However through experiencing the loss of
Loved ones through Cancer and illness…
And watching their suffering I did begin to ask God Why …. I am back on the Journey of trying to not Question Gods will and walk in Faith …

There’s a difference between God allowing vs causing bad things to happen; and this concept is just scratching the surface of this idea. The beauty of free will comes at the unfortunate cost of negative consequences for our actions, as well as sometimes the negative impact others actions have on those around them.

It's rare to find people like you these days other than my people
I wrestled with the problem of pain for years and years, and I couldn’t reconcile human suffering with an omnipotent and good God. If it’s troubled all the great thinkers over the centuries I’ve always known that I’m never going to fully comprehend it! But I think I’ve come to a point where I can understand it on a basal level. I do know that as a result of satan and the fall there is evil and darkness in this world. Joni Eareckson Tada describes Earth as a combination of an over-spilling of Heaven and an over-spilling of hell. There are rainbows and flowers and friends and laughter and joy, but there is also war and famine and disease and sorrow. We are required to choose whether we want an eternity with or without God. God is everything that is loving, peaceful, pure, perfect, holy, just, kind…there is no God in hell so those attributes are not in hell.
The problem of hell used to worry me more than suffering on Earth but I understand it now as just a place without God. Without God there is no peace, rest, love etc…and that is truly hell.
He’s done everything in His power to make it possible and to keep us out of hell. ‘For God so loved this world that He sent His one and only Son’, so that we could partake of that we do not deserve. A lot of my Christian friends see pain and suffering as the reason God can’t exist; I see it as why He has to exist. It is the absence of His presence. Pain is God’s megaphone to rouse a deaf world, as C.S. Lewis said. God uses it, (does not create it), to make us realise what life is without Him.
As you explained, we have to pray for God’s will to be done on Earth, as it is Heaven, but we have to play our part too. People may ask ‘why is there suffering in this world?’ One may ask ‘why are there dirty people/cars/homes etc in this world when there is so much soap/detergent etc? Goodness/love etc has to be ‘applied’ just as much as soap does. So there is evil because of the fall, because of satan’s machinations, and because of our neglect to ease suffering, and our neglect to do what’s right and good.
I know we cannot do the ‘right’ thing unless we have means and opportunity to do the wrong thing. Otherwise we would all be robots. God is not a bully; He stands at the door and knocks. He will not force Himself onto us. We cannot accept Him without choice, without free will, otherwise we would just be His puppets. You can’t love someone without having the opportunity or choice not to, or it’s coercion. So free will has to be a part of this world. And some of us (all of us - for all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God), will always choose evil.
There is so much pain in this life but God has provided the ultimate ‘get out of jail free’ card, and, although I will never truly FULLY understand the concept of suffering, I know that God is God. If I could understand Him, He wouldn’t be God. Some may say that’s a feeble and evasive answer, but His Son suffered more than any of us…and that’s the greatest and purest form of love.

God allows evil exist because there can be no good without evil, as no one is truly good if they don't have the capability of being evil. In the same way no one can be healthy without sickness existing. Also not to mention God allows Satan to tempt us and test us, as his evil unintentionally served a purpose in filtering out who is righteous and who is only righteous when everything goes their way. Another way of saying it could also be there are no heroes without a villain to overcome. In short, a life without adversity is a life without purpose, as if someone was never tested nor tempted they are nothing.

It’s sounds like you’ve been listening to Jordan peterson. Love many of his ideas, but I don’t align fully on his views of human suffering as I think his conceptualization isn’t built entirely on a biblical framework. Although he does do good theology at times 💯
