Next SOS Band song: JUST BE GOOD TO ME 🔥
And you know this, maaaannñnn!!!!
Yes
Yes but the version for sure!!
Yesssss!!!!!
Love this one.🌞
This song would play in the rinks and there'd be some serious rexing and groovin' going on.
All lot of people didn’t know. What rexing was! I do it was fun !
👏👏👏😁
"Rexers ONLY on the rink right now!"
Absolutely!! Loved it!!
Oh definitely the roller skating song!!! 💜
Songs longer than 3 minutes were quite common.. folks love to dance, more importantly dance together. At the clubs, rinks, house party, it was all about the jam and killing the dance floor. 100% party song
Yes! Jesse, u nailed it!
Dancing, skating, sweating 🥵! Lol 😆 “Back in the day!” A short song was uncommon!
“What❓that’s it❓ it’s over❓We was just getting our groove on!
Anyone remember Roger & ZAPP at the rink or dancing to them at a party?
(“More Bounce”) 💃🕺No wonder, I was able to wear spandex back in the 80’s ❗️
LOL 👻
Yesssss
And EVERYBODY knew HOW to dance. The girls/ladies were insane back then. So many moves, different steps, in unison. You didn't really get turned downed to dance. Even slow dancing. Everybody loved slow dancing. WTF happened???
Dance together yes, songs so long you smoke 3 cigarettes on one song
SOS band was one of the best bands during my high school years! Now check out “Just be good to me”

Ahh this song reminds me of my mom and my aunts dancing at every family party lol
Yup! Your Mom and Aunt’s are my age! I’m So. Cal we used to do Soul Train line’s too!
This was def the era of the "extended dance mix". Ooooooh yeah!
Yesss!! Song could last almost 10 minutes.. and you’d stay on the floor!!!
Shame that the youth literally can't hold their attention for more than 2 and a half mins🙄
Uhkaay !!! Give me sooooome !!! 👊
Classic skate rink song … memories!
Yes.
One day you should also listen to the group/artists
Shalamar- for the lover in you

