    This whole trailer. Epic Seventh Doctor quotes and awesome moments that define his run and who is Doctor is. Then suddenly...

    Excellent video on an equally excellent Doctor. Favourite moments from the 7th Doctor for me are manipulating Davros to commit the Daleks genocide, the sniper scene from The Happiness Patrol, entertaining the Gods of Ragnarok, breaking Aces faith and somewhere else the teas getting cold!

    This is excellent! I’ve not seen a lot of McCoy’s stories, but this trailer has encouraged me to do so!

      If you want to see an even more explosive variant to whet your appetite, be sure to check out the "Babelcolour Tribute: THE McCOY YEARS". Doesn't contain any spoilers, just every single explosive moment compact into one bundle of awesome. In addition, if you want an episodic taster by the BBC, be sure to check out the "Doctor Who - The Greatest Show in the Galaxy - Coming Soon Trailer". Watch that and tell us your thoughts :) If you hear "Search, Search, Search for the truth" at the start, you've found the right one. Don't get me started on Curse of Fenric - that's when Doctor Who became borderline horror-story-awesome.

    The best era of doctor who by far. The most action backed. With great dark moment. Great production. Great writing. And fantastic acting. And amazing story telling
    Shame he only had 3 seasons. I wish doctor who had not been cancelled after season 26 after what was being set up for the next season.

    Fantastic, thank you.
    Though 5 & 6 are the Doctors I first really remember, though with vague recollections of 4, 7 was the first Doctor whose stories I could watch and really 'get' some of the themes. I loved this incarnation.

    Only seen 4 stories so far (5 if you count the movie) but isn’t that bad. remembrance is my favourite and the trailer is as brilliant as the time when I got to meet McCoy at Swindon comic con and signed my time and the rani poster😊

    People look down on the Sylvester McCoy era, because his Doctor was clownish or melodramatic, with too many cartoony action sequences. Yet... the clownishness and melodrama and cartoony action sequences of Matt Smith, nah, they're all fine _for some reason._

    • @Gallifreyforever97
      @Gallifreyforever97  6 років тому +3

      Interesting perspective, I love Sylvester's clownish behaviour so to speak because it's well balanced with truly dark moments! What your describing is probably due to people having different perspectives on the classic doctor who & the new series.

    • @chriszone50
      @chriszone50 6 років тому +1

      That is because Matt Smith's era is better than Sylvester Mccoy's era if you don't include expanded media. Matt Smith Smith's era is one of the weaker ones from the new series but it still destroys Sylvest Mcoy's era.

    • @theoutcastboi
      @theoutcastboi 6 років тому +2

      Life Upgrade McCoy got far better stories than Smith did. Season 26 is far better than Series 5 in my opinion.
      The only reason 11 is more popular is because he is a NuWho Doctor. The only Classic Doctor that most people nowadays would know is the 4th Doctor, because he was the longest serving Doctor and he was the Doctor when it was at the height of it's popularity.
      The 7th Doctor's run started rough for a number of reasons: the fact that the stories had to be rewritten in a short amount of time after the BBC's controller had forced them to sack Colin, the fact that JNT wanted to leave but was forced to stay on at the last minute, the fact that the 1985 hiatus had damaged the ratings and they had to get a new script editor, coupled with a rushed production (there maybe more, but this is what I can remember. There is a documentary "Last chance saloon" which covers it).
      After the rough Season 24 though, the show became so much better and many of the most popular stories of the 80's are in Season 25 and 26, including my personal favourite, Remembrance of the Daleks. And before anyone tries to tell me that my opinion is wrong (which defies the meaning of opinion) or I just like that era because nostalgia, let me say that I started with Tennant and Smith and I still think this era trumps their's.

    • @TechRefreshed1000
      @TechRefreshed1000 6 років тому +1

      You are wrong, look at the ratings on timescales who love classic doctor who more or IMDB. They both say that Matt Smith had a better era on average and that Matt Smith has a higher peak era which means if you were to do a top 10 episodes for each doctor and make a mean average of that top 10 Matt Smith would have a higher peak era. Matt Smith's era, therefore, beats Sylvester Mccoy's era on average of all their episodes and in terms of peak top 10. Critics and the general audience agree on this. This is probably because the newer series has higher production values. You can't just say that one of the worst doctor's is better than new series doctor's to sound clever because you don't, that only workd with Tom Baker or possibly Patrick Troughton. You sound like one of those idiots who say Colling Baker is tons better than David Tennant because you think you are cool for disagreeing with the majority and being a minority.

    • @xjames118
      @xjames118 6 років тому +4

      TechRefreshed1000 old son, I actually _do_ say Colin Baker is better than David Tennant, and not just because it's cool to be contrary. With Tennant, it was _so_ easy to write a popular character, a chirpy, energetic hipster with a completely unexplained superheroic desire to save the planet, every time. Colin Baker was abrasive and snooty, like a real person. He dressed like a dick, for no reason. The viewer had to work to sympathise with him, and it was the same satisfaction you got from, say, a Dennis Potter or Mike Leigh film.
