Thanks for adding me......when I first listened to SM I was 22 years old battling the worst suicidal depression from a life of abuse. I had become extremely religious and was attracted to the cover of New Gold Dream. The songs were mystical, transcendent and I projected my own life into the music.......Sparkle in the Rain raised my consciousness...it gave me chills....out-of-body-experiences........I survived.... I earned three degrees and have worked in hospitals, taught public school 20 years...I think I am a pretty happy person today...6 years ago I found Graffiti Soul.......wow......a few months ago I came across Walk Between Worlds.....again its a life changing experience....Last Monday saw them for the first time!

It was so exciting and sexy to be young in the 80s.... in your twenties and living with a gorgeous nutter. Music like this forming the backdrop- no internet to mess with you. I miss the craziness.

I have followed simpleminds since I was a wee boy, the band is epic, timeless and never boring. They are still at the top of their game after all these years, what a band what a team, what epic music.
LOVE it!!!! This band has followed me in my life since the 80's and finally, in February I will see them live in Copenhagen! Miraculous! I saw Cherisse Osei playing in the Bryan Ferry Avonmore tour - EXCELLENT! Wow!

I was there that night and hearing the acoustic version again, it takes me back to The Live In The City of Light album. The version off that live album is still my favourite.

What an amazing version!
I've always loved the SM but I have to admire the decision of Jim, Charlie, and the SM production team to add three strong women artists into the band. The drummer, OMG!, and singer Sarah Brown really bring vitality into the already kick ass SM sound. I wish the red head wasn't stuck in the back corner and was more out front in this show; who plays keyboard, too, in other recent SM videos. Love how SM folds new artists' energies into the already great SM sound! +++++++++++++++++++++
She's called Catherine A.D. (The Anchoress). She's also sang with Manic Street Preachers, and is in the process of recording her 3rd album. Her album The Art of Loving, won many accolades.

I am Flabbergasted. Absolutely Blown Away. I didnt know this was blooming. I chased SM 4evr. 1982. And up. TY. I REALLY NEEDED A GOOD CRY. I just didnt know it. The memorys. Big Bear, Lake Arrowhead Hilton Lodge (u get that chance, ) SOOOO GO GO GO. I ache for that area utterly every day. Fires burned alot and CRESTLINE got damaged. GO. whoa totally didnt say. CA. Very special concert. Jim Kerr employs black artists. 50 years ago I fought against apartheid. For my thanks, after being beaten by white racists, my Nigerian wife cheated our house. I lost my white Family.

Brilliant version of this absolute classic. Not many people make electronic dance music in this way with traditional instruments. The only other band i can think of that's successfully done it is Onuka from Ukraine.