Yes… and “A Night to Remember.”
💯💯💯
At the club:
Take your time: 7mins
Knee deep: 15 mins
Flashlight: 10 mins
Three in a row 🥵 can't sit
😂😂😂😂
The 70's funk music was the absolute best. I'm so glad that I was able to go to the clubs and dance my ass off with my friends. BEST MUSIC EVER!!! 😁. We love y'all!!
Brass Construction, Kool n the Gang, James Brown, Parliment Funk, Boostzilla, Instant Funk, early Earth Wind & 🔥 plus the Isley Brothers 3+3!!!! Yeah, the Funk of the 70's can never be duplicated
OH i miss those days.
Gotta love the ladies of disco
Another banger and winner! Brings me back to my disco days. I use to blast that on my car stereo. This song and Evelyn Champagne King’s song Shame are lonnnnnng and it was hard to stay on the dance floor because those songs worked ya!
I'm requesting that one! Evelyn Champagne’s song Shame
It's
"Evelyn Champagne King".
I'm In Love by Evelyn Champagne King was my jam too.
@@marshill3101 You're adding unnecessary letters. It's Evelyn "Champagne" King.
@@feliciasanders2066
I know, those were accidental typos.
I have since gone back edited and corrected my post. Believe me, I of all people know it's
Evelyn Champagne King.
That's my girl.
“Tell Me If You Still Care” - S.O.S Band ❗️another good one!❤️🔥😊
One of *my* faaves⭐️
The best. I wore the grooves off this vinyl.
This is my favorite of theirs
Definitely one of my favs!!!
Mine too!
Such a good jam and Monica did an awesome cover on her first album back in the 90s
Oh man…I used to dance to this. There was a club in my neighborhood that was open from 2 am until 5 am…Duke’s till Dawn. They had a great liv band that did all the popular songs live. This was one of their best numbers!
Yes, I was jamming back in the day
Yes Gurl!❤️
Today we call that "the after hour" lol 🥳🥰
Get it Barb! lol 😉
I love this guy's 💗. You all are getting into our ol' skool jams. They have been entertaining us since I was a teen. I'm in my 50's & this is still a classic 💯.
Me too! Our old skool is on Fire 🔥
I’m ready for “Early in the Morning” 🐓 by the Gap Band!
@@d.sepulveda7669 Daz Band bilBev Devoe?
This song is the reason we were skinny back in the day!!! Dance to this a couple of times a day, and there is your cardio for the week!!! #FabulousFifties 💯💯😊😊
Lol...yup!! Have nightmares about dancing so hard the first 10 minutes of a song and praying it would be over soon so I wouldn't have to embarrass myself by running out of gas.🤨 😳😱😂❤️
IKR!!! LOL I was gassed after dancing to it today!!🤣🤣
Wish we had clubs for the young adults. I remember being at the after hour clubs when bars closed at 2; and before I was 21, there were clubs you could go to and dance your ass off. Too many Young people now sit around just smoking weed - get the blood pumping and the good vibes.
@@angieparker8473 LOL...😂😂😂😂😂
For sure!!!
This was one of the baddest groups of the 80's. They had some major hits. They were Jam and Lewis' first major success before Janet Jackson. Good reaction.
Summer of 1977 🌞
The reason they got fired from the Time!
Uhkaay !!!
Prayers for Mary Davis who is having health issues.
I had forgotten how much fun we used to have to this!
This will always be my jam. 🎶🎤🎶
"don't stop the music" yarbrough and Peoples, another 7 minute + song from that era worth listening to :)
I’ve been trying to get them to listen to that song for over a year!! I’ve never seen anyone else recommend till now. My favorite song! We’re friends now!
Mos Definitely! “Just because it’s 2 o’clock don’t mean we have to stop, don’t stop the music”
“Shake Your Pants” from Cameo is another monster bang but y’all will cut on their costumes though. It was the Seventies though
LOVE IT
Omg, I forgot about that song! Love it!
