Shiota needed Shikigami to balance her out. She was too Cold and indifferent, which was meant to keep other boys away, but honestly had the opposite effect. But she knew she wanted to be with Shikigami, so it was inevitable, especially when she feared Usami might steal him away. Now he can help her be more open, while still maintaining boundaries. Though, he's gonna have to be more careful around other girls, as she's a little possessive with him. Hope things work out for them!

First of all, this episode was almost 30 minutes long. If I'm not mistaken, this is the longest Kanon episode that isn't a compilation. And for almost half an hour, I enjoyed every single second of it! Incredible job as always!

I think Yamato is a cool character. He definitely doesn’t let Iona his childhood friend push him around. Honestly I felt bad for Usami but she was right when she said Iona was lying to herself and what that she realized Yamato might be taken away and decided to take action. I think Yamato was concerned about her attitude and was trying to get her to be more open. But tbh Iona never showed any signs of liking Yamato. She was just clingy to him all the time and now that they’re dating her clingyness can become a problem. Yamato has to be careful around other girls. Iona is very possessive and her possessives can lead to her becoming you know what. Fun fact: Iona is the name of the university I attend

Honestly, I don’t really like stories like these where the girl is very dismissive of the MC for most of their lives, but when a girl, who is basically the pinnacle of perfection for the MC comes into the mix, then, and only then, does the first girl actually do something. At that point, nah, I’m going for the new girl, at least she was honest from the jump.
At least Iona treat Yamato with kindness and sincere.

Iona is a walking red flag she thinks that since she is childhood friends with yamato that automatically makes him hers and the fact she is very clingy to him and she acts jealous when other girls get close to him like usami but then usami thinks she doesn't want her to get close to yamato because Iona likes him and thinking she is jealous she acts all tsundere and doesn't admit she has feelings for yamato also she puts up a front not showing signs she has feelings for yamato but it's not until usami shows up and genuinely likes him, also hate female characters childhood friends who thinks the guy already knows how she feels like he is a mind reader so she doesn't have to show her feelings towards him, if you like him tell him instead of just acting like he should know already you like him, also I think yamato should have ended up usami at least she shares her feelings openly unlike Iona also poor yamato wasn't given much of a choice but to date Iona in the end since she kinda forced him all so she can gain more friends like he wanted for her to do, so don't know about this story.

This feels like a whole episode today. Both of them seem pretty cold but i hate how she was complaining about the MC not noticing her feelings from the beginning but when he got that i literally thought he was gonna have to fight a group a dudes up on the building but this one girl was actually waiting for him but at least it was a group of guys waiting for him but anyways I'm glad they are finally together now as a couple (well cold couple) but anyways thank you for this 2nd upload kanon!

It's understandable why Iona doesn't trust any man, yet acts so normal around Yamato. And it was thanks to her acting normal to him that Iona managed to become a couple with him. Now all she needs to do is watch Miku very closely so she doesn't steal her man.
the slow is strong with this one! my at the time girlfriend and fiance wanted to be able to talk and hang out with any number of guys, some of which that were some bad dudes, but if a girl smiled at me as we walk past on the sidewalk she would be in a bad mood for days constantly asking me who that was and did I sleep with her?! I really should have paid more attention to the warning signs😢! And sorry for the poor grammar and punctuation but Google audio typing must be having a really bad day full of mistakes and two to three seconds behind!
I don't think any other girl is going to have a chance with the MC because he just isn't into romance and he is with the FMC because she kept love bombing him and he already cared about her as a childhood friend. Are you telling me that if a childhood friend that's the same age as you, clinged like that to you every day, blushed red in her face and all and acted the same way as Iona does towards Yamato, you wouldn't feel any romantic feeling from it? IDK if I'm living in some other universe, or if something changed in society or is it because I mostly hung around girls when I was younger, but in what world are her cues towards the MC not signs of romantic interest? I'm a nobody, a loser who hasn't had an actual IRL conversation with someone in years by this point, and if a woman suddenly started approaching me as Iona does, I sure as hell wouldn't interpret it as she just wants to be friends, but as she's romantically approaching me.
I don't wanna take this as an example of how women act, but whenever a guy clearly states that they can't date because their mindset isn't there, do girls really say, "Do you hate me?" I"m like "BRUH! What, precisely, did I say to make you wonder if I hate you?" And then I just get angry.

