4:31 Ozpin deserved so much better than the cards he was dealt. Not only did he have to deal with everything we saw in V6C3, he got completely exposed by people who didn't (and arguably still don't) understand just how problematic of a situation he was/is in. He's trapped by his own mistakes and shortcomings, and almost everything he's tried to get some sort of an advantage over Salem has either failed or backfired sooner or later. And while it may have been in the heat of the moment, RWBY got (rightfully) angry that he'd lied, kept such important secrets, and betrayed their promise, yet seemingly glossed over how hard he's fought for humanity for so long. With that and Qrow's anger and regret for having ever trusted in him, Oz's insecurities and traumas were magnified and put in the spotlight. But the worst thing? Ozpin sees all of this as his fault. And he's right: none of this would've happened if he didn't accept the God of Light's offer, if he didn't lie to Salem, if he didn't betray Salem, if he didn't send Summer to her death(?), if he didn't enlist the help of Qrow, if he didn't give the Maidens their powers, if he didn't scout Pyrrha to become the Fall Maiden, if he didn't perform the actions that led to Hazel losing his sister, if he didn't hide the truth for so long, and if he didn't try to take responsibility for humanity and attempt to fix all of its problems. Since all of it was because of him, his anger, sadness, regret, disappointment, and hatred doesn't really have anywhere to go but at himself. And it's not like he can just go away and stop existing, because that would be not only cruel to the soul he's bonded with, but basically impossible, since he'll just reincarnate again and again. It's a wonder that he's not completely, irreparably broken by now. I really hope he gets the understanding and respect he deserves in a future Volume.

Also fair warning, but this is where I also proceed to ignore the idea of censoring myself, for effect... Also, there's a bit of a wall to read, but hey, if you want to have a valid argument? I suggest reading it so that I don't have to point out shit I just got done saying or shit that I've already referred to as evidence.
Now granted, they at least played it off in an acceptable manner in Volume 7, but that doesn't really explain how the hell they got to that point in the first place with no canonical - and I mean CANONICAL AS IN PRIOR TO THE "SHIP HAVING SAILED" - evidence of them ever having any legitimate attraction to each other, any further than treating each other as VALUED MEMBERS OF A TEAM LIKE THE OTHERS IN SAID TEAM. Also, Volume 6 does not count, because of how the story writing took an absolute nosedive in the final portion of the season, which has been reviewed by MULTIPLE members of the community that are ACTUALLY RESPECTABLE.
And now, before I hear ANY SJW bullshit about "Booooo, anti-LGBTQ!", you can piss right off, I am actually all for it. If that's the way you want to go about it, best of luck to ya. If anything, it's respectable especially given how it is often opposed. If you're actually willing to take those odds, all the more power to you, okay? HOWEVER. That is NOT what makes LGBTQ ships canon. That much resides in the CHARACTERS INTEREST IN EACH OTHER, not the COMMUNITY'S interest in seeing them together. And quite frankly, I have not seen any factual evidence to even begin to imply this. Sure, both have had CONCERNS for each other, in terms of SAFETY AND WELLBEING, not "Oh shit! I need to protect this person above all else!" Hell, we even have CANON IMPLICATIONS they both have a liking towards MALE CHARACTERS. I understand that this much should be all the more reason to get those teeth bared on me, but hear me out before y'all go "Dark Side" on me. If you can't do THAT much, then by all means, *only skip the next two paragraphs*, but don't come crying to me with excuses, because I address them in said paragraphs.
