    Excellent tutorial! Very interesting about the design change; with the specific information being clear and thorough, making the project repeatable. Good options for some parts. Thank you very much!👍

    FYI, when googling for the GPU cable for a R720, your videos are about this only thing that gets kicked back (other than sales links). I've watch both so far but what I really need is a pinout map of the original dell cable. Any chance you could make that pinout diagram and maybe put it in the description? (specifically I need the pinout of the 6 pin to power a Quadro P4000)

      @@Brandon_Behnen if the P4000 uses PCIe power any of the random R730 GPU power cables for sale online should work just fine. Just make sure they have the jumper wire on the riser side if you want to be able to use it in a R730 down the road.

    Hello, thank you very much for your videos, really interesting and clear. I am trying to install a Tesla M60 on my Poweredge R730, and I came across the powering issue. I ordered all the parts to try making your cable - because I am in the UK - and while waiting I checked the pins of the M60 with a meter. I actually saw that one of the ground pins (the n°2) is not shorted with the other ground pins. I had a cable already that was sold as "Tesla to R730" power cable, that unfortunately did not work, that actually connects this pin (the n°2) with the -3.3V of the Riser (this cable does not have any loop). Not sure why. Did you by any chance, came across the same thing with your GPUs? Thank you very much for your super helping videos!

      @@giacomocorucci4112 it's been a while since I have pinned out the GPU but I think I do recall that not all the ground pins on the GPU are tied together. When testing I found it didn't really matter how the connections went on the Tesla side as long as ground went to ground and 12V went to 12V.

    you've explained the process so clearly! how did you create the graphic? did you have a template or did you create from scratch?

    • @computersales
      @computersales  Рік тому +1

      Stole the images from a google search then used MS paint and highlighters. 😆

    What is the part number on the official Dell wire?

    • @computersales
      @computersales  Рік тому +1

      I'd have to double check, but I believe it is N08NH. That would do riser to dual PCI express 6+2 pin though. I don't believe there is an official Dell riser to EPS 12V cable.

      @@lorddaim no this cable won't work with GeForce cards like the 2060.
