King Kong was the excessive film to be created in the hopes of great photography & film history to ever come out from Toho. & legendary pictures. The remake was bland & a little short. The original was great because it was a lot more screen time & story telling then the new one is. I like the movements on the original than in the new because they move way too slow. More fighting is involved with the old one then the new one.

From the start King Kong never was the size of Godzilla. So both in the 60's battle and in the modern rematch he needed a serious size buff.

The alternate ending should've been the canon, it'll perfectly tie in with Skull Island. Taking that route, Kong was just a toddler in this universe if ever.
King Kong in this universe was already a battle hardened old gorilla by the this point.

I cried as a kid when King Kong died in the movie, but this really eases the pain
So Jack should stay on the island too being a Murderer of over a dozen pilots...
he only overpowered them because he had no other choice. plus he already knows that Kong is harmless as long as Ann is with him.even though I wish she should have done that in the movie so he can become a hero for them but he did however kick one of those soldiers out of his way before getting inside the elevator.

I've only been able to get to where you're supposed to burn a bush where the long neck dinosaurs were crossing and your crew is like okay go by yourself and get some fire now and I'm like bitch you go by yourself fuc u lol this is definitely one of the few games I've ever played where I am too scared to play when I was like 12. Even at 24 I'm terrified to play it lol I'm okay with the game until the raptors and v-rexes are introduced lol played it on the PS2

I remember my friend playing this mission and when the airplane part came his older brother, who already played the game, told him it was pointless to fight off the planes because kong dies always in the end. I remember him spitfully trying to have kong live just for it all to be in vain.

What suck about the alternate ending is that Jack became a criminal for killing people who are just doing their job to protect the city, who know if their family miss them.

I wish this should’ve happened in the movie like Jack hitch a ride on the seaplanes to rescue Anne and kong From those dogfighters. Then later after he overpowered them with his machine gun after Kong realize one of them saved there lives.they climb down there Safely and then hit you ride at the boat where he must be returned back to skull island where he will remain safe.
The alternative ending would have been better if it happened in the film , they call off the airplanes , Kong climbs back down the Empire State Building and they sedate him and ship him back to where he lives

I was a little disappointed that there were only three New York levels. Also aside from the altered ending you don't play as Jack in any of them. But still pretty good.

Man, Ubisoft Montpellier really makes high-quality games compared to their other Ubisoft counterparts (other great games of theirs include the Rayman series, Beyond Good & Evil, and Valiant Hearts: The Great War).

This was honestly one of the best ps2 games ever and it was also better than the film. this soo needs a remaster can you imagen how much better it would look if it was made today?
Yeah i remember when i saw it first time around 2005-06 i was blown away by graphics and gameplay. And till this day it is one of my favorite games ever.

How to unlock this ending ?
To unlock the alternate ending, you must complete the entire game and then go back and choose extra map from mission menu. It can also be accessed by using the cheat codes. :)

I always thought that a prequel to the 2017 Kong film where you'd play as a young version of John C Reilly's character and a young Kong would have been a great successor to this game.

How did you get the game to work I tried on multiple windows 10 laptops and PCs the game just keeps giving the starforce error I have the original disk it keeps saying starforce works on windows xp/me/2000 even with comparability mode on

An alternative ending becomes available after completing the game and earning enough score points. Afterward, you can access level replays, go to the end, and choose this alternate ending to play.