I swear these Female main characters are starting to get annoying with how much they say it the MCs' faulties for not realizing there feeling and think that calling the MCS' idoits really help there chances with getting with the mcs' and then think just becasue there the MCS childhood friend or that knowing the MCS more then another girl that the MC should be with them.
Just cause your the MCs' childhood friend or know him better doesn't mean he is yours. We men are not women property just like how women are not men property.
Both genders are at fault there no denying that but there has to be time when one of genders has to admit there wrong and apologize.

Edit: OK, just finished watching it (after pausing and playing the video for an whole hour...) , and It's all fine and dandy that they ended up together, but only after Iona literally had to pour out her whole heart to Yamato for him to finally understand.

Okay I can’t believe I’m saying this: But I am almost completely on Shiota’s side in this one.
And I hate Shikigami almost to a fault.
He says he can’t always be around to protect her as if dropping everything with what you’re doing right now to rush in and save is next to impossible.
Shiota is clearly giving obvious hints to him that she like him.
Because 1. If she is cold towards other people while she is with him in public, but very sweet and affectionate when they’re alone together, isn’t that an obvious sign that she likes him?
It’s called removing your “Persona”.
But Shikigami is so annoying dense down to a fault it drives me crazy.
Also he couldn’t even let down that other girl gently at least?
Also for a guy who tells Shiota to stop being so cold toward other people and make other friends, he really doesn’t seem to practicing he’s preaching.

While she tells him to not cheat on her when he clearly isn’t, I can let the first time slide because she is clearly very suspicious of that other girl because 1. Shikigami literally knows nothing about and he doesn’t seem all that wary of her-and if that scream massive freaking hypocrite than I don’t know what does, and she is also in the right to suspect because she doesn’t know her and is very protective of him. And 2. while it was wrong of her to get a little heated at her, Shiota was completely in the right to be wary of her.
Like seriously blondy is a total stranger to them, and while she seems nice and says she has no bad intentions, you still know nothing about her and because of that she might have some bad manners or the like. And while I don’t assume that kind of stuff with someone in real life it’s still better to be safe than sorry.
And while she did that agin the second time it did come off as rude and such but you still can’t expect her to instantly trust that girl while still knowing literally nothing about her.
And while she should try to get to know her, it’s up to her when she decides when or if she wants to do that.
You can’t force someone to instantly trust someone.
Especially when Shikigami is so nonchalant with her.
At least have some sort of guard up around her and respect Shiota’s feelings man!
And finally while Shiota did put in an honest effort to try to make friends with her other classmates, it’s gonna take some time for her to truly change her attitude and to trust people.
And you can’t just keep forcing that into her.
It’s up to the individual to choose their pace on how they want to change their ways and how they make friends.
And not only that: Shiota has every right to make friends in her own way.
Not all people make friends in the same way.
Some take it slow to get know people and hang out with them.
Others become friends by playing games with one another.
And some have special “little” quirks on how they want to make friends because that’s how they like to do it.
So don’t tell her that’s not the proper way to make friends because 1. She doesn’t know how to properly communicate with people and clearly doesn’t know how to go about so she can only do this at her own leisure.
And 2. It’s okay if she makes mistakes from time to time, that’s how she’ll learn and adapt and find her own way on how to do this.
Not everyone is gonna be perfect at this sort of thing and they’ll need to under a lot of trial and error for them to learn on the how, what, when, or why and it’s up to her on how she develops.
And finally just one last thing before I’m done.
