The wedding sampler turned out very nice. It was good of you to consider what the bride prefers.
Loving the grannt square blanket. My mom made them wirh stash yarn and i was amazed at how her grandkids loved them.
I may have ti try an audiobook or two to see if i can find "a guy". Hopefully, Sam Elliott has narrated a few.

Hi Tina, well done with all your progress, thanks for everything you’ve shared with us. I’ve finished my 2 nd jumper after taking 2 years to do it. I will look fwd to when you join your set in sleeve on your vintage jumper as I found that quite tricky and would love to learn how you do it. Im still working on my socks following your tutorials and I’ve done the heels yay! I made a note of the person you get your sock recipe from and will watch her tutorial too.😊
I must admit I'm nervous about setting in the sleeves. It's quite textured with the colour work so fingers crossed I can get it neat enough 🤞😊

It rained all day but thankfully it wasn't an issue because being a hotel wedding we all stayed dry . It was a beautiful wedding 😁
I hope you enjoyed the wedding and weren't too nervous doing your reading. My daughter was also attending a wedding on Saturday so I had the grandsons with me. They weren't that interested in the Coronation but they certainly enjoyed the afternoon tea I made for afterwards. 😁

Glad you had a nice vacation. Yes lots of people ask me to teach them sock knitting. I knit magic loop TAAT. The vanilla pattern is what is in my head from trial and error. It may not work for everyone.
We all have our favourite sock recipe and different shape feet . The older I am the more different my feet become 🤣

I tried using Drops Nord for cuff, heel and toes with the rest in a strip sock yarn. I had a lot of problems with the Drops Nord. It’s very splity yarn.
I've never found that with the Nord . I wonder if you had a bad batch 😕

I do the same with my heel flap for the same reason ! Im going to rethink my toes and try your method as I'm just nearing the toes 😊

Thanks for the suggestion. I've never used the elastic. It seems to be a popular method . I'm think I have used crochet before but I can't remember which sweater. I'm sure it was successful 😁

Nice to have you back. Belated happy birthday. I love audiobooks, to knit or or walk to and agree the narrator makes all the difference. Your cross stitch framed gift is beautiful, I am sure your daughter in law will love it. Enjoy the wedding. Hope you can share some pics of their special day, or at least of you in your dress. Very nice show & tell! Audiobooks: love them while knitting. Narrators have improved a lot (listening for 20 yrs or so). Some can change their voices to each character, which is great, but not all narrators can do that. That said, HOW they read a book is key. Monotone readers - ugh… from years ago. I try to get into the content of the story versus getting irritated w the narrator.
Mistakes: nahhh, not me !!! (haha)
You’ll get the Butterflies in the perfect frame w plenty of fabric to spare! I’m sure of it!

Hello! Glad you are back. I listen to storytel while I am knitting, so I can combine two lovely hobby’s. But I think the narratar is as important as the story, sometimes I have to stop because I really don’t like te narrator. One who is brilliant is Nathaniel Parker but that is personal of course. Loving your vintage knit and your holiday socks. I tried, and failed once again to knit socks on circulars 🤬 I got all the way to the toes though so I think I will try again and put a lifeline in before I start the toes this time! It's looking like I will have to carry on my love of socks on 2 straights for now though.

Your vintage knit is looking good! 😍 I just love mine so much. It's surprisingly easy to wear even though it's short sleeved. But admittedly mine is light fingering not DK. 32st per 4" because I'm crazy haha
I'm really excited to cast on Susan Crawford's version too. I already purchased the book 🥰
I'll be interested to see how you get on with it and what Susan's gauge is like . I must admit I like a quicker knit but I also want comfort wear too 😁

I decrease down to 32 stitches . It only takes about 1 inch when decreasing 4 stitches very other round . To be honest I haven't got it written down , I wing it 😊 On my latest sock I changed toe colour before I started decreases. Just in case you noticed it's longer than 1 inch . That was a visual design decision 😁

I think it's called a cable cast on. It's not super stretchy but it's fine for my feet 😁
Hi ! How do you do that square toe please? How many stitches are left for Kitchner?
I use 9 inch needles and the toe is always a pain. Thanks!!
I go down to 32 stitches . 16 on each needle to kitchener . Remember to knit the sock longer because the decreases are shorter . It's only about 1 inch on my gauge 2.25 mm 😀