For Yang, we get a direct implication that she DOES have interest in the male figure, which is in the SECOND EPISODE when they're all getting ready to spend the night all in one room (I forget if it was the lobby or the cafeteria...). Do I even need to quote what I am referring to when one can VERY EASILY find this to begin with? I WILL, however, make it a point that there IS the possibility that she could very well have grown to be relatively disinterested due to... You know what, I'm just going to refrain from actually saying any of that stuff because it disgusts me as much as the next guy, so I'm just gonna call it "shenanigans". ON THE OTHER HAND, while this may have the POTENTIAL to be implied, we never actually see any of this actually happen, nor do we see her actually have actual interest in other female characters prior to Volumes 6 and 7 - OUT OF NOWHERE, mind you - and do I even need to explain how THAT came about? No. I don't. Why? Because the Volume 2 arc was mostly about how Blake was in a rough patch because of insane amounts of self-imposed stress and Yang literally just so happened to relate enough to be the one to help her out of that stress, AND NOTHING ELSE. "But they shared a dance though!" Yeah? And? Again, Yang was literally doing all that stuff to get Blake out of a rough spot, and she had the most reason to out of the team for obvious reasons. Ruby, for instance... literally only related in terms of liking books. That's- That's literally it, they both like books. Weiss, on the other hand, still had trust issues towards Blake, so SHE wasn't going to be up for it in the first place. Need I say more?
And then there's Blake. Ohhhh, where do I start with HER... *ahem*... Let's start with Sun, shall we? We very clearly see that he had caught her interest from the get-go. Maybe it was spur of the moment, I don't care. Why? Because she then decided to BUILD on that interest, unlike how the "relationship" with her and Yang somehow "starts up", as we have seen consistently through the future Volumes up until they part ways in Volume 6. All of a sudden, it's as if the community somehow convinced Rooster Teeth "HEY! WHY AINT SHE WITH NO ONE ANYMORE?" and so they rope in Bumblebee or some shit. Strike that, not only do they rope in Bumblebee, they SHOVE IT IN OUR FACES. Fanservice? more like "Take your shit and get the fuck out of our faces so we can FUCKING BREATHE." Though let's be honest, Rooster Teeth did go on a bit of a decline after Gen:Lock ended its first season. Hell, they declined in everything else PRIOR to Gen:Lock BECAUSE they were putting so much into it, INCLUDING the "teaser" of having a giant mech in the end of Volume 6 for literally no other apparent reason, so they made one up because why the fuck not. Oh yeah, and need I remind you all of her one canonical experience with a lesbian character that had interest in her? You know, the one who was apparently HER CHILDHOOD FRIEND BEFORE BEACON? Oh right, more than likely, because she doesn't actually get much of a part in the story except some level of inconvenience during Volume 5. I WOULD resume this with talking about ADAM, buuuuuuut I think that part speaks for itself, honestly...
Long story short, they are by no means LESBIAN. If they actually had interest in other females, then they are Bisexual "at best," if that's even the right way to phrase it... I don't really know how one quantifies preference, so do feel free to explain that one to me if anyone has an answer to that... That being said, preference aside, I say this again... It doesn't mean jack shit. It really doesn't. Not because it's questionable, not because it's distasteful, not in the slightest. It doesn't mean shit because there is no factual, canonical evidence to support any of it except for the "It just IS" at the end of Volume 6, and THAT - by the way - is literally the shittiest way to explain literally anything, ESPECIALLY in storytelling. I mean look at how that went for the Star Wars sequels, come on, now...
I apologize for the rant over some stupid joke, but the way it was phrased was clearly worded offensively towards those against the Bumblebee ship, and as someone who tries to be REASONABLE... Well, I have to be honest, I found it distasteful for it to have that kind of approach. Sure, maybe it could have just simply been worded better, but welp, can't change the past, now can ya? Also, good lord is this wordy, but in all fairness, this IS considered a very touchy subject, so it only makes sense to at least get ALL of the argument out there before it becomes a shitstorm, you know what I mean? I've literally gotten banned from groups solely because I happen to not support a non-canon ship while admins just so happen to support it anyways, so let's not be calling ME the biased one here, okay? It was much more than just holding hands, tbh. But i didn't forget any of it either. It's just that the few moments between her and Sun and then Sun and Neptune at the beginning of the first episode of the volume made it pretty clear that BlackSun never happened nor will. They're just friends. And yet Sun *does* have feelings for her, she only see him as a friend, and he understands that. He even said it himself, it was never about that (him getting with her). It was about being there for her when she needed.

Sun was there for Blake in Volumes 4 and 5, but that's about the end of it. Blake and Yang's arcs have been intertwined with each other since Volume 3, and they had the big moment of Burning the Candle back in Volume 2.