Thank you. Feel good extended dance version. The band groups from the 70’s and 80’s. Parliament, Ohio Players, The Barkays, Shalamar, Kool and the gang, Earth Wind and Fire,
I grew up a white kid in the Midwest. However, I grew up in a predominantly black neighborhood. So, these groups you’re listing are the ones I grew up with too! I would throw in some Cameo, and Gap Band as well. I didn’t discover Led Zeppelin, or The Who until I was in my 30s. Then, in my 40s I discovered my current favorite genre, Yacht Rock. I love watching these young men discover the music from my youth.
If you love this song, you’ll love
Dance Floor by Zapp, Call Me by Skyy, Ghetto Life by Rick James or Let It Whip by the Dazz Band.
A big yes to all of those!
Oh yea!
Oh now we talking
Definitely Dazz Band..
LET IT WHIP🙌 🤠➰🙌
Start of a Romance by Skyy
Oh you guys just took my old ass back to being a teenager😂😂 LOVE SOS!!!! If you get the chance try their Just Be Good to Me...love it💜💜💜
Gotta throw this one out there -- Eddie Murphy, "Party All the Time"
Honey I danced to it in the day. It's a dance song.
Oh yeah, with Rick James! 😄
I shake my head every time I hear that song .. it's good and all, but in my head I just hear Eddie laughing & laughing & laughing....
Can't shake it!
Hi guys! :)
The reason why they used to make such long extended versions of songs like this was because clubbing at the discos and dancing was such a huge thing. Artist made very long songs that would keep people on the dance floor for a long time. And when you're enjoying the song and dancing so hard, you'd be surprised how short a 7 to 10 minute song can seem. You know the saying, "Time flies when you're having fun".
I also know back then they use also do songs for almost 15 minutes as well and I love songs that are long and enjoyable
This was the song of that summer! We all wore it out!
Yes...the summer of 1980!
House Parties were the thing. We danced all night long to these 7 to 12 min songs 😁
This was 1 of my favs to dance to in the disco in 1980. Great memories!! Try Funkin for Jamaica by Tom Browne. 💃
YES!!! I remember I was asleep and left the radio on and the horns came throw the air way...why I wake up dancin' 🤣🤣🤣💯💃
Yes, YES, Y-E-S !!!!!
If you love this song the way I do, you'll take a listen to the Bob Baldwin Tom Brown collaboration version. Very jazzed up. Also a winner.
NO!!!! Thighs high by tom brown is my personal favorite!!!❤🎶
@@freddygigliotti7214 really better than Jamaican Funk OK !!! I'll check it out🤔😒
We partied hard on the dance floors to this. Hearing it again and watching you react to it makes me wanna jump up and dance!
One Nation under a groove Funkadelic. Must listen too.
Yaaaaaaas! SOS Band has hits! Please listen to all of their music! Also listen to so more Teena Marie
yes fo sure,
can't go wrong with any teena marie song
Uhkaay !!!
SOS Band & Gap Band have been in the background of upcoming artists and became hit songs. GAP Band singer Charlie Wilson inspired the artists (Guy) hit songs Groove Me & I Like. Those two songs will make you get up out of your chairs.💃💃💃💃💃💃
Hi 👋🏽 FIVE to that!
Hey Guy’s:
PLEASE 🙏🏽 do “Early in the Morning” 🌞 🐓 by the GAP Band! It’s 🔥
It's been FOREVER since I last heard this one! Seriously wow! 😎
I was a young nurse in the military stationed in Fort Ord , California dancing in the clubs with all of my friends on base, Seaside, Monterey and San Jose’ the 80’s were beautiful!
Thank you for your service !!!!
Now, move that coffee table over and do the Bump & the Freak & the Bus Stop!
Lol 😆 I’m with both of you girls! The 80’s were such an awesome 👏🏽 😎 and Like Totally 💯 most excellent time!
I’m so grateful to have been 17 in 1981! W😉W!

