▬ ABOUT THIS MATTRESS VIDEO ▬
Helix vs Nectar - #1 Mattress Review Guide (UPDATED). In this video, JD who is a Certified Sleep Science Coach, covers our updated Nectar vs Helix mattress comparison. These two bed in a box mattresses get grouped together quite a bit due to their similarities but they also have a few key differences as well. Although both companies offer multiple different models, JD primarily focuses on the flagship beds. Helix Sleep offers many different mattresses thanks to their Helix sleep quiz. Some of Helix Sleep's line of beds include Helix Dusk, Helix Dawn, Helix Twilight, Helix Sunset, Helix Plus, Helix for Kids mattress, and their lineup of Helix Luxe mattresses. Nectar also offers two other mattresses, Nectar Premier, and the Nectar Premier Copper. JD talks about how the Nectar mattress and the Helix mattress stack up against each other in terms of feel, firmness, and construction. He also talks about whether side sleepers, stomach sleepers, back sleepers, or combination sleepers will like these bed-in-a-box mattresses. Thanks for watching this Helix vs Nectar mattress comparison. Hopefully, it helps you decide whether to go with Nectar or Helix or whether Helix is better than Nectar.

My pick is the Helix for the pocketed coils and durability. Thank you for the great video!

I would like to know does anything change after you put on a mattress protector and sheets like the cooling of any bed?

I got a nectar and. It was an awful experience.
I waited about a month without the bed due to shipping issues.
Once I started sleeping on it I got worst shoulder pain and lower back pain.
It ended up getting a permanent dip as well.
I could never lay on my back cause I’d feel the unevenness and focus on that until I switched to my back.
A year and a half later I had to switch it for a new nectar. It was a new version and 1-2 inches taller. I hoped I loved it.
Back pain and shoulder pain eased up a lot but the main problem still happened.
You sink way too much. So if you toss and turn you wake up way much because it’s a struggle. Plus you’ll feel your previous dip in the bed since it expands slowly.
Plus the sides dip so much is your sitting up.
I use the edge of my bed to play games and it’s sooo soft.
Or sitting near the head board is hard as well cause you just sink.
Nectar is cheaper. But a hybrid is better.
Nectar is good for super light people, they say 130-250. But honestly I’d say the cutoff weight is actually 160-170. Unless you know you love sinking into memory foam and you don’t move.
My mom has a helix for the last 5 years and now I’m switching to that today.
Midnight or midnight luxe is my last decision to make.
Getting a helix from a guy who gets returned beds for reasons like it’s too firm from a company. And sells them far cheaper.
The the midnight is 350 and the luxe is 450.
They were returned cause they were too firm within the time window. So used for 60 days or less.

Any update on the helix? Have you liked it more than the nectar? Also, I don't know where that guy is located, but if he's interested, I'm also looking to return my Nest Alexander Signature mattress. Build quality is excellent, has a pillow top, but as I learned too late some of these ultra supportive beds are best for heavier folks, and I'm a light side sleeper, so it's been rough even after I switched it for the softer foam (though they just sent me a replacement soft foam layer, and I'm curious if that's the same as if I got the plush mattress, not to mention they charged me for it)

I'm looking for a mattress, I'm 120 lb and have neck issues. I would like a soft mattress. What would you suggest. I would also like an adjustable base.

Did the Nectar Hybrid not exist at the time of this recording?

I bought the Nectar three months ago. I’m a combination sleeper. The mattress is a quality product that sleeps cool. I would like one just a little softer for side sleeping.

Which nectar did you get? I’m looking into them and want a softer feeling one for side sleeping so don’t want to make same mistake

@@HarrisonMeacham, I bought the original Nectar. I’d recommend either the Premier or the Copper if you want a softer feel.

@@philipbaldwin2078I have a Copper Premier Nectar Hybrid and its really stiff.. I went to a showroom that has all the web mattresses for trial, and the Helix Midnight Luxe or Helix Dusk Luxe seems to be WAY softer. Not sure if that's just because of the pillow top, but when I laid on the Nectar Premium Copper Hybrid the thing was CRAZY stiff in comparison.

I have a 6 year old Helix mattress that has developed black mold. I used a waterproof mattress cover and live in a very dry environment. I expect more out of a company like Helix. They refused to remedy the situation. Do not buy!

Dont buy a memory foam mattress. They are prone to developing black mold.