Omg I'm from Seaside/ Monterey California. I'm a military brat myself
YES!!! ❤️❤️❤️My Music!!! So so glad you reacted to the SOS Band!!! Someone’s leading you to what we teens grooved to in the early 80’s, and I haven’t stopped! 😀 Please do Cheryl Lynn’s “TO BE REAL” next; it’s a disco classic💎
Everyone’s a Winner - Hot Chocolate. Much love y’all
You'll love the positive vibes and you'll be dancing to this song!
Best skating song ever!!! Throwback to the 80s! I’m going to listen to it now 😂
YAAS!
Oh yeah!! Once I hear that song. I have to hear it at least 3 more times during the day.
@@ldybozz well now I gotta hear it again just cause you saud that

You guys have brought so many smiles to my face. Thank you
I love it when Tim gets into a song. Even Fred is digging this one! Go young Kings!
You know it's good when Dred Fred puts it on his phone!
Do “Curious” by Midnight Star
Representing KY 😁🐎🌟💗
That was my song and everyone’s song back in the day! 🥰

Wow, going back to 1983 there my friend. Great song tho. 🥰
Excellent recommendation 👍
DJ Jazzy Jeff & The Fresh Prince -- Summertime
Don Henley -- The Boys Of Summer
Great Job as usual
My song!! So glad you guys discovered them! Great band from my youth! Saw them perform at Disneyland in the 80’s 😊
These songs were soooo long, dancing to them was like a work out; not many were fat😝
In the 80s we all had small butts from dancing or speed dance rollerskating. Come 2006 and the Kardashians ruined our small fit butts. 🤪
Exactly 😂 LMAO
That was true. It was not like today. If you couldn't fit the clothes, you didn't wear the clothes 😁. Being in shape was important.
No cellulite on kids at all - skating, biking, walking....
It kept me in shape, I still try to dance to these songs, but the old hips and knees don't work like they used to... LOL
I love your reaction, Tim & Fred, lol, the smack noises!Tim is really rockin' to it, feelin' the vibes!!! 🤣🤣🤣 This is a good song to dance to.....I've danced to it many times back in the day, good ole 70's!!! Another good one is "Good Times" by Chic!!! 😂👍🏻💃
SOS still high on my list from those years. Just The Way You Like It is my #1, The Finest, Weekend Girl, No Ones Gonna Love You are the JAMS!!!
Oh yeah !! One of their few hits that Jam and Lewis didn't produce. You must venture into lands of their slow jams. Their whole catalog is SERIOUS !! Fantastic choice. Love it !!
Wasn't produced by Flyte Tyme, BUT, they were the 1st act signed to their TABU label.
Yassss love this song.
If you want more like this...bands...try some Midnight Star. No Parking on the Dance floor or Operator or Freak-A-Zoid. I haven't heard you check out Con Funk Shun - listen to Got to be Enough or Chase Me or Too Tight.
Con funk shun! I think they may have done Got To Be Enough? If not they really need to.
Wow! I had forgotten all about this song! I used to love jammin to this song. Oh, the memories.
I remember doing cheerleading routines to this song. So hey guys, if you're going to delve into disco, you definitely need to check out the Queen of Disco. Donna Summer. She had 32 hit singles. 14 reached the top 10. Check out "On the Radio," "She Works Hard for the Money", "Bad Girls", "Hot Stuff", "Last Dance". And thank you for entertaining us! You Rock!
They definitely need to check out Donna Summer.
Ditto. Cheerleader for Life!
Absolutely was the best music around!! I graduated from highschool in the early 1980's when the music was so awesome!! You should listen to "Give it Up" by KC and the Sunshine Band. Now that's great! Or Shalimar''s "Dead Giveaway" Both songs are really good!!
Lol! 😆 No Afro in the 80’s. Jheri curl is more like it.
Okay ya’ll singing at the end is hilarious!! 🤣🤣
I didn't get my 'fro cut off until at least '82! :D
@@MindTrickedX24 Lol! You were holding on to those 70’s boy. Did you keep wearing the bells too? My mom made me wear this custom made patchwork blue jean bell bottom suit in the early 80’s to school. I cried in the car all the way there. 😩😆
@@anjiharrell6175 LOL - I don't *think* I was still wearing bells, or if I actually wore them, 'cause I was a kid and had very little say on my wardrobe :D
@@MindTrickedX24 Yeah, me too unfortunately.

“Just Be Good To Me” even better!
Hellll Yeah!!!
I wasn’t on skates, I was jamming at a house party 🎉!!!
It was and still is a JAM!!!
Their biggest hit was Just Be Good To Me. That would be good to see a reaction to.
Yes please. 🌞
Absolutely ( ❤️
I hear you, but actually, from a Billboard point of view, this was their biggest hit. It reached #1 on Black Billboard and #3 on Billboard Hot 100. This (their first single) was a world-wide hit...
Check out THE BROTHER’S JOHNSON - “STOMP”. Excellent song to get your funk on and groove to.
I second this.
"Everybody take it to the top!"
Cheryl Lynn ft Luther Vandross “If This World Were Mine”
YES, YES, YES!!
Aw yeah, since you fellas loved that classic phat track you must jam to Tom Browne - Funkin for Jamaiica. Amazing!
You guys are the Original. I subscribed to you all as soon as I saw you. Keep doing what you are doing. Believe it or not, you two are bringing this Country back together. You all should be on a Town hall and interviewed. Thank you. This is so much fun.❤️
I lovvvvvvve this song. 💞💞💞💥
It takes me back. The 70's were so much fun. Love it. "Dance disco vibe" you both are correct.
Great song!
Oh yeah!!! Glad to see you react to this Twins!
This is one of the funkiest bands of all times. I went one of their concerts in 1998 in Chicago...they were amazing!
Yall dancing and singing is so cute.
Check out "No parking on the dance floor"and "Freakazoid" both by Midnight Star. "Jam on it" by Nucleus. I love this song brings back beautiful memories from back in the day. Glad you did this song. Another one you should check out is one of my all time faves " Car Wash" by Roles Royce ( I hope I spelled it correctly)

GOAT GOAT SONG
I love songs where instruments made themselves known like percussion & horns. This is a feel good song that I'm thankful I have the pleasure of knowing. If you haven't already, check out Harold Melvin and the Bluenotes (If You Don't Know Me By Now). One of my favorites. Also, listen to Johnnie Taylor (I Believe in You).
And with that Imma teenager skating at Downey Skate-O-Rama and dancing at Cloud 9 at Knott's Berry Farm! 🤩 Thanks guys
